    I own this chair and I must say. They do not stand behind their product. What is a warranty if they don't honor it. My chair sounds like a blinder everytime you move it. Arms and seat pan shakes like crazy. I would recommend you get something else unless you like listening to your chair all day long.

      Agh! I was set on getting this chair until reading your comment. One of the main reasons I am looking for a new chair, besides failing quality is because my current one makes so much noise. Drives me crazy.

    Is this still a good chair in 2024 or did ergonomics for chairs evolve? I have an OM OM5 that fits me perfectly, but I don't like the cross bar in the front of the seat. Even with the extra memory foam, I can still feel it as a terrible pressure point in my thighs. I have a Haworth Fern, but I have problems with that too. The back is too high for me, and the seat cushion is too hard.
    I'm a fan of the poly backs, I like the perch feature on the Fern and I need a headrest. If not the Truly, what else is there for shorter people?

    Mine arrived today and I appreciate this video showing how all of the adjustments work. As someone with long legs, seat depth is the number one source of discomfort for me in office chairs so being able to adjust that at this price point is EXCELLENT. I am loving my chair and think it's probably the best chair you can get for this price. Sure we all want Herman Millers but if you can't drop $1000+ on a chair, this is a sweet spot between affordable-ish and high quality/highly adjustable!

      @@cmthekilla I just took delivery of an OM Truly (from BTOD) this week. My spouse convinced me to order the headrest - which puts the cost over the top TBH, but I'm glad I let her convince me - it's a nice option. Took each of the Aluminum options including the AR-485 Arms. Solid, not much wiggle compared to the KR-445 as demoed for comparison in the video. Chose the SPICE upholstery anticipating it will prove to be durable - a little on the firm side, color options are nice (went with Pepper.).The Polyback works for me (Arctic White) - I rather like it and it seems to be breathable. My wife and son both spoke favorably of it when they tried the seat on for a test ride. I think I took the Dual Tone Casters, but they're easily swappable. As a matter of fact, take them off when unpacking - makes removing the bubble wrap easier ;-) This isn't the Herman Miller I used in a professional work space, but it's much more attractive in appearance and I'm the sole user so I don't need that industrial quality and associated cost of the H-M. FWIW, I pull twelve hour shifts so I feel investing in a chair such as this is a worthwhile investment in these days of Work from Home. Still tweaking the adjustments to get it "just right", but I am favorably impressed.

      @@jonlevinson3000 Nice, glad you are enjoying your chair. I was able to get the OM5 about 2 months ago at a very discounted price and love it. However I may still opt for the headrest, as it would just be there. No need for adjusting the chair as it moves with you, which works great after getting used to it.

      @@cmthekilla I was debating between OM5 and truly and got Truly. I removed all the options such as headrest and armrest so I got it at $420. I never watch movie on my task chair so I don't feel the need of headrest.

    Great videos very informative. I like the Truly a lot but I was also curious about the OM5 and the unique reclining mechanism. Do you have any videos or personal experience with the OM5?

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  4 года назад +1

      I do have quite a bit of experience with the OM5. I don't like the reclining function on it, since it feels like it reclines to easily. When you use an alternative, like the Humanscale Freedom, it does a better job holding your tilt angle. If I were to choose between the Truly and OM5, I would always pick the Truly chair -GK

    What can you tell us about the seat sizing of Petite, Standard or or Full? What are the differences in measurements and are those longways, side width, etc? For someone who is short at 5'3", narrow body width, with short Femurs, would the standard or petite be recommended? Can someone add the headrest after purchase?

    Do the JR armrests solve the slop issue as opposed to the KR variant? Also, I noticed that the stool variants have a different seat mechanism. Is it mostly the same as the chair? I feel like the chair version has more adjustability esp with recline but I have a standing desk.

    how long are the 445 arms? dimensions are confusing from the om seating website. From the seat? where from the seat top or bottom. Why not the whole length of the arm?

      I have been using an all white Diffrient World chair a lot lately and the one area that I've noticed can look dirtier is the base of the chair. I put my feet on there quite a bit and it is showing some marks. Otherwise, I haven't notived a difference on the rest of the chair. -RB

      BTOD.com That’s great news! I actually think I’m going to order it tomorrow anyway without even sitting in it first, since Iv heard so many great things about it. Just hope this isn’t a bad decision. Can’t go wrong with OM though right? you guys should really try the OM “24/7 Intensive” chair. It’s ugly but damn is it comfortable. Around $600 though... Looking forward to how you compare it to you other top rated chairs in the same $400ish price range.

    I am interested in buying OM truly. Is there a reason to buy from BOTD.com instead of from OM official website? Although this chair has some flaws, I think you can't find a flawless or better chair at this price range.
