    One thing everyone should pay attention to is if you really need to improve an artifact past a certain threshold. Take the kolobok, for example: when between 1% and 50% condition, it will give you +1 healing and have diminished negative effects (the negative effects also grow along the general condition). When at 51%, it will give you +2 healing (the maximum) while having only 51% of the detrimental effects' values.
    If you can find a Soul at 1% condition, it is ideal because it will have +1 healing and almost no detrimental effects.
    Think about what you want from each artefact and what is the ideal condition for it.

    fun fact: in soc if you have 4 or 5 battery artifacts then if you go into an Electro anomaly the anomaly will repair your armor. this only works in soc as it is an easter egg

      You can do the same with flame anomalies and artifacts that protect against those.

    Hey, just a quick point : you can find the melter in stashes.. I know it because I found mine in a stash in great swamps iirc, while I was looking for basic tools to craft the advanced

      @@thechucanator guess we'll see.. Maybe they'll eventually make a pack with what they like and call it done.
      I hope stalker 2 is going to be at least as moddable as the other games.. mods are literally the only reason stalker is still a thing today, let's hope the devs haven't forgotten that

    Proper artifact hunt starts after brain scorcher once you will be able to get expert tools. U can craft veles 2 and upgrade sciencist suit. Belt attachments help a lot. By the way try to take a little trip in to red forrest. Its beautifull at night. Good hunting stalkers.

    You can get unlimited amout of artifacts if you do the lottery in the merc camp.
    If you trade in 15 Identical Patches from any faction you can get a set of 3 active artifacts in a led containers. As well as a bunch of other stuff.
    I got crafting materials, ammo, grenades etc aswell. I don't know the full loot table tho.

      *Aghem I am working "very hard" for getting those patches.
      Jokes aside.
      You can participate in the lottery even if you are an enemy of the mercs. Just make sure that you have a very good condition armor so you can conseal youself. (ecologist armors are op for that)

      @@thechucanator I was thinking about trying out Monolith aswell.
      I know that they are immune to emissions as well as psy storms.
      But i wonder, can they disguise themselfs? (Becouse we can't do that in the othe4 way)

    Any idea how to use the "Bat" Artefact? I got it from the mercs and it says that artefact can mutate and improve other artefacts but I can't figure out how to use it.

      I'm looking for info on the same, did you find anything out? If not you can atleast right click on any non-unique artifact to transmutate it, but that seems to only turn it into a different artefact in the same tier

    I've set emission and psi storm to lowest setting, focused on contracts most time. Clearing out later maps from artifacts - the northern part (Zaton and Jupiter) took hours to clear from all thosea arts.
    I love art hunting in Stalker series - in Gamma it was both amazing and exhausting. It was worth it - with average armor (Mercenary ACE) you can get almost complete immunity to anything with 95%+ arts on your belt.

    An amazing anomalous zone is the electro one over at the loner base in Agroprom, its actually an electro / psy anomaly, but with decent psy protection you can easily go in. Ive gotten tier 2 artifacts such as Flash.

      It's actually a nightmare if you don't have superb protection, as you need to simultaneously do it quickly and carefully

    So... seems like someone screwed up the Bat artefact? To my understanding it's meant to be able to upgrade artefacts to their next tier version.
    It can't. It just seems to randomly transmutate them. wtf????

      Yeah I never really messed with it too much because I just crafted good artefacts and rolled with it. Also my game was crashing close to getting everything to craft it.

    Whenever I open the craft menu the artefact sections doesn't appear at all, Idk if it's just my game or an update from Gamma screwed it because I just recently installed the Gamma.

      It could be an update/mod config issue. You do need the Smelter from Sacarov to craft them though. But I suggest if you already have the smelter you should message in the GAMMA Discord to see if they have a fix. They are VERY responsive.

    lol i never would of guessed u had to drag drop the melter onto the artifacts to empower them. i feel like there are 20 different little things like this in the game that if u miss them you can really hobble the progression in the game.. but i guess things like this happen when u tape together 400 mods.. i hope stalker 2 was HEAVILY influenced by the open world mods like anomaly and they smooth out the rough edges

      The mod literally tells you to do that in a tooltip when you hover over the melter tho. Sure, there's a lot of stuff that the game doesn't tell you, but there is a lot of stuff that it does tell you, and very clearly at that, but people just cant be bothered to read.

    The flame anomaly still scares the shit outta me only cause they are so hard to tell with out throwables where they are, you could be sure your walking around it then boom a flame cooks your balls

      So actually as far as I can tell it changes based off what you’re wearing/level. It’s changed constantly for me.

      Start with shadow of Chernobyl and go from there if you want to play through all the story. but if you look up “Stalker Anomaly” you can download it for free. It’s a fully built mod/engine off the older call of Pripyat. But with some QOL improvements and it has a story line but builds off the previous games

      You actually find them pretty averagely on NPC as loot. I have found multiple from bodies!

      You will have to equip it to a slot then usually it is the 5/6 key.

      Honestly took a LOT of time of from GAMMA but I will be working on that this month once I get a bit further in my current playthrough. My past Save I did all my guides with is no longer able to be used with all the updates made. But planning on it soon along with some other new guides!

    Are there any way to profit off of them other than bringing them to quest givers? Is there anybody who could simply buy the artefacts?

      Yeah I have a traders guide going up this weekend to go over who gives the most roubles for each item type and etc. But for sure Sakharov in Yantar gives the most for artefacts. I’m pretty sure his scientists in Jupiter give around the same amount as well. Can’t confirm as I haven’t sold them any yet as I’m stacking them atm. But use Sakharov.

    How do you stack artefacts? Wearing an exo suit with 5 slots

      So you would just need to put them in the belt protection containers if needed for radiation but you just right click and select “equip/attach to belt” for artefacts and equipment and it will apply it to belt. It’s odd for some reason you can’t just drag and drop.

    DUDE I have so many hours in the classic stalker and mods, never knew you could shoot the artifact to move it! You legend👍
    Edit: one tip I saw was to just buy spare melters at 15k rather than use artifacts to recharge it👍

      If you talk with random stalkers and ask them about anomalies they will tell you eventually that shooting artifacts doesn't damage them

    I have a question about the Artifact Hunter Main Quest if you know or anyone in the comments. I am at the ones in Pripyat, but I am not sure if it is bugged for me because I am able to get the artefact in the Olympic park but the root rot anomaly (electric anomaly by the hotel) one doesn't want to spawn. I get other artefacts there but the quest one won't appear. Am I missing something?

      Sadly some of these are super bugged. You can try check other anomalies in the area but there’s not much of a fix for this. I had this issue for a bit with previous quests in this line.

      Having this issue as well.
      I must have gathered at least 5 other artifacts in the time I spent here.
      Not only is the damn thing not spawning, the area here is close to an enemy spawn point. Saw at least one enemy spawn right in front of me at the truck near the underground parking entrance. Have my Exclusion Radius set to 75. ???
      But anyway, I finally "flipped the table" on this item and left Pripyat in hopes that coming back later will spawn the quest artifact.

      I know this is a year old, but if it helps anyone. The artifact is beyond the building south of the holtel. In another elecro anomaly though a cracked door. So basically head south past the first anomaly behind the next building. I went through the underground parking garage.

    Something is dodgy in my game. I don't get the option to make them in containers.

      They did update how things work in GAMMA 0.9 with some features. But the Container I am using is a placeable workbench so it accesses the kits/smelter inside. As far as I know I have to have the smelter in my inventory or inside a placeable workbench to use it. Apparently you can even use toolkits and such anywhere.

      @@thechucanator I was using the placeable workbench too... Makes no difference. Either way I can't use artefacts in containers. So you get irradiated by them. Due to an interesting bug it seems you also get irradiated by EVERY ARTEFACT IN THE CONTAINER when you use the workbench.
      So to get rid of this stupidity I turned on the options that essentially turn off the radiation when using the workbench and also make the lead lined containers block radiation even when the artefacts are not inside them.
      Now the only problem is how crap artefacts are. Except those few good ones.

      well anomaly is technically a sequel or continuation of the original 3 games, so none of it is really canon to anything in the series. I think the scientists could've easily developed a device like this given how long its been since the original games lol

      Yes and you can even set them to unlimited in the settings. I’m pretty sure it’s set to 5/6 key to pull them out

    can you recomment which artifact is should using? i just start playing gamma and don't know a lot of thing. right now i using stone flower because it give a lot of psy and only downside is burn resist. also which artifact i should aiming for?

      So I would say this is more based off your needs.
      If you want to hunt anomalies with more ease and not taking chemical/flame/electric damage then the 'Volat Emerald'.
      If you plan to go fight psy-mutants then you could also go with the 'Black Spray'.
      For really high electric reduction try a 'Flash'.
      If you want to run forever and no lose stam then you could use the 'Snowflake'.
      If you want to heal passively at the cost of stam regen you can use a 'Firefly' (you can use a stam regen arte to help with the stam regen).
      For fighting monolith or any other human enemy with bullets you can use a 'Compass' just be aware you will have a bleed debuff so you could pair it with something that stops bleeding.
      A 'Full Empty' is good for combat as well it'll just cost you around a 1/3 of your stam regen.
      As far as me personally I Pair 'Heart of Oasis' / 'Volat Emerald' / 'Compass' as they counter eachothers effects while still leaving you with some resistance bonuses, health regen, bleeding control, and stam regen with all negative effects nulled by eachother aside from radiation.

      imo the best end game build is a nosorog suit which allows up to 4 equipped artifacts, which i tend to fill with a compass, a heart of the oasis & 2 volat emeralds, giving total element immunity, solid radiation & combat resists whilst giving passive bleed/health regen + extra stamina, so artifacts that go towards that set i tend to hold onto/empower to use early game & anything else can be used to recharge your melter or even for quests

      i think original artifact that you need to repair/melt for it to reach 100% won't degrade when use. the one that degrade is mod artifact that give no debuff but have to find new one when it gone.

      This May be the Case. I've been using the Skat 9 atm so it has no slot for artefacts until upgraded but ill do some testing this week. I KNOW that the ones without debuffs that give random effects degrade. Ill have to check on others. I'm slowly crafting a 90-100% high tier so its a grind.

      @@mbill6954 the "trash" tier 1 artifacts deplete during use, all the higher tiers (that irradiate you) do not deplete from any use, their % purely accounts for their effectiveness (how much resists/buffs they give)

      I got red forest yantar and zaton maps and Im like bruh this are so useless I know were all the areas are but they are very useful if you don't know. Plus they save so i keep one in my inventory so im not carrying 10

    i wish the lowest tier detector could detect ALL artifacts, because i like the "hotter / colder" detecting much better than the ones that show an arrow that points you right at the artifact :/

      Yeah I can definitely understand the appeal and the highest tier one even shows all the Anomalies on it as well.
