  • Yup. It's not a joke. Today I picked up a FIRE-BREATHING 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT. It might look funny, but there's a method to my madness - it's about JOY! And this thing is FULL of it. So let's review why someone would want to own a PT Cruiser GT. #PTCruiser #GT #VLOG
    I made this video with:
    Camera: amzn.to/326TwWQ
Old version of this lens: amzn.to/35X68kM

    This tripod: amzn.to/3jUZSyS

I used to hate the cruisers. Then I got a deal on an 04 limited turbo.
I added a stage 1 Mopar tune, modern performance downpipe and straight exhaust. I have a video on my channel that shows my PT dragging a 340 Duster in a heads up race on street tires. Turbos are fun.

The thing with a PT Cruiser is it is an incredibly practical car and it looks like your whole family is going to love it. Enjoy, I know I'll enjoy the journey with you.

I own a 2006 as well oh, that Silver Bullet is strong AF. I love that car so much I want to try and hang on to it for ever basically. Definitely get another PT Parts car of the higher trim level and make my PT Cruiser way nicer as well as replace the engine or rebuild it whatever is going to be cheaper.

Dave. This comment made my day. It’s tough watching videos about cameras rack up 10’s of thousands of views and then stuff like this that I really enjoyed making and am proud of get a hundred. But then you remember that a 100 is still a lot and people are enjoying it. I will rejoice when I can ditch this old G7 for filming though... EM1 some day soon...

Funny, I had an 85 rx7, I loved it. Had to sell it about 12 years ago. Just picked up an 06 route 66 edition for basically free ( traded an old toyota pickup for it that was given to me. The cruiser has 226,000 miles on it and had a broken timing bet, but is absoulutely immaculate. Only thing not factory are the wheels, which are konigs, but have original size tires.. It is also the 5 spd,and is just as fun to drive as my rx7 was., but with way more room and twice the gas mileage.

I have a Suzuki Wagon R Wide Turbo Manual that spins 8400 RPM and makes 100hp from the 1.0 litre 4 cylinder in it. It has a head gasket or head crack issue and it's been nothing but pain for years, but every time I take it for a drive and hear the wooosh pssst through each gear, I just grin. So so random onlookers :-D Let's see how your buy works out!

    • @JustinReves
      @JustinReves  4 года назад +2

That’s so sweet. Kei cars are a world I haven’t dove into yet but that certainly sounds like a BLAST. I actually got my winter tires for my RX-7 from someone else with an imported Kei car because 13” tires aren’t real popular anymore haha.

    They also come in
GT Automatics. A PT Cruiser that is more rare than this one with a sunroof is finding a GT Manual Transmission that is a convertible. Like Doug DeMuro youtube review any GT Manuals are a rare find. Convertibles are the rarest. Also any Limited edition is rare find.

ebrake light is typically not an ebrake light, it's dual purpose - that's one of them, the other is low brake fluid level AKA low pads and/or leaking fluid. Check the pads first, replace and then flush. I know a guy who loves those engines, but in light Neons :-)

    • @JustinReves

Oh that’s actually super helpful - I’ve owned about 15 different vehicles, but only two of them were Domestics and they were both under warranty hah, so I’m not as familiar with fixing them.

Youve done well, the stick turbo gt is getting rarer, and truthfully is a great car! Just remember, follow All of mopars fluid reccomendations and dont sub in inferiors many of these cars had faliures because owners did not use synthetic fluids in them and destroyed the drivetrain so dont skimp and use only mopar fluids or better equivelints like Amsoil or mobil 1👍
