  • I've finally reached 2000 miles on my Aventon Aventure.1 after countless adventures, so here's my complete review.
    The Aventure is one of the most popular fat tire e-bikes.

    This is the best, most convincing testimonial I've seen. So, so helpful. Thanks.

    Nice review. I really like my Ride1up LMT'D though, the torque sensor was the difference that sold it for me. The Gen 2 Aventons have the torque sensor too, I believe.
    It took a bit of work for me to mod it out, but now it's very adjacent to your Adventure, with racks and fenders. I added a suspension seatpost and an adjustable handlebar mount too.
    Mine's a step-through frame, less rigid but convenient for both me and my wife who's a bit shorter.
    I'm gradually acquiring knowledge and parts for a solar charging setup, as I hope to take it on longer trips and camping.
    If I had more space I'd build or modify a trailer so I could charge and ride, but for now I think I'll have to settle on something compact or collapsible I can used while parked.

      I have a friend who has a Ride1up, great bikes! Cadence sensors are a must. I plan on making a solar charging set up too.

    I burned my Aventon Aventure 2 motor up at only 67 miles. It couldn’t make it up the steep paved mountain road at the 3,000 foot elevation. I only made it 8 miles on this trip before the hub motor burned up. I rode in Eco and 1st gear. My friend’s $600 Walmart Hyper 250 watt mid-drive mountain e-bike made it up the hill and my Aventure didn’t. Very embarrassing. I took it back to the bike store and the bike mechanic said that I needed a new hub motor. Good thing the Aventon has a two year warranty.

      Interesting. Just a couple days I took my ebike to the sand dunes where it was abused all day and still works fine. You must have had a faulty unit.

    Best bike channel on yt, is the solar panel useful ?

    • @MustBePerfectForever
      @MustBePerfectForever  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks so much! It charges my 10,000 milli-amp hour battery in about 8 or so hours. It adds up and allows me to charge all my lights without ever charging them from a wall plug... so yes, I could say it's pretty useful. It's nice to have as an emergency too to charge up a phone.

    Nylon gears in the motor?? Not nylon and steel? How many miles can i rought get outof a motor like this? I won't be putting it through sand and mud. I have an offgrid solar system that'll be charging my bike when i do get it. I really like your set up you got going on yours great video.

    • @MustBePerfectForever
      @MustBePerfectForever  8 месяцев назад +1

      It's really hard to find this information but I am pretty sure it's Nylon. I know of some much higher end bikes that use steel but that's rare and those are pretty loud but last lots longer.

    I just ordered the adventure 2. With you talking about the sensor and the adventure 2 having it, will you be upgrading ?

    • @MustBePerfectForever
      @MustBePerfectForever  16 дней назад

      @@brandon34344 I won’t be upgrading anytime soon because the one good thing about the cadence sensor is I can go the max speed (28 mph) while pedaling super slow. With the new torque sensor I would have to put more effort in for the bike to reach that speed. If I were doing more technical off road stuff I would upgrade but I don’t as much anymore.

      @@brandon34344 closing in on 3000 miles… motor still kicking but definitely signs of wear and tear. Its making Wierd noses under strain which I think are the gears inside getting worn out. Honestly surprised it’s lasted this long considering I literally never pedal.

    What solar charging system did you get? Does it fully charge the battery? If so, how much time does it typically take to top it up?

    • @MustBePerfectForever
      @MustBePerfectForever  3 месяца назад

      I was initially planning on getting one but didn't. The cost is pretty high and it would take half a day to a full day to charge a battery so it makes little sense unless I were to do some hardcore off the grid stuff.

    • @MustBePerfectForever
      @MustBePerfectForever  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, in the app you can increase the speed limit. You used to be able to get it up to 35 miles an hour, but with the latest update it's limited to 28 miles an hour. Thanks for watching!

    What do you use to carry extra batteries on your Aventure?

    • @MustBePerfectForever
      @MustBePerfectForever  10 месяцев назад

      I either use massive yellow panniers (there's a couple clips of me riding with them throughout the video). It's large enough to carry two batteries on each side. On smaller trips I just strap a backpack to my rack and put 1 or 2 batteries in there. Let me know if you want me to send links or more details.
