- Aventon has a new e-bike called the Aventure. The bike features an outstanding 750w motor with a peak output of 1130 watts, making the bike the fastest ebike I believe I've ridden. Aventon is known for making quality products and this bike is no exception. This is Part 1 of 2 videos on this bike. In the next video I'll look at the iOS/Android app that adds even more to the user experience as well as cover more range tests.
Comment below with your thoughts on this bike and if you own an Aventon.

Aventon sent a bike to use for this video, but this video is NOT sponsored. The content is my own opinions based on my experience with the product(s.) I do not allow pre-approval or scripting of my reviews. Развлечения
I’ve had mine for two weeks ,been riding it back and forth to work a8-10 mile round trip depending on the route.it’s got a few good hill and I use 34and 5 pedal assist, been getting around 35-40 miles a charge,I’m a big guy so I’m thinking that’s not bad .I love this bike,my truck hasn’t moved in two weeks!
This bike has been attracting a lot of my attention. Aventon makes great bikes. I love how they are carried by local bike shops.
I have just bought one and they are ridiculously fun to ride. I managed 15 miles on my first ride, first in over 35 years. loving my E bike.
Congrats!
Love the amount of uploads you've been doing. Keep up the good work.
Been waiting for part 2. Thank you!
Love the bike. I bought it because I needed to extend my transportation radius for the next year or so. But not only is it doing great for my transportation needs, I often find myself jumping on it to go on a quick ride just for fun. Like the guy says in this video, it has incredible power for an e bike and turns all the hills around here into nothing. I maintain a speed of over 20mph on most hills which is crazy. I mean some of these hills are multiple miles long and the bike never really struggles at any point on the hill. Its great to be able to get around like that on a bike. Not a scooter or a moped, an actual electric battery bike. Definitely worth the price to me to have all the upgraded things on this bike that other bikes in the 1-2 thousand dollar price range don't have. For example, the tail light built into the frame. The battery hidden in the frame and not just mounted to it, not being able to see a big ol battery mounted on the bike is worth it alone in my mind. The whites are neat and run through the bike also. The bafang motor just hums too, it sounds great. Upgraded hydraulic brakes are many times better than the mechanical cable pull brakes, especially if your older and have any arthritis or joint pain in your hands. Full color display is more enjoyable to look at than black and white too. And everyone usually buys an after market seat for there bike but I have gone on rides lasting hours and the seat is very comfortable, trust me, I have no butt and every seat Ive ever been on is uncomfortable after a very short time. Im sure im missing a few things also but you get the picture.
I love my Aventure, I always attract a lot of attention, people want to know, how fast does it go, what’s the battery life and how much does it cost, I really enjoy talking about it 😊. It’s an awesome bike. No regrets with my purchase.
Just bought mine assembled from a bike store a couple of days ago. FANTASTIC!!! Same dark forest green color and 750 watts of pure performance, which I’ve max’d-out through the smart phone app! I swapped the seat out for a Cloud9 saddle. Got the small frame which fits me fine. I was unaware that these 26” fat tire e-bikes come in different frame sizes. When I bought my first beach cruiser fat tire e-bike (another brand) it was a 26” large framed e-bike. I would almost fall off the thing trying to dismount. It’s only 2 months old in near new condition. I will be selling that one.
It's good to see that Aventon finally includes integrated front and rear lights.
I like your review standards...and the keys hanging on the cables is adorable.😊
WOW i love it thank for a great review --I LOVE IT ...thank you Kev.
I love my Aventon Aventure step thru in the Red and cream. Super awesome bike I highly recommend. Cannot find a better ebike under 2K. I ride on pedal assist 1 or 0 and am at 93% and have ridden over 22 miles. Hope to get some ride time in this weekend! Happy 4th everyone! Stay safe and God bless.
You weren't kidding when you said there was content on the way. Not super keen on the color alongside the chamfered lines, but the rest of the bike is pure electric bliss. You keep introducing me to more and more bikes that I'd love to own.
Love my Aventon Sinch! First 500 miles were trouble free. So much fun.
I ordered the same one yesterday 8/17/21. I have had a RadRover 5 for over a year now and love it. This bike has so much more to offer than what I have. I can`t wait to check it out !
Great video and I love the content. Looking hard at this bike. Thanks.
So far it’s been great!
That thing looks sick. And I already love aventon
This bike looks great. Thanks for the review. Love my Aventon Pace 500. Aventon just flat out gives you terrific bang for your buck. Enthusiastic 2 thumbs up. 👍👍
One word WOW that is the most awesome ebike love it👍👍
Great review... Just picked up 2 Aventure bikes one small and one large for my son. So again just brought them home this evening so can't wait to get out there on the first ride. Really love this bike so far. And the sizing is really nice there is about 3+ inches in the lowest seat height. Thanks again for the review.. Dave...
I've been waiting for this video!!! I was thinking of getting one to replace my Prius for around town and gym trips
It’s a big and heavy bike, but absolutely amazing!
Received my Camo Green Step through Aventure a week ago and after a couple test rides it is very powerful! For a step through it is extremely comfortable and very responsive. I am looking forward to a long ride through some desert trails. I love my Aventure!
I just got the latest Sinch bike. It’s also got the new throttle on demand. No more half pedal to start. Right off the line power.
That's a great bike, it might be my next one.
My fat tire Ebike I got for off road so it has full suspension, but the same motor and battery power as this bike. Very impressed with this bike. Great commuter with some off-road capability. Excellent build quality as well.
I want one! Thanks for the review!!
thanks for the content :)
That bike is gorgeous! 😍
Ordered my Adventure last week should see it in about a month. Can’t wait!
Congrats!
Beautiful Ebike... I would love this one myself.
Great Video I have the lectric XP 1.0 but I really like this bike also….keep up the good work….exceptional
Looks better than my radrover 5. I like how they integrated the battery
Bought one. LOVE it.
These bikes just keep getting better, and this is one if those bike that gets you thinking about all the things you could do with it.
Best bang for your buck bike, period.
I love my Aventure. Just took it out recently to look at an avalanche on a trail. They ahd gates closed, snow all over off the trail... a regular slim tire bike wouldn't have made it... Thsi thing didn't even hesitate.
I bought two. Love them both. I crave going for rides in the spring/summer/fall.
We have two Levels one Soltera and expecting delivery of our newly purchased Aventure. Can’t wait to play around on it. Red step-though M/L. Great review!
Just ordered my Aventure, I can't wait to get it. Delivery is slated for mid August. Great review!!
Thanks, and congrats!
As someone who spends a lot of time in nature preserves taking pictures of wildlife this would make getting around the trails so much nicer
A word of advice if you’re riding out in the bush put a playing card on your spoke because you run up on a big foot he gets pretty pissed touching him off guard. 😳🤟
You can't -most trails won't let you ride an E bike
@@Bobcatspiritdude you can but the stricter ones you can’t have a twist throttle and 250 watt only or 500 some and has to have peddles. I go any where fake wattage decals and fake pedals. 🥳
@@Bobcatspiritdude At least in Colorado, as well as National Parks, Class 1 (and usually Class 2 as well) ebikes are legal.
@@Bobcatspiritdude In Florida Ebikes are legal anywhere a normal bicycle is legal. State Law. An advantage of having Republicans in control. No permits or licences required.
Easy cleanup , came as described fast. Great product
Man these videos are perfect to watch while eating food
Ha!
THANKS Kev! That is a very impressive ebike. I have come across an ebike that is blowing by with me in a truck at 35 mph. I'll try to find out the brand. I may just have to follow them unit they stop. Too much traffic every time I see them
Wow awesome 😎
That looks like a great e bike impressive
Very cool. I currently have my eye on a Giant Fathom 2. Not ready for E bike just yet 😀
I bought one in June and I'm still waiting for it at the end of July. Their website says that it will ship on August 9th but they've had many dates they've missed before so I have little confidence. I agree it's a great bike but when will I ever get to ride it? Come on Aventon, ship these things to your customers!
I've been waiting for my bike and I missed one ship date, check over your bike for components that were substituted. Lower quality components!
I’ve had the aventure a month now I have 320 miles on it it’s my first E bike and I don’t think I could’ve made any better of a decision. Thing does anything I want goes anywhere, it will get me up any hill It can get up to crazy high speeds really surprised me amazing bike highly recommended I tell everyone to get one already.
Thanks for sharing. Coincidental timing as I had literally just unplugged the Aventure battery from the charger right before I received this comment notification.
Looks super nice I like it
I loved the review great work like always I have the level is this worth the upgrade
I need this bike,it fits everything I'm looking for in a good E-Bike 👍
Nice bike! I would buy some sort of new bike but I owe money for my Siskiu and I'm saving up for a *motorcycle(not a MTB ik)*, but if I buy one for a friend, I would get one based off your videos!!
I have the level 2 couldn’t be happier
This is the Rad Rover Killer....Nice bike.
Epic, I need that
This is a nice, well thought out E-Bike! I haven't commented much on your pervious videos Kev, because there're all good, as usual! I'm a sucker for small details, so I like this bike even though I'm not getting another bike -E-bike or otherwise- anytime soon. Keep the good work up!
I'm wondering if you could perhaps do a comparison video on budget 1x (under $170 for the group set not including stuff like the chainring and crankset) drive trains. Advent vs. Advent X ect.
Also, do you have any experience with the Rock Shox Judy 27.5 100mm or 120mm air fork?
Thanks
I got my hands on a Ride1Up 500 and it's great after you dial up the computer a little bit. 750w max, 500 nominal. I'm so happy I finally got an e-bike. The Aventons are comparable, I think they use the same manufacturer for their frames. I can get 28pmh on throttle now after I adjusted the computer. This one looks like the Ride1Up 700, so it looks like fun.
I'd like to add a not here, I have gotten (according to my display) around 820w of power as I climb hills on max PAS So the 750w advertised power might be off a bit. I'm not very experienced with e-bikes a lot but I do know my controller can handle up to 1000w, Not sure if that has any bearing. Let me know if you know. :) keep up the vids, Kev.
Oooh! I think i love this. I'd have to charge it during work hours, but i think that would suffice.
Looks good
nice bike and that noise was brilliant when cycled past, d.i.y solar maybe under the helmet lol.
I saw some ebikes when I was at cabelas the other week and they looked pretty similar as far as frame design and spec although most had sram drivetrains and mechanical brakes
Check another stylish design with strong power called MAGICYCLE BIKE
Looks fancy
Looks good in the review, You do a great job. Thank you.
I guess I'm not impressed. I have a Juiced Rip Current S. I paid $2000 and have a 19.2 amp hour battery with a rack included. Yep, not just cadence sensor and a torque sensor too. I forgot better shocks. 28 mph, not a problem. Thank You Always enjoy the videos!
This bike could take on Canadian winters. Wow. That shape of the bike and everything is beautiful.
Edit: Honestly I think this the best looking E-bike . I love the sweeping tubes, and everything about this bike is just quality. Not into E-bikes but I’d definitely buy this one.
I found another stylish design with strong power called MAGICYCLE BIKE
Got mine up to 33 mph down a straight away. Blew past everybody on bikes and ebikes. Lots of turnt heads. Always get compliments on my camo green😄 had it 3 days and already have 137miles on it. Top speed sits at 36 mph with a slight downhill grade
The video makes it look small. I just got mine at its looks like a 125 cc dirt bike size wise. I'm 5' 7" 200 lbs and I like the M/L size age 61. Easy to put together. also plenty of videos if you need them too.
Have a red step-through Aventure. Really like the power, body style and seat. It's heavy but ride is smooth. Bike is great, but it came w/ a broken fender stay and Aventon won't answer their phone and no response from warranty claim and customer service email follow up attempts. Got an automated email that they are inundated but am pretty unhappy at the moment w/ level of service from company for $2000 item.
if unhappy credit card company will take your issues
Have you tried to make use of their live chat resource? I've used it twice and they were very helpful.
Live chat they helped me instantly 👏
I was thing about getting this or the Lectric XPremium since we are taking these traveling with our RV, the XPremium can fold, but this bike would have more power.
this is the 3rd KC video I have seen...I’m liking this channel and after 3 home runs, I gotta sub up.
Great job Sir
Welcome! Thanks for being here
I am tempted to sell my wimpy folder and get one of these instead, checks off all the right buttons for me.
It's the best value bike on the market
We bought 3. Love them. Very fast EXTREMELY well made. Very tight no noise
WOWW UR RICH. it’s gonna take me a month of saving my paychecks to get this :((
Not rich. Been saving for a long time. My brother bought one of the 3. Still love them. I think its getting stronger. I rode a rad alot. Waaaay more power. Way more
Beautiful bike. Would love to stick a nicer fork on something like this and use it as a commuter. Sadly, the strong fork is needed locally since the road and sidewalks are all jankier than the rooty trails.
Oh I like it
I bought a no-name one or a name no one knows I got 50 miles out of it off of eBay components are not bad but the controller is a piece of crap I upgraded to a sine wave converter still trying to figure out the wires.
I paid 1399 so this is a namebrand bike in a 15 amp battery it’s a good deal.
Great RANGE
there is a local store by me that sells and service these bikes (same price as Aventons web page price)....the only Ebike you should buy!!!!
Aventon is building a really good network, IMO
Awesome bike/rocket ship
I would be interested in knowing if their geo numbers listed on the website are correct. All 3 sizes show the same top tube, reach, head tube, and wheelbase numbers. They don't provide a seat tube measurement, but based on the stated numbers, you could achieve the same effect as their sized frames with just a different length seatpost. I'd be a bit disappointed by an otherwise impressive bike if all they did for their sized framed was alter the seat tube length, but ot makes me wonder if they did that to make it easier to manfacture a frame with an integrated downtube battery.
I bought both the S/M and the M/L Aventure step through. The main difference in those frames is the 3” seat post height difference as you point out. But, the rear frame triangle geometry is different too, to optimally accommodate the different seat post height. The Aventon rear racks are different sized to match and reflect the different rear triangle geometry. And on the two step through frame sizes the stem offset members are two different lengths to better suit the riders size and arm length. The rest of the frame geometry (wheelbase, wheel size, pedal crank length, seat post angle, steering tube and spacers, fork, handlebar) is kept consistent so as to produce the same handling experience between frame options. And as you point out, the down tube is the same across frame sizes - likely to allow battery interchangeability. These subtle differences in frames do accommodate a wider range of rider sizes (arm, torso height, and leg length mainly). By the way, even though my body fits in the middle of the height range listed for the M/L frame, the S/M frame, with its 3” shorter seat post, could allow me better options to install a suspension seat post or a dropper seat. Keep that in mind when choosing a frame size too.
ordered my new aventon!! I would love a tips and tricks with the adventure maybe how to lock it up, longevity all that!
Congrats!
@@KevCentral thanks so much cant wait to join the cool kids table
I’ve actually had cars and motorcycles not pass me while going 30-32 mph down long stretches of road just so they can meet me at the lights and ask “What the heck are you riding?!” It’s a lot of fun.
Love your reviews, Kevin! Always look forward to them.
I get that too on certain eBikes
I’m jealous you have this bike. It’s beautiful and it’s just pure quality!
Haven't seen a part 2 for this bike but very interested in picking one up.
Going to sell my Escooter
Exactly, where is Part 2?
It would be nice if it had a crank set motor because it would be nice and clean
Will the tires truly wear out quickly if used as a commuter as others claim?
Imagine the speed and range it would have with skinny tires.
Did they finally fix the issue in their previous models where pas1 jolts you to 12mph
Looks good, but would love to see a mid drive 750w
It was running away from a 1000w mid drive
Kev, what’s the trail name? We like to take trips and ride new trails. We have ridden the old part of the CLT. I believe that they have added a new section back towards Anniston since we rode it. Thanks for the great content.
That’s the TVA trail in Muscle Shoals, Alabama
FYI, I own 3 Aventon adventures. 2 m/s and 1 m/l. If anyone has any questions I will try to answer them..Love the large but I have found 2 concerns with the s/m. The 2 s/m's get way too many peddle strikes. Take a turn and the peddle strike can knock you off the bike. Kev, would love to know if you get any pedal strikes and also about the gearing on 1st and 2nd gears on your motor..
My motor on both the small/ med frame bikes the gears extremely too low.
Can't peddle in gears 1 & 2 because of balances use. You go too slow.
Another concern of mine is they subbed the derailleur and brakes on the small/med. My small/med came with m40 derailler/ sunrrace with Zoom breaks, not the bangles and acera derailer. You can tell the difference because of my Large frame bike has the bangle brakes and Shimano derailer. The M40 does not shift as good.
I don't know how far down on quality is the m40 over the acera but there is a difference.
Hey there. What do you think is the throttle only max range for the Aventure? Thanks.
Pt 2 talks about pedal strikes. I touched on it in my first Aventon eBike review as well. Regarding balance at low gear speeds - I haven’t had any issues there. I find the bike easy to ride, actually easy-R as the fat tires add to low speed stability. Regarding the SunRace products. There is a component shortage industry wide right now, so expect substitutions to be possible on just about every brand. In some cases I’ve found the subs to be a good thing…like the Microshift shifters in some Schwinn bikes.
@@DatingPolitics guessing but full throttle maybe 22 MI
I don't think the battery and the distance should be a concern on these bikes.
The motor is probably a little too strong and the battery in my opinion great distance and I do not find myself wishing I had a bigger battery at least not now
I don’t think you’ll get close to 22 miles out of throttle-only riding unless you’re in a completely flat area. That said, the bike has amazing range for me to be able to get 18.5 miles at max pedal assist/throttle on my hilly terrain.
Gorgeous bike. Install torque sensors and I’d buy.
What size controller does it come with.
Man I’m ready to sell off my Specialized Turbo Vado for one!
Great video! Could you please make a review on MAGICYCLE BIKE that is new released in the US market, the design looks stylish and specs are similar as Aventon?
I’m not familiar with that brand
are the fenders easily removable? not a fan, but the rest looks really nice and dig the color
Yes. They don’t come installed and have to be bolted on. And yep. It’s a looker for sire
Stupid question, do ebike regen on down hill or can you recharge by pedaling?
Hello nice video
I was wondering how do you unlock it , i just bought one yesterday and it won’t go over 21 miles per hour , how do you get 31 mph ???
Did you ever make part 2 I can’t find it
Unlocks via the app
I want a twist throttle, on the right side.
i’m 6’0 at 248 pounds. should i get medium or large?
How upright is the riding position? My messed up back can't handle being constantly hunched over. Can the handlebars be raised above the level they come at?
We have levels and are getting an adventure. We raised the handlebars on our levels.we used a adjustable stem.
this could be the bike for my stepson. riding engine converted bikes for a couple years now with limited results. but a proper engineered E-bike would be better, reliable and dependable.
