This video turned out a little more ranty than I wanted but it's hard for me to not get heated when talking about this situation sorry 🙏 I also didnt wanna go into super detail about the situation since there is already a ton of people that have gone over it, I just wanted to give my perspective as a long time vtuber fan. Happy Valentines Day everyone ❤
Honestly whatever ranty you got it was the right amount, its commendable you didnt went even higher. Thank you for your words. (also I'm pretty sure you know and didnt want to add to the pyre, but the fact that the livers statement was released as Doki was starting her Neopets stream? What is even the fuck man...)
They won't leave Doki alone because of the fact that they are losing Sponsorships,Subscriptions,Stocks going down real fast. They're doing the "I'm dragging you down with me" move.
Little do they know, it pushes her further up. There seems to be a strong correlation between Elira losing subs, and Doki gaining. The drama hurts Nijisanji's numbers and boosts Doki's. The only real downside for Doki is probably the tax this puts on her already weakened mental health, hopefully the support from the people around her and the Dragoons is enough to overshadow it.
They don't care enough about Doki to want to bring her down with them. What they care about is losing money and sponsors and business partners. In their mind, if they can sling enough mud at Doki to turn public opinion against her, they think people will start taking their side and thus get their condition restored.
I think they just lack common sense, how exactly is this going to make people support them? Everything they do just make people support doki more and hate them more
Imma be real - this situation went beyond "vtuber drama". This has become "corporate mismanagement and incompetence almost cost an employee their life and now they try to save face by throwing the ex-employee under the bus."
The sad thing is, this really isn't new. If en peeps had paid attention to the other branches, or the Japanese weren't so accepting of these types of things, everyone would have seen they've always been shady as all hell. Not drama, but a company wide culture of exploitation, abuses, and unfair practices.
@@ericp631Conner talked about this a bit, though he has to be really careful what he says due to Japanese libel laws. Part of it is how Japanese talent agencies (which obviously the vtuber agencies spun off from) are, namely that the agencies have a disproportionate amount of pull with traditional media. These also take a massive cut of the talents pay. Niji seems to have taken literally all the worst traits of the Japanese talent companies. Cy Yue also mentioned how he talked to both Nijisanji and another company (not named afaik) the other company requested he go through them for any voice acting in the future, while Nijisanji wanted him to stop voice acting entirely. He turned both down, but obviously the Niji one was far worse.
I think the worst part of it is that most of the JP side, whether it's the JP management, JP livers, and the general JP audience that I've seen so far don't seem to care and blindly support Niji thanks to the "hail corpo" mindset ingrained in their culture. I hope that has changed since then once they realize the truth about Niji's callous disregard for their former liver's life because I'm pretty sure things like that are also serious business in Japan.
"Vtuber drama" is almost always a misunderstanding or an individual making a mistake. This is the culmination of hidden problems in an otherwise trusted company that has rattled the entire Vtuber industry as a whole. The fact that they managed to exist this long and still have support is amazing in hindsight. If it wasn't for the Selen drama NIjiEN would still be succeeding while treating their talents like garbage.
This Niji-EN dumpster fire is so bad that the phrase “I hope your Oshi graduates/gets terminated” is now viewed as a good thing in context to Niji-EN, holy crap
First, Doki's tweet this morning broke my goddamn heart. All this poor girl wants is to move on and these fucking ghouls wont let her. Second, I am floored and moved by the breadth and depth of Dokis empathy and patience. With everything shes gone through, everything shes still being put through, and shes still pleading for empathy, understanding, and peace. We dont deserve this birb but you best believe I'll be supporting her forever.
Fr. Remember how much incriminating evidence Zaion had collected in just a month, Selen has been in Nijisanji for more than 2 years. She could probably tear the whole of NijiEN (and a bunch of livers too, I suspect) apart by just disclosing a fraction of that to the public. Even more people would support her after that. But no, she keeps it to herself, not for her, but for the sake of the people who bullied her. And they thank her by publicly slandering her to dampen the blow they think they are about to receive. Because they don't understand her perspective. How could they, they only think about themselves.
Amazing news, Doki is now thriving! Even more amazing news, the "clique" are now in shambles and are finding it difficult to even get past 4 digit CCVs. Vox tried to stream in Bilibili but backfired immensely, same with Elira. Unfortunate news, Niji EN is now in shambles so all those livers that were caught in the crossfire are also in trouble.
@@87axalHer self control is admirable, and in hindsight it played out better for her image. But god damn, I want to see what evidence she had. If only to satisfy my curiosity.
The fact she wanted to leave on NEUTRAL TERMS still even after all of this is so mature and professional, is insane. Mad respect for her and I hope Doki gets the recognition and support she deserves!
Not only that, she was still willing to let all of that go and begin a fresh journey after the Lunar New Year. Kurosanji said "NO!" and fucked her over AGAIN with that smear campaign and sharing her confidential documents with people who had no business knowing those documents even existed, let alone get access to them and read them!
@@Winters004 I'd laugh so hard if his graduation stream was just a rainbow-colored "fuck you, I'm free" on black background. I doubt that's gonna happen, but I'd love it.
"The Nijisanji Situation Was Worse Than I Thought". I've been repeating that line to myself every week for a while now, because seemingly every week Niji manage to top themselves and dig even deeper into the pit of depravity they inhabit.
They managed to make it worse and worse and worse... Pomu, Nina, Mysta, Mika... all my oshis, they are not there now and they expressed concerns about management. Selen was the nail in the coffin for Nijisanji for me. I like Scarle and Rosemi, but I can't bring myself to know that, by supporting them, I will support the same company that made worse for my oshis.
@@artunsiga25this is a myth that people keep spreading just because of a comment she liked - which is one of many comments she mass-liked so it doesn't mean anything - with a few coincidences and out of context texts strewn in between.
I get a sinking feeling in my stomach knowing that 50% or more of any support I give to a Niji talent goes to the company that did all that to Selen and continues to try and break her even now. I can't handle it. No more Niji for me.
I was already doen with them when Doki first talked about her situation, but this should be the last straw for any Niji-fan, _especially_ in light of her most recent statement which makes them look even more evil.
I listened to that hit piece by Elira, Vox and Ike. Disgusting. Someone's tolerance for what is considered bullying is different person to person. What some may consider teasing or just off handed remarks can be taken very differently by others. For them to say "We don't believe what we did was bullying. But here's why Selen is evil" and basically try to sick their fanbases on her is disgusting.
Imagine weaponizing their fanbases against someone who already attempted unaliving *twice*. Disgusting. I'm so happy people didn't buy it and took Doki's side.
also for nijii to use elira and those three as potenital scapegoats, and to not broadcast the message from niji's own yt channel but again, effecitvely say ''you, liver, stream this message from us, but on your channel'' elira said she ''volunteered'' her channel to do it, if it's such a ''negligent'' thing why was it done using a liver acount and not a Niji's own, since it is coming FROM the company, not wholly from the livers. it reeks of ''throwing meat to the wolves'' as if they think they can force everyone to do as they want with no repercussions, and all they've done is paint targets on their own liver's backs, rather than rightfully on their own
Don't forget, Niji had to APPROVE this message being released, as it is. I highly doubt they let this be read live so it was definitely pre-recorded and approved prior to release. At least, Niji now has 3 new scapegoats to throw under the bus next. Niji can try to say they had nothing to do with it but the title is literally "A Message from NIJISANJI EN" and with how strict they are with their IPs, no way they would let a liver use their name without approval.@@knuckles543
Nijisanji terminated Doki 2 hours after her lawyer sent a document she wrote with more, very personal, information because they'd ghosted her for a full week. Ghosted for a week. Send supporting, very personal information, to HR and Legal, not for distribution. Fired 2 hours later. She tries to move on. Scheduled her first game stream. Nijisanji put out a hit piece featuring 3 talent outright slandering her, deliberately at the same time. After they KNEW she'd tried to END HER LIFE TWICE. They ATTACKED AND HARASSED someone who TRIED TO END THEIR LIFE TWICE *RECENTLY*. Her friends had to stay up with her all night. There's no way she's not in a vulnerable mental state. There's no shades of grey here. That's about as unethical as you can get. It's almost like they wanted to actually kill her. Nijisanji is just EVIL. PURE EVIL. I CAN NEVER SUPPORT NIJISANJI EVER AGAIN. THEY PHYSICALLY REVOLT ME.
I'll add that I want to move on. I'm trying to move on. I'm not going to post on twitter any more about this, but the whole thing just makes me see red whenever it comes up. I just don't understand what is actually going on in the heads of Niji management to think that anything they've done over this is OK? Are they all complete sociopaths? How do they sleep at night?
@@duke_of_tako To be an Japanese executive requires you to be a complete sociopath. Its way their laws allow them to get away it. But that matter very little when your going to be utterly bitch slapped by Canadian judges for breaking dozens of laws.
No matter how you look at it, no matter how charitable your interpretation of events, Nijisanji firing her after receiving a document alleging workplace harassment is illegal retaliation. Simply reading the termination letter and taking it at face value, with no other context, is already enough to come to this conclusion.
@@duke_of_tako What's going on is they KNOW they fucked up bad. They KNOW if Doki files a lawsuit they will lose BIG TIME. And when she hired a lawyer they panicked and are actively trying to throw everything at the wall to see if anything sticks, or if maybe they can get Doki to try a 3rd time... That's what's going on. I would not be surprised if we some day find out Kurosanji hired actual Yakuza goons to run their management, and that's how Riku went from a fucking ugly ass nobody college dropout loser to a billionaire.
That's actually pretty standard. Vox offered his fans to be in his music video and people had to send in their Kindredsona design for it...and if you wanted to be included, that meant that they had to sign over the rights to that design. It's not even a huge deal and is standard for a country that is very particular about copyright because they don't wanna get sued for infringement. That doesn't mean that they will ever use these designs for other things, it just means that now the artist can't use it and make money from it because it now is something that belongs to Nijisanji...that's it.
When the Indie person who went to the hospital TWICE is calm, collected, and more professional and aware of the laws and privacy of her co-workers than a multi-billion dollar / national company. Honestly, the joke company created onstream by Pippa FlaVR that became a Co-op of fan indie VTubers seems better run that takes better care of the people in it, with a budget smaller than the catering, no, smaller than the Tabb soda budget on the Niji Yacht.
Honestly kind of jealous of people that have a lawyer on deck. I probably know less about the law than even Nijisanji EN, but I don't go around making claims that I do.
5:10 To add on to this, she was limited to only be able to host events within the EN branch and cannot include any other branches' members. And to make the matter worse, in the same tweet, she mentioned that we should "look foward to other livers international events and tournaments" which means this prohibition was strictly exclusive to Selen, while other livers could still host their own international events.
This one boggles me, the rrat 1 of the talent is heavily involved and influential to management side is having a weight to it. I've felt this since the costume concept, and they prove to do the same thing, it felt like a targeted hate, bully, and/or envy towards selen
Which is pretty nice for Axel and Altare to reach out to her and hold big Apex Holo-Niji custom event together. It is a loophole in the restriction. She can't hold it alone but what if Cover corp offer to help.
This now makes so much sense if you have seen the GREAT UNIFYING RRAT in 4chan. Still, take it with a grain of salt but HORY SHIET THE PIECES ARE FIT INTO THIS PUZZLE.
The underlying problem with Nijisanji is that they're too focused on growing the company for the shareholders. Too many debuts in too short of a timespan. They don't do international market research. They don't give existing talents a foundation to grow on. They don't make sure new debuts fit in with the rest of the staff and talents. No support at all. Also, this came up in FalseEyeD's stream yesterday: they are currently looking for part-time managers that are in highschool or university.
I'm sure that last part will go fantastically! "no one in that demographic will apply with how bad Niji's rep is and the ubiquity of the internet's word." You underestimate the desperation of the high school / college demo to have stable income and the allure of getting to work with "cool" vtubers for a living. Such a move lines up perfectly with how they've been running this shitshow, having such inexperienced people there to further sow chaos as the senior pancreases further entrench their greedy, ruthless, "I'm the real victim" bully clique. Exactly what I want to see in the arc of watching the clown branch of a scuzzy company utterly collapse.
Lmao they still cheap out on the managers, only looking for part time managers without work experience. People say niji has freedom, turns out that means no one is monitoring and managing them. My speculations is that their core issue and the main cause of their problems is they cheap out on having a professional management team for their en branch. Can you imagine the talents managing themselves? No wonder there's rampant favoritism. In comparison, look at holo. Just off the top of my head, there's A-Chan and Nodoka-chan as the public facing managers. They even have their own live2d. As a backup, fubuki can also function as a makeshift PR professional too. You can see the outcome in how professional their event managements are. Even when they have an emergency, it's quickly handled in a professional way. Imo that's how you know whether the management team is good, how they handled an emergency.
They're hiring scapegoats, this time the perps may have been too valuable to completely throw under the bus so they used their chonkiest (in terms of fan base) talents to, in Asmond's words, "tank the raid boss while undergeared" Those part time managers will come and go as disposable human shields. This kind of tactic works in JP but unfortunately in the west of we see 10 people fired in a year for the same management problems it's won't be a huge leap for people to see maybe whoever is above these guys is the problem. For the amount of rampant consumerism there is in the west, we don't have as much corpo loyalty as they'd probably like us to have.
@@lacrossev Yep. One thing I do like about the west is the hatred of corpos. Complete inverse in Japan where corpos are worshipped, which then leads to toxic work environments.
In my mind, there are two possible reasons for this mess: 1. Record-breaking incompetence, or 2. Doki genuinely has a mountain of "receipts" that could potentially sue Nijisanji into the ground. Even if Doki is completely in the wrong and Elira, Vox and Ike genuinely wanted to defend themselves, under no circumstances is the correct answer to out yourselves as potential bullies with the only evidence being essentially "trust us, bros" and "look, she didn't follow procedure." The only logical (assuming everyone isn't just morons) reason for this is that the company feels threatened and the only weapons they have are Nerf guns and their own talent.
This is a great point. If they genuinely know they broke the law and Doki could take them to the cleaners if she wanted to, their last ditch effort is to use their talents to prevent Doki from getting public support. Good thing it didn't work.
But how do you think it's a good idea? Put yourself in the livers' shoes. How can the thought of going against the mob possibly not cross your mind? Did they not read their comments? How deep were they in their echo chamber? They could have told management no as a collective. But they didn't. They could have just say they want to move on and nothing more. But they didn't. Heck, they could have omitted the sentence that they "volunteered" to say those things and it would sound thousand times better. But they didn't. Heck, they made it sound more personal than it should. How did they think they could turn public opinion around? This is the biggest question right now. Someone is at the helm of Niji and that person is out of touch with the whole situation and they are keeping these livers in isolation as well as telling them what to think. It's baffling to me how deep they are in this echo chamber.
@@Swordfish728 not sure though why public support would even matter in case of court and breaking the law. So probably they had other reasons to do that. Also as someone said don't attribute to malice what can be explained by ignorance.
And it looks like these livers have assimilated so much in the Japanese PR culture that they forgot how the internet works. How did they think this is a good idea. Man...
Nah I think Niji just has terrible stupid and spiteful management that has no idea what theyre doing and were hoping that their harassment and defamation tactics would work like they worked on Soyu
It recently occurred to me that the only reason the Holoniji TSB Apex Customs happened was because Cover and EA were involved, otherwise it would have never happened which is very sad to imagine.
This is the reason why I started following you 2 years ago. As much as you are a goofball to us,you got a high level of common sence and actually are one of the pillars in this community the same as Doki - you connect us. We understand you are frustrated, but I think we should stop harrasing anyone except the Kurosanji itself and keep Doki's head up.
"This is beyond drama" my thoughts exactly. This is real hurt, real damage, real people having their trusts shattered and their lives upended. And none of it - NONE OF IT - needed to happen like this. I'm also done with Niji, and look at my friggin' profile pic, Pomu DREW THAT. I was about as all in as you can get.
As someone deeply invested in the V-Tubing community as well, it's imperative to shed light on the concerning situation surrounding Nijisanji and the unjust termination of Selen. This isn't just about drama.... It's about addressing legal and moral issues that affect not only the individuals involved but also the entire fanbase. Nijisanji, once revered, is now under scrutiny due to management practices that have left fans disillusioned and talents like Selen feeling undervalued. The refusal to honor prize money, lack of communication, and arbitrary decisions regarding collaborations are unacceptable. It's nice that you were able to have the time to speak about it as well o7
ID was doing quite well before the merger, ofc they don't give that much profit for Anycolour but they carry their own weight. But Kurosanji probably think that Niji ID would not be so much help to fund Tazumi's yacht.
It really says a lot about Kurosanji that they can't just let her go. She did so much for the company that they should be able to recognize and appreciate despite how it ended... but instead they drove her to self harm and just won't let her go. They keep trying to drag her back down to that dark place and for what? They're not going to win, if they would stop talking this would have just blown over I'm genuinely concerned this isn't the last we will hear from them about this and it's just insane.
@@CJODell124chan is currently working on a theory they have called the "Grand Unified Rrat" that is scandalous, scandalous, surprisingly believable, and matches up with available evidence. If they're right, this situation is gonna way more insane than it already is.
They're trying to kill her, because they know they fucked up big time and violated many laws. When Doki got an actual lawyer they panicked and are actively trying to get her to make a 3rd attempt.
“She’s an evil gigabrain villainess out to ruin our reputation” is such a weird message to plead for, when all she’s ever asked of her fans is to leave everything be. Especially when also telling shareholders she’s financially negligible.
Vox saying graduation is a choice is the most tone deaf thing he ever said. He can say that because he's the furthest away from the chopping block. What a smug bastard.
The situation is even worse than we knew. Doki tried offing herself not once, but *twice* , and these people have the gall to smear her like this, most likely based on either altered, mistranslated, or incomplete information. They ripped open the wound she was hoping would heal over time, and we can only hope her mental health stays stable enough to not have her try it a *third* time. She released both an English and Japanese statement a few hours ago, so show it to every Japanese person, who still supports Nijisanji. They need to know what the drama is all about, and why we are so angry at The Company, I fully expect the EN branch to collapse this year. The trust in them is fading quickly, and their stock is already down 15%. This whole shitshow is no longer incompetence, it's pure malice of the highest order, and I applaud her for _still_ wanting to take the high road and settle things peacefully. However, sooner or later, if this keeps happening, she _will_ have to drag them to court, and she has a very strong case against them the more ANYCOLOR keeps digging deeper.
I still recall seeing a clip on Twitter after Pomu's graduation was announced from Fulgur where he mentioned that "2024 is definitely going to be our year" and that there will be high-high's and low-low's... meanwhile 2024 has been the worst year in Niji history so far and I don't think that it will ever recover
I'm now convinced Kurosanji did that deliberately BECAUSE they want Doki to make a 3rd attempt. She can't sue them for all the crimes they have committed and publicly admitted to on Xitter if she's not around... I would not be surprised if we some day find out Kurosanji is run by the Yakuza. How else would an ugly ass college dropout nobody become a billionaire CEO of a major corporation in a mere few years? Even Bill Gates and Steve Jobs took close to 2 decades to get there, and those guys were actually smart and business savvy.
Koe actually did a really shitty coverage of this. He fails to mention what you said and Gumihoe's (Doki's best friend) tweet that the bullied are in and mentioned in the Elira video. Which to me explains fully why they appeared in the video and why they would have signed on to that.
9:10 this is only acceptable up to a point. Harassing a suicide survivor in the name of defending the company that pushed and abused the person to that point is not acceptable under any circumstances ever. You don't get to use the excuse "my boss told me to" or "it's just part of the job" to get away with attacking vulnerable individuals especially in support of a company that is trying to ruin them and sees their attempt and overall trauma as nothing more than an "negligible" obstacle for them to throw under the bus. The 3 that took part in that stream do not deserve any sympathy at all for engaging in harassing a suicide survivor in the name of the company that pushed them to that point and trying to give them a break because "they might need the job" or whatever other assumed circumstances is horrible and undermining the severity of what they are doing. It doesn't matter of they were told to or pushed to, they harassed a survivor and someone going through hell it doesn't fucking matter if the company said to do it you can't do that shit and have it be acceptable. Anyone with an ounce of dignity would never do that to someone regardless of their job being on the line and yes I can speak from a experience in a far less severe example of this sort of choosing dignity over company so don't try and tell me they can't or shouldn't have to in their far more serious context.
"When you stand before God, you cannot say, but I was told by others to do thus, or virtue was not convenient at the time. That will not suffice." Regardless if they were told to, they had the option to show human decency but chose not to.
1 minute in and I definitely agree with your opinion that we need to be using people's platforms to voice disdain. This has gone beyond just the scope of vtubers now, if nothing changes at this point, even with all of this information coming to light, then I don't even know anymore. Respect to you Koe. edit: I actually appreciate seeing the perspective of someone from within the community, especially Koe who has previously intimately worked with both big corps. I have seen Charlie's, Asmongold's and Muta's vids but idk, this vid just hits different
Because those 3 are outsiders looking in. It provides a different perspective and that, by itself, is good. But they don't get it. On the other hand, Koe is actual friends with Vtubers from different agencies (whether it's Holo, Niji, Vshojo, Phase, Idol, etc). He's about as well connected and sensible to talk about this than any other content creator I know (other than Nagzz).
@@irfanalfian8164 Koe’s collab with Finana was one of my favorite in the hole episodes, I hope after this all blows over I can still look back at it fondly
What is really fascinating and frustrating at the same time for me is how a company switched from alledgedly mistreating their talents to openly bullying them - basically proofing all those claims true that were brought against them.
It's worth noting Doki's resilience throughout this. If it was me, I'd have gone full scorched earth. It's clear that she just wants to leave the drama behind.
As someone who's both a Dragoon and one of the Quilldrens . . . The last few days was just heartbreaking. We're suppose to be a civilized, respectful and wholesome community . . . Why have we entered a Great Virtual War era? Not only that, but this can be considered as a civil war as well. If there's one thing I'm very sure about right now. . . This is only just the beginning. It's getting worse by the *seconds* as we speak.

Nah, the video by talents proved that Niji-clique is real. Elira is a snake and management pet, Vox is a two faced liar (favorite child claiming there is no favoritism) and Ike is just a spineless coward. that livestream by elira, vox and ike was the most mindboggling move to me tbh. 1. why would niji involve other livers in this? 2. why would those livers want to speak publicly on this when the entire fandom is on fire? 3. we all know that niji livers have to get permission for every goddamn sneeze they make, so who game them the permission to do this livestream and thought, "yeah, this is a really good idea!" 4. or even worse, if the livers were pressured into doing this, was this just niji's attempt to use the livers as a shield because only the livers' stream contained slander against doki, but the ceo's video didn't, so if this ever gets taken to japanese court for defamation (because niji is a japanese company, and no matter if doki is canadian or not, it was niji IN japan who acted out of line, see one of connor's recent clips for context on this), niji could just say, "yeah, but WE didn't say that, THEY did" like????????????? yeah, that'd surely make things better?????? honestly, judging by all the ways niji fucked up in the last week, the only possible outcome i can see here is that they realized that they've burried themselves in too much shit to be able to salvage the situation, so they'll try to get revenge on doki and ultimately abolish the EN branch while sacrificing a few of their livers and welcoming the loyal ones into the JP branch...
They're the company's most loved streamer and has a community that actively participates in everything they do, that's why the company get them involved. To try and "brainwash" the fans to thinking they were the ones in the right. You gotta use the most influential livers in your company to save face
1) Because those 3 are probably the biggest bullies that hurt Doki the most (Kurosanji EN confirmed on Xitter that those 3 were named in the documents). 2) Because they're such egotistical sociopaths and bullies that they want to hurt her more, maybe even get her to make attempt #3 so they don't get sued by her. 3) They weren't given permission, they were told to do it because Kurosanji EN's management are very much aware of points (1) and (2), and are probably also rooting for Doki to make a 3rd attempt, so they are off the legal hook for all the crimes they committed (and admitted to publicly on Xitter). 4) I doubt they were pressured into it, see points (1) - (3).
@@lareolanKFPYou completely fell for the bait. Doki says "managements's fault", Nijisanji says "Livers were bullies, also here's three prominent Livers delivering a canned statement". Like, really? Do you not see how oddly convenient this setup is? Especially given the fact they can jettison the livers if they get taken to court over this. "We never made them say anything!"
Just to note that the subscriber count of Nijisanji Livers in JP main agency has started to drop, starting with Salome Hyakumantenbara on 11th February losing 10k subscribers, contributing to the loss of 839k subscribers across all Nijisanji Channels over the past 10 days. That means there's possibility of NijiJP subscribers started to unsubscribe from their channels, a large chuck of which may know the JP Livers via EN Liver Collabs previously. To put it into context, the loss of subscribers across all NijiEN related channels stands at 410k subscribers as of Valentine's Day out of the overall 839k subscribers lost, and the numbers only cover Nijisanji subscriber counts alone.
They're trying to make Selen into a sacrifice and imo, possibly either insinuating or maybe even directly saying to the other livers, that they'll be next if they don't help out. The problem (for Niji) is that they're only making Selen into a martyr and making (or letting) other livers be the ones publicly building the pyre is only damaging the reputation of both the livers and themselves. What I just can't comprehend is how they thought any of this was a good idea. Only one party was pushed to their absolute breaking point, only one party has tried to make it clear they just want to move on and start anew and that party sure as Hell ain't Nijisanji and everyone knows it. It's as if they think we can't see them building their sacrificial pyre in the fucking town square.
Let the legal team sort this one out. Just let Doki know that we'll support her every step of the way, whatever it takes - but _her_ way. Don't allow Niji to accidentally dictate the narrative and pin this shit on outside actors (like us, the fans) or some bullshit. Blacklist and move on. The one thing that will get them is Doki being happy where she is now. Also I'm with Koe on the "we don't know what's going on with the Livers behind the scenes". For all we know there could be all kinds of pressure and gaslighting going on, to make them say any kind of things. Some may have even been tricked into genuinely believing that Doki is the "bad guy" in all this... Just leave them out for now. Stand against the company we know is shitty, not the individuals that we can't yet be 100% sure about. That will only risk punishing those who may be suffering like Doki did, or make martyrs of the ones responsible. It may take some time, but we'll learn the details eventually - other bad actors have gotten their comeuppance as well.
I have a feeling if she decided to fight back, the Doom music will kick in. She knows which closets have skeletons in them, and she has all the receipts.
The weirdest thing to me is that the way Niji has been with the termination letter and then the statement they had Elira, Vox, and Ike make. Like, as far as I know it's not normal for a Japanese company to smear an employee when they're firing them. And it's definitely not normal in West. So yeah I'm with you, it feels like someone has a grudge because it makes zero sense why Niji would not have just made a statement that they were terminating Selen's contract and move on. All this other crap is completely unnecessary an just makes them look bad.
streamlabs donations are more direct than superchats but almost all talents retweeted that shitty stream... I lost my respect towards them as not even livers, directly as people.
If you really care about them, look up their PLs and donate to the there if you can. Otherwise, there is no way you can currently support them without most of that money going to the yacht. Niji was set up with that specific profit flow in mind, there is no way around it. Your best hope is disengaging, finding temporary oshis somewhere else, and hoping you can help them once they get out.
@@juampisito Be careful about that. Japanese entertainment corporations have a strong hand in all parts of their "talent" and even their social media. This isn't the U.S. or West media. They may have been forced. Don't cast assumptions quite yet. Thx for the streamlabs recommendation.
Elira is in Japan on a work visa, so there might be pressure from that.. And yeah, we don't know their personal situations on why they ended up accepting becoming meatshields for their management. But Vox going out and saying that its everyones right to graduate whenever they want, and telling how much he loves the company.. He can never convince me to forget that and he will never have my trust.
Dude was always shady ASF, when you are willing to do such fked up content for everyone to see, usually what they hid in private is much, much worse (Rushia checks out as well). Think about, what other reason would Selen record this dude ? Clearly he was one of the bullies
Doki showed herself to be the better person here. I also feel her more and more with every day. The two attempts man... Good thing she is still with us, God bless her. Nijisanji digging themselves deeper & deeper with all of this.
If we do not keep talking about this until it’s over Nijikuro will win. The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. We must continue to speak up, and loudly so, for the good of the other livers, too.
yeah this is why activism is thing cause if a certain governing body is being corrupt, trampling the human rights, etc people should speak up for it for not just for the general public to be aware what is really the issue but hoping for the governing body to listen and see where did they messed up and hoping that they will make up for the damage they've done thats why we shouldn't be afraid to speak up and protest aslong as we are in the right here. sure they might win this but rest assured guilt will always hunt them and karma is on its way now
I feel like even if they did get their shit together, it's very unlikely to earn that trust again. Maybe for existing fans who still support them but for people like myself who got betrayed and lied upon it is very difficult. I will stand with my oshi dokibird. I'm not gonna lie that I do feel conflicted supporting the livers that I do like knowing that Nijisanji will take everything from them anyway. However, as the way things are I cannot trust anyone from Nijisanji anymore and prefer to neither support nor even watch anything from them. Like you said, this isn't really a drama anymore, as a matter of fact this has become a problem.
I dunno about a formal disbanding of EN, but I wouldn't be surprised if graduations became so prevalent and people became so hesitant to jump on that NijiEN ends up just being the clique: Enna and her two hangers-on, Luxiem and Noctyx. There's literally nothing for anyone else there. Telling how you compare this to how Holo handled Coco. Yagoo took the necessary actions to correct the problem, even severing Hololive from China, because he valued the talent and wants to protect them. Niji clearly doesn't care in this case.
Little bit extra. - Strike 1 @4:07 The art competition. Not only did Nijisanji not want to hand out prizes to the winners, or was the time for participating limited, but ALL art that would be submitted would be property of Nijisanji. AKA they could do with it what they want. So if Niji wanted to make merch, they could look for participated art, slap it on a t-shirt, mug, stand, lunckbox, etc and sell it for 30-40 bucks each, done on Niji's side, no compensation for the artist or recognition, nothing. Artist would had worked for free while Niji could leech off the other works that wouldn't had won. - Strike 2 @5:00 The events planning. This was originally a Fallguys tournament she organised to play with her viewers and she was basicly told last minute that she wasn't allowed to hold that tournament. - Strike 3 @ 5:35 Not only did Niji terminate her, not only did Management stealth suspend her and impersonate her, not only did Niji private her accounts so the dragoons can't find any more streams/tweets of Selen, not only did Niji use 3 to leak information too and use their cashcow talents as meatshields (which is disgusting). They called their losses negigible, like are you for real Nijisanji, how can a humanlife that was almost lost under your care be negligible. Now everything that happend afterwards was pure karma, with sponsors, investers, merch companies, artist, animators and more pulling out to the point that Niji lost almost 20% of their stocks worth in a week time. They also admitted by their own statements that there is bullying involved and threw Elira, Vox, Ike, Millie and Enna under the bus themselfs (while Selen was never going to reveal that), Nijisanji appearently also condones this kind of behaviour where people are getting bullied untill they try to make it stop by any means. Then you have the CEO himselfs suck up to the investors first and then vaguely surgest new systems (whatever they may be), not an apology to Selen first. The only ones I feel bad about are the other talents. Kyo graduated yesterday and that was entirely overshadowed by the drama that was going on. Scarle appearently didn't want to take any part of the drama and appearently got alot of sh*t for it, because she disappeared for 2 streams, luckily she was safe at a friend's house. Vivi and the others of the last wave (TTT) who joined only 5-6 months ago, during a time where Niji reputation was already very low, with Nina and Mysta leaving and the others on the ID side already planning on leaving as well, lost both her oshi (Pomu and Selen) within those 6 months she's there.
I am so glad you mentoned the western response and the japanese PR. I was actually wondering about the japanese mindset in regards to this situation. One of their idioms is the nail that stands up gets hammered down and the concept gamen: 'Keeping private affairs, problems and complaints silent demonstrates strength and politeness as others have seemingly larger problems as well.' Not to excuse Niji in the slightest but I wonder if they unconsciously misapplied their values to their EN branch not concieving of this situation blowing up as it did.
I didn’t really watch Niji before as when I got into the rabbit hole a few years ago it was Hololive and it takes up enough time to try and keep up with all of them lol. But I knew of Selen for sure and seen minimal clips and I will be watching and supporting Doki for sure
I feel bad for her genmates, Rosemi and Peto, they were the closest with Selen, I hope still are. And also for Victoria, since Pomu and Selen were her oshis
I have SO MUCH respect for Doki from this. Of course I already respected her a lot because of how much work she put into everything she did, absolutely one of the most dedicated talents in the industry. But she has handled this situation WAY better than anyone could have asked or expected of her, refusing to betray anyone and stay within professionalism until the very end, even when the company continoued to push her. There is not a lot of people I can say I genuinely respect, I am very careful and put way more weight on what it means for me to respect someone, you can count the people I would classify under that on one hand, but Doki has gone above and beyond
I respect the notion of not harassing or bullying anyone even if they are bullies themselves. That being said, the amount of coping and mental gymnastics people are willing to go through to ignore the possibility that their favorite Vtuber may not be a good person is wild. What makes y'all think these people are somehow exempt from regular human nature? In your workplace, if you picked 30 coworkers, can you really say none of them are a-holes? Of course some of them are a-holes. Of course cliques exist in any work environment. If anything, streamers that have anonymity are more likely to be jerks. Lord Aethel said by his approximation about 1/4th of streamers are vile people behind the mask, and I fully believe that. As far as I'm concerned, true colors were shown. I think people are being delusional thinking these livers absolutely must have been forced to do this against their wills. Time will tell. I believe at some point down the road the truth will come out and there will be no more cope to hide behind.
The main company failed their branches, the livers under that branch, and the people that support those livers under that branch. And I really hope the company sees that the top investors are never the main support in this type of business.
7:40 I actually seen stuff like that before. First there was that time that after the first season of Kemono Friends, Kadokawa fired director Tatsuki and got backslash, eventually had the voice actors make some statement and thus getting even more backslash. Secondly to a lesser extend it's also a little bit like when Konami fired Hideo Kojima and then just failed at video games afterwards and focused on pachinkos instead.
The difference between Hololive and Nijisanji is that Hololive feels like they want to improve and to make sure situations don’t happen again and their managers seem to have a good relationship with the member. Even if there are rules and they still want to do what’s best for the talent and help them achieve creating projects that the members want to make, they even let their past channels be active and do more things outside of Hololive. Hololive appreciating Holocure game and are happy to help fans make passion projects like Holocure. But Nijisanji seems to like they don’t learn from their past mistakes and things just keeps getting worse. I just want say during this shit show, Hololive, probably the biggest VTuber agency out there put out their yearly financial support and it showed that each of their members got a salary of 30k a month, completely independent of their merch sales, superchats, and other income. When the stakeholders asked the CEO, Motoaki “Yagoo” Tanigo, to be like Anycolor (Nijisanji) to make more money, he responded’ “We pay our talent what we believe they are worth, and will not lowering their pay.
Eh... There is a very high chance that those particular talents are the very scumbags who made Doki's life a living hell, so don't feel too badly about them getting their faces torn off for such a stupid move - they probably deserved it, ESPECIALLY Vox!
The Doki update tore into my heart, being driven to wanting to do that twice by these assholes and then them attacking her. This is why she wanted to keep it quiet behind the scenes because I want to get the pyres lit.
I've seen people bring up the costume design contest a few times without mentioning the biggest problem. When management initially put out the terms for the project it stated that any design entered would be owned by Anycolor regardless of whether it won.
Trying to stay within the confines of hololive as to not fall into another rabbit hole, Selen was the first and few of the talents I knew from Niji (and subbed to). I guess I'll just head over and sub on Dokibird's channel...
You're being far too kind to the three livers that participated in the video attempting to further slander someone who tried to end their own life, twice.
Glad you took the time to collect your thoughts. Very professional and mature when most people are responding emotionally and maybe not rationally. I hope Niji works on improving this or at least shuts up about it because we don't need public statements about these legal documents. Please PLEASE let everyone be quiet about this until it gets figured out or lands in actual courts
Quoting Nijisanji here, 5 days ago they decided to postpone the Mario kart event to "dedicate our full attention to prioritizing and ensuring the quality of our Livers' well-being." 3 days later, they literally threw some of said livers under the bus, again. It says a lot about how much they care about their talents, if anyone still had doubts.
10:17 Societies with an emphasis on the collective tend blame any mistakes on a sacrifice so that the collective can be absolved of responsibility. In terms of "Japanese PR" the people coming out and issuing apologies are usually the ones with their heads on the block. I would have expected them to either blame everything on Selen and leave it at that, or have some random middle manager dude come out and do the PR so that if they do end up needing to fire someone, they wouldn't lose anyone important. Throwing the talents out there for damage control is bizarre no matter how you look at it, unless you consider that the talents personally wanted to say something about it.
This isn't the first time a Japanese company did something like this. When Kadokawa fired Kemono Friends director for petty reasons and replaced him for season 2 it rightfully blew up in their faces. Then they forced the innocent voice actors to publicly apologize in their place. Like what? Is this a strat?
Not even just collectivist society, but it's the basis of corporate structure. When the company does something wrong, the company takes the hit and deflects however needed, and the people making the decisions are hidden behind figureheads. Of course, the figurehead is supposed to be Tazumi, not the talents, but apparently they are willing to pin all the blame on them.
I'm asian and very much in this collective mindset. But even the first announcement (that 3 page announcement) about other livers harrassing Selen is uncommon. We don't usually involve others, at least not in public. Damage control also means protecting everyone's face. Face is very important. Which baffles me when they had _three_ people talking about the controversy on stream. Public execution is insane, having three people publicly executing someone is even more insane.😢
I woke up today more angry than yesterday at this stunt, they know Selen tried to off herself not long ago and when she addressed the statement that was on Elira's channel you can tell the anxiety was going up, these mofo's are trying to do a run back and put her 6 feet under themselves.
8:12 that exactly what i mean, how in the right mind, when they see this documents and like "You what we can do, POST THIS CRAP TO THE PUBLIC TO MAKE OUR IMAGE BETTER, that solves the problem, right?" Did they have any education at all about Law and Morality?
Yes, but it's Japanese. It works as a JP Law and Morality. What they didn't study is the NSA document of" Mokusatsu: one word, two lesson". TLDR: Japan got nuked because they think their words are clear to USA.
The most bizarre part of all is how, a few hours after that awful hitpiece dropped, the CEO Riku Tazumi came out with a statement acting all apologetic about the situation. This was planned in advance, the hitpiece mentioned that Tazumi would release a statement afterwards. So we have the head of the company trying to calm the flames while his subordinates actively pour gasoline on them. Did Tazumi not check with branch management to make sure their statement would stay on message? Was he even aware they were going to make a statement? Has EN gone rogue? What the hell is going on with Anycolor's leadership? How was this allowed to happen? Was this just some kind of comically inept attempt to manipulate the fanbase? It boggles the mind.
Tazumi wasn't even SLIGHTLY apologetic about the situation, though... At least, not to anyone except his beloved shareholders and investors! That evil bastard would have happily filmed himself dancing on Doki's actual corpse if it would help him buy another damned yacht!
I'm relatively still new to the vtuber scene as a viewer and I just can't help but think about the talents and other bystanders/innocent employees that were caught in the crossfire. The EN branch essential silencing their talents or forcing them to be meat shields to save company face was absolutely one of the nuclear options. Having watched the Official Statement from Ellira's channel, whether it was made under duress or not, just made me feel so angry. As Koefficient said I want to give them the benefit of the doubt as the way they spoke vs their shaky tones just didn't match to me. Ultimately they not only shot their talents in the foot but also prevents them from possibly future work and trust, independent or otherwise. If there was more to this from their own perspective I fear that nobody would believe them as they 'defended' the company instead of their friend. Scorched Earth that kills not just the company but also their talent's future careers on the internet entirely.
People seem to forget that many of these talents can still be supported _outside_ the company, just like Doki. That's the best thing the fans can do imo. Go to their personal/indie content channels and sub/support there. Show the talents that they dont _have_ to be chained by the company and that they have possibilities as an indie. The "don't talk about the talent's indie content" rule should not even exist outside of official company channels, no matter which company.
I do agree with you, and not only that, but as a person that like you and many others has been in the community for 4 years, i feel just tired, I'm scared because of what can happen, like when the statement got released i was so afraid about another Doki attempt like "that's it, they took her out with this one", I'm scared about the other livers still chained to that company, i never even watched any of the current livers still in Niji, i only watched like Nina, Pomu and Mysta and sometimes Mika and Selen, but I'm still worried because knowing all the shady stuff that happens in Niji behind the scenes, they're humans, I'm afraid about the future of the community, especially the relationship between overseas fans and JP fans it will likely not be the same anymore and is one of the aspects I always loved about the community, I'm angry, I'm sick, I'm just done, man, i never usually comment, but i needed to get this off my chest. It's just too much to handle in a human sense.
RIP Nijibites. That was the place I go to, to see Pomu and Selen's diamond scene or Pomu and Selen's crab game scene. Who wants drama when all we wanted was to relax and watch our fave oshi clips.
You can respect Doki's wishes without forgiving. After what she's been through, 2 attempts on her life they still press on with the blame even though the evidence that they provide is so laughable and unimportant. Choosing to protect the corporation with no regard of human life goes beyond anything. They must be held accountable.
Hi Koe ! I pretty much agree with everything you said ! And I also want to add my own 'random guy on the internet' thoughts : So let's start with the " Livers having a 'choice' " : first the 'being able to choose to graduate' (also said by Vox which well mmmh) ... we saw that when Selen/Doki WANTED to graduate and therefore leave peacefully - they refused ( which kinda boggles my mind tbh, maybe I understood it wrong sry). But then you could think 'oh well they could just get terminated! same thing in the end right ?' but well... it still sucks no ? I mean this is their livelihood- and sometimes their only income- their job and obviously you don't want to lose a job ... true Doki is an example of (deserved) success following her but does that mean it will happen to everyone ? No ( even tho given the circumstances there is/was a high chance, at least before...). And this kinda brings me to my second point (can I call it that?): streaming and vtubing is a way to cope for the viewers and streamers ( maybe not always but eh ). Like we don't want to think about life and society or if we'll be able to eat tomorow : depressing stuff, blegh. We just want to have a good laugh and feel a bit of joy -at least that's how I see it. I always think of Elira ( this is from quite some time now so it might not be exact)... I remember her explaining that, before starting her Vtuber activites, she was always inside her home and couldn't get out, she was terrified of people but after starting streaming she got better ! And it's what makes people start Vtubing : try and get better, have *fun*. Also many of the Niji Livers were fans of Nijisanji before joining, in the beginning mostly JP, and as the branch got bigger ... fellow NijiEN fans got in. I think I can say that, for them, joining Nijisanji was like a dream come true. So seeing how it's going ... I can't even imagine the stress they're under. But in reality we don't know much and at the same time too much. The management messed up (to be polite) very badly (this is an understatement). It's just a very complicated situation .. one that gets uselessly more and more complicated at that.. All we can do - and SHOULD do- is follow Doki's wish : don't harass anyone, let's move on and go towards a happier future. PS: I'm sorry if I did any mistakes or/and didn't make sense ! English is not my first language and even in my mother tongue I tend to have a hard time expressing myself ;; Hopefully I didn't do too bad..
My anger isn't even about Doki anymore, it isn't about the termination or the bullying even. People are assholes, even grown ass adults. People don't know how far others have been pushed or their situation in life. It'd be wonderful if they tried more and didn't push in the first place, but people can suck that doesn't make them evil, just worthy of scorn and anger. No, the problem is the company that allowed this to happen because it was clearly in the know there was serious issues at hand and had been there for several months. If those issues were unfixable, they should have let her go / graduate/ end her contract. They should have done that and in a way that was as neutrally toned as possible. That'd have been 100% understandable even if it pissed people off. The fact that they puppet spoke on her account after the attempt? The fact that THEY revealed the bullying claim? the fact that THEY included their livers? The fact that they did all of this to publically disparage a suicidal ex employee? That's not just inept or greedy or short sighted. It's the kind of beige evil that destroys more lives then just the target... It's honking because a jumper on the bridge is making you late. it's hoping for someone to "get a high score" when they post how alone they feel...It is everything depraved in internet culture wielded by a faceless corporation at someone at their absolute lowest and most vulnerable. No, Niji can burn and so can any talents that openly defend it encouraged or not... Being evil isn't a crime, but it is unforgivable.
I too, am done with this whole situation. I only watched one Niji liver, that being Elira. I'm saddened that Elira got involved in all of this because I truly believe, still do believe, she is a good person down to the core. I hope Doki and all the other talents will be alright in the future. I'm also going to do my best to no longer look at anything dealing with this.
She literally just went out of her way to release a statement spending 5 solid minutes kicking Doki while she's down... Specifically timed to destroy the gaming stream Doki was SO excited to finally have... And brought two of her fellow assholes in to help with the kicking... And you consider the heartless bitch to be a GOOD PERSON?!? Unbelievable...
Nijisanji not only shot the first shot, but also the second, third, and more, missed all of them, and the bullets went on a ricochet adventure and hit them back, getting everyone that saw the bullet also angry and against them (for well, obvious reasons) "Losses will be negligible" trust me pal, lost not only money, but also trust, connections, and the possibility of "well, maybe it isn't that bad" or "nah, they probably know something we don't..."
Amigo como puedes caminar con los cojones que tienes!!! Thank you for always being a great voice in the community and speaking about this, its much appreciated.
The number one thing first and foremost is Doki was almost gone from us. That's really the only thing that matters. The fact Doki just wanted to move forward and Niji continued to fire shots at her speaks louder then any words to me. I love hearing her laugh from clips I watched of her, and will continue to do so with a smile on my face. Dragoons forever!
Dokibird didn't threw anyone under the bus, name drop or point finger to any niji liver, But nijisanji management did that themselves If this is how they treat their talents in public it makes you wonder how about behind the scenes
selen got in trouble for being a decent human being (wanting to pay for concept art) and for basically doing managers job because they wouldn't (getting the copyright ok for the song). then they try to run a smear campaign on her because she wanted to leave quickly.. i hope that corp crashes and burns and that Doki keeps on reaching higher and higher.
i just hope whatever the circumstances and reasons for what the trio did ends up being worth for them but i just cant support nijisanji anymore. i wish the best of luck to all of the talents that remain there and i do hope they will have patience to go through whats about to come
I know i only speak for myself, but i would quit before agreeing to speak on behalf of the company just to talk more sh*t about a former coworker and suposedly friend, moreover if said person was still recovering from that traumatic experience.
This video turned out a little more ranty than I wanted but it's hard for me to not get heated when talking about this situation sorry 🙏
I also didnt wanna go into super detail about the situation since there is already a ton of people that have gone over it, I just wanted to give my perspective as a long time vtuber fan.
Happy Valentines Day everyone ❤
Nah it well deserved . If your passionate about something happening its never bad to voice your opinion even if its a rant.
This is a rant-able topic.
We are latinos, bro
We get heated for everything
Excellent video
Honestly whatever ranty you got it was the right amount, its commendable you didnt went even higher. Thank you for your words.
(also I'm pretty sure you know and didnt want to add to the pyre, but the fact that the livers statement was released as Doki was starting her Neopets stream? What is even the fuck man...)
If anything, you weren’t ranty enough!
With Mumei and friends by her side I hope she pushes through and it ends in her victory
I think they just lack common sense, how exactly is this going to make people support them? Everything they do just make people support doki more and hate them more
The worse part is that it is working, it is scary how the viewers from JP side basically collectively stand with Niji because of the smear campaign.
Imma be real - this situation went beyond "vtuber drama". This has become "corporate mismanagement and incompetence almost cost an employee their life and now they try to save face by throwing the ex-employee under the bus."
Any drama, which involves death in any way, is already beyond a drama, but this ssss is vile!
Looks like Scarle is next
Imagine the waiting list rn, sheesh
I've been avoiding basically all Niji stuff out of protest. What's going on with Scarle?
I hope we have a rrat from 4chan giving us the Graduation/Termination Queue List.

Dragoons old and new rise so Doki can soar!
Battlecry and flag: jkterjter!!

Mad respect for her and I hope Doki gets the recognition and support she deserves!

Amen Brother. I love Rosemi but I cant watch Niji anymore.
Same. I will support them, when they're out of Nijisanji.
I get a sinking feeling in my stomach knowing that 50% or more of any support I give to a Niji talent goes to the company that did all that to Selen and continues to try and break her even now. I can't handle it. No more Niji for me.
Truth.
Disgusting. I'm so happy people didn't buy it and took Doki's side.
also for nijii to use elira and those three as potenital scapegoats, and to not broadcast the message from niji's own yt channel but again, effecitvely say ''you, liver, stream this message from us, but on your channel''
elira said she ''volunteered'' her channel to do it, if it's such a ''negligent'' thing why was it done using a liver acount and not a Niji's own, since it is coming FROM the company, not wholly from the livers.
it reeks of ''throwing meat to the wolves'' as if they think they can force everyone to do as they want with no repercussions, and all they've done is paint targets on their own liver's backs, rather than rightfully on their own
Worse, they are probably sacrificing their own reps because they company is making them.
How Elira, Vox and Ike gone about Selen shows a lot about their character.

@@duke_of_tako
To be an Japanese executive requires you to be a complete sociopath.
I used to wonder why Japanese company worker's sudoku rates are high. Now I think it starts to make sense.
Strike one bonus fact: Nijisanji wanted all contestants to sign over the IP rights to their submissions without paying them for it.
And they didn't even want to let Selen herself pay out the prizes. She had to fight with management just to pay them out of her own pocket!
Not just the winner, *all* of the contestants.
*not just the winner* ALL OF THE FUCKING CONTESTANTS.

They're hiring scapegoats, this time the perps may have been too valuable to completely throw under the bus so they used their chonkiest (in terms of fan base) talents to, in Asmond's words, "tank the raid boss while undergeared"
Those part time managers will come and go as disposable human shields.
Even better? Those "part time managers" are REQUIRED to be bilingual (Japanese/English) AND they're being paid the Tokyo minimum wage.

3. we all know that niji livers have to get permission for every goddamn sneeze they make, so who game them the permission to do this livestream and thought, "yeah, this is a really good idea!"
4. or even worse, if the livers were pressured into doing this, was this just niji's attempt to use the livers as a shield because only the livers' stream contained slander against doki, but the ceo's video didn't, so if this ever gets taken to japanese court for defamation (because niji is a japanese company, and no matter if doki is canadian or not, it was niji IN japan who acted out of line, see one of connor's recent clips for context on this), niji could just say, "yeah, but WE didn't say that, THEY did" like????????????? yeah, that'd surely make things better??????
honestly, judging by all the ways niji fucked up in the last week, the only possible outcome i can see here is that they realized that they've burried themselves in too much shit to be able to salvage the situation, so they'll try to get revenge on doki and ultimately abolish the EN branch while sacrificing a few of their livers and welcoming the loyal ones into the JP branch...
I think someone pointed out that Niji is using Japanese business practices...which don't really work for western audiences.
They're the company's most loved streamer and has a community that actively participates in everything they do, that's why the company get them involved. To try and "brainwash" the fans to thinking they were the ones in the right. You gotta use the most influential livers in your company to save face
They can't even use that excuse because the stream is titled "A Message from NIJISANJI EN."

Dokibird: I don’t even want to fight! Why do you keep shooting!?
Nijisanji: I don't know how to stop!!! *Every shot misses by a mile.
the missing shots are into their own foot tbf
@@ryan1000011 and the random bladed boomerang into the stomach
Shots ricochetting off the walls to hit themselves while Doki just stands there
Nijisanji : It's like pissing, have you tried to stop mid-stream ? And I still have a lot of piss.
I wish their was another way to give money directly to the talents because the company doesn't deserve a dime.
streamlabs donations are more direct than superchats but almost all talents retweeted that shitty stream... I lost my respect towards them as not even livers, directly as people.
They have them by the leash, no wonder they dont allow them to have other avenues using their voice, everything about them is now Nijisanji's property
@@juampisito You really think they all themselves retweeted it? Even when it’s been proven that management also has access to accounts?
Its a straight up lie as Doki said She tried to leave amicably for a Month...they held her as long as they could in Limbo till fans got her out 🫥🫥🫥
I won't say anything here but vox has a lot of scummy behavior in his past.
I don't think it was a hard decision for him to make.
We know they make close to nothing. Selen made ZERO profit in 2023, so it's not unbelievable that they'd be pressured by the company.
Even if they pressured elira to do this vox and ike had no reason to do this.
On the bright side it seems like doki isn't ment to leave us yet
If we do not keep talking about this until it’s over Nijikuro will win.
The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.
We must continue to speak up, and loudly so, for the good of the other livers, too.
yeah this is why activism is thing cause if a certain governing body is being corrupt, trampling the human rights, etc people should speak up for it for not just for the general public to be aware what is really the issue but hoping for the governing body to listen and see where did they messed up and hoping that they will make up for the damage they've done thats why we shouldn't be afraid to speak up and protest aslong as we are in the right here. sure they might win this but rest assured guilt will always hunt them and karma is on its way now
“Slap he on the wrist for that” is crazy that was a whole ass chancla they took and slapped her across the mouth with it
Dokibird at 531k! Keep it going!
Like you said, this isn't really a drama anymore, as a matter of fact this has become a problem.
you cant put spilled milk back in the carton.
Most the ones I did like have left already so good riddance to Niji
"We are one mogul mail away" is a weird but accurate way of describing this situation.
I just read Doki's new statement... 2 attempts... and this is how the company and their livers treats her. Freaking monsters.
I am so glad you mentoned the western response and the japanese PR. I was actually wondering about the japanese mindset in regards to this situation. One of their idioms is the nail that stands up gets hammered down and the concept gamen: 'Keeping private affairs, problems and complaints silent demonstrates strength and politeness as others have seemingly larger problems as well.'
Not to excuse Niji in the slightest but I wonder if they unconsciously misapplied their values to their EN branch not concieving of this situation blowing up as it did.
Agencies bum me out cuz they make it so people like me never have a real chance then when I hear these kinda stories it scares me from even trying.
First there was that time that after the first season of Kemono Friends, Kadokawa fired director Tatsuki and got backslash,
eventually had the voice actors make some statement and thus getting even more backslash.
To have their own talents do it is genuinely insane. Actual human shields.
I cant help but look at koe beard
Beard?
That mustache stands out more!
You know what? I'm gonna like this comment simply because it made me feel better. Thanks.
SHE JUST WANTED TO PLAY NEOPETS
10:17
Societies with an emphasis on the collective tend blame any mistakes on a sacrifice so that the collective can be absolved of responsibility.
8:12 that exactly what i mean, how in the right mind, when they see this documents and like "You what we can do, POST THIS CRAP TO THE PUBLIC TO MAKE OUR IMAGE BETTER, that solves the problem, right?"
Did they have any education at all about Law and Morality?
That evil bastard would have happily filmed himself dancing on Doki's actual corpse if it would help him buy another damned yacht!
bruh. look at the guy's face. He looks angry, not remorseful
Just found out she made another post while watching this video. From the bottom of my heart, genuinely fuck this company.
And I also want to add my own 'random guy on the internet' thoughts :
So let's start with the " Livers having a 'choice' " : first the 'being able to choose to graduate' (also said by Vox which well mmmh) ... we saw that when Selen/Doki WANTED to graduate and therefore leave peacefully - they refused ( which kinda boggles my mind tbh, maybe I understood it wrong sry).
It would be the end of the world if suddenly Niji management admit their mistake instead of double down on attacking Doki
“Uh, how are we gonna get out of here?”
“We’ll dig our way out!”
…
“No no, dig *up* stupid.”
Nijisanji not only shot the first shot, but also the second, third, and more, missed all of them, and the bullets went on a ricochet adventure and hit them back, getting everyone that saw the bullet also angry and against them (for well, obvious reasons)
"Losses will be negligible" trust me pal, lost not only money, but also trust, connections, and the possibility of "well, maybe it isn't that bad" or "nah, they probably know something we don't..."
Last time I was this early Koefficient still got a big -boi- beard.
A side note
I love his Burly mustache
Makes him look like a Puerto Rican uncle and that's great
He really does look like Oompaville now
Pablo Escobar
Amigo como puedes caminar con los cojones que tienes!!! Thank you for always being a great voice in the community and speaking about this, its much appreciated.
Please show Dokibird some love 💛
The number one thing first and foremost is Doki was almost gone from us. That's really the only thing that matters. The fact Doki just wanted to move forward and Niji continued to fire shots at her speaks louder then any words to me. I love hearing her laugh from clips I watched of her, and will continue to do so with a smile on my face. Dragoons forever!
Dokibird didn't threw anyone under the bus, name drop or point finger to any niji liver,
But nijisanji management did that themselves
If this is how they treat their talents in public it makes you wonder how about behind the scenes
selen got in trouble for being a decent human being (wanting to pay for concept art) and for basically doing managers job because they wouldn't (getting the copyright ok for the song). then they try to run a smear campaign on her because she wanted to leave quickly.. i hope that corp crashes and burns and that Doki keeps on reaching higher and higher.
i just hope whatever the circumstances and reasons for what the trio did ends up being worth for them but i just cant support nijisanji anymore. i wish the best of luck to all of the talents that remain there and i do hope they will have patience to go through whats about to come
I know i only speak for myself, but i would quit before agreeing to speak on behalf of the company just to talk more sh*t about a former coworker and suposedly friend, moreover if said person was still recovering from that traumatic experience.
4 horseman comin for ya. Helye...!!!!
