The power is so impressive It amazes me how much these locomotives can pull. It's getting a little scary here in Iowa with the Mississippi river overflowing it's banks. The water is very close to the train tracks along the border with Wisconsin and Illinois. Thanks for another great video.
Great video. My favorite part was what I presume to be brand new hoppers owned by Archer Daniels Midland (ADMX) on NS123 as there was a cut of hoppers that have sequential numbers right after the 14:00 mark
No doubt the inbound train was happy to hear they could go because I'm sure they didn't want to be stuck on the road. The big uphill train should have had some nutrients from its consists much of it from. A DM and a batch of grain that was loaded on the Kankakee Beaverville and Southern. KBSR cars including a former klemme grain car with the pink paint bleeding through. Then CP leads a Tate & Lyle set of empties back to Indiana. The 3 pushers on the mega train would have been worthy of Surround-sound
Good Day, I want to thank you for your videos. I am disabled and don't get out much. I enjoy seeing the best roads in our region. peace, Christian, The KY eye.
Nice catches my friend!!! Again I love the Canadian Pacific engine power!!!! It's pretty cool seeing the Railway company CPKC that I film alot up here in Canada seeing on the NS line in USA, keep up the great work Mr Tooth!
My name is Uncle Ariel Ethan Mermaid. Great train video today. Cool train video today. Cool train video today. HI There Jaw Tooth. Good Morning. OK Jaw Tooth.
Swell film👀❤good to SEE the C.P. locomotive and C.N. cars . I am fairly new to your site ( few weeks) . Thanks for ALL!! you do to get train film as well i enjoy farm life 👀❤ . So Long from Toronto Ontario - 4/27/23 🤠
Thank you for another productive day at the Beechwood Road crossing in Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Jaw Tooth! Norfolk Southern train #123 needed the help of those manned DPU units at the end of the train to get up the hill. The dead BNSF engine on the front of the train had to be the cause of train #127:3 stalling while coming up the hill. I think the train symbol of 90 was used to designate the DPU units that were tacked on the end of the train to shove train #123 up the hill. At 12:29 a former Chicago & North Western Railroad green covered grain hopper car appeared in the train. I could not read the reporting marks on that car. At 12:36 another single former CNW green covered grain hopper car appeared. This car had KBSR reporting marks. At 12:43 three more former CNW green covered grain hopper cars appeared. These three cars also had KBSR reporting marks. KBSR are the reporting marks for the Kankakee, Beaverville & Southern Railroad. The "Brick" heading up hill out of the Ohio River Valley was a bonus catch!
I got back the other day from my first ever train trip from St. Louis to Austin and back and while much of it was a study in tardiness and missing dates and my very last train home ( the only one that was on time), it was interesting! I LOVED the leg room and the hassle-free boarding. No basically stripping down and having everything x-rayed like they do flying. I met two You Tubers there I've been following for years now but I'm afraid I didn't make a great first impression as I'm not used to packing a razor for many years now and the hotel had none that I could see anywhere. I know I had some stubble so I probably looked like a bum! Then, on the way you see all the old tracks and obvious places where they used to be and some being half-buried.. Not to mention all of the obvious former stations, big and small. Sure makes me wonder just how many places the railroads went in the 20's and 30's! Thanks to your videos I found myself looking at the pedigree of the rails and now I know what the inscriptions mean! Being 58 I didn't enjoy having to go down stairs then back up stairs to use the facilities but it is what it is! Even with the problems I would consider taking the train again though next time I might spring for the sleeper ticket as those people are on the bottom and don't have to go up and down the stairs!
That’s one awesome location, I can see why you spend so much time there. Impressive show of power getting that stalled train up the hill, of course one locomotive down doesn’t help much. Seeing trains battle upgrade and ease downgrade is always a sight to see. Nice job JT.👍🏼😎
So cool you caught NS 55G again with CP 8028 leading I just filmed it coming into Kokomo Indiana they had to bring her to a complete stop to remove a shopping cart from the tracks..... Great video!!!!
Awesome! I was just telling my friend Scott that I want to film the Road Railers that you catch. You had a really awesome video that I was telling him about but I can't think of the name of the town. I think it had a diamond close to a crossing. Anyway, I want to get over there and catch some of the Road Railers before they are gone. The last one I filmed was shortly after I started my channel. I had it run over a dollar bill. lol
I am pretty sure that red car without plates was for a kind of survey about break-ins and robberies. They do that around my town often. I always see one downtown parked at the sonic. Nice catches by the way!
The original name of Dunsmuir, CA, was Pusher because that’s where one or more locomotives would be added to push trains up through the Cantara Loop, then run back down to get ready to help the next northbound train.
Cool catches! I like a good old manifest train every now and again. Loved that stalled train with the three units in the back. First time that I’ve seen that.
Good Morning everyone. I see you caught a CP leader...the horn on her was awesome as well, they gave you a horn salute as well. Tipical Canadians, always being kind eh? Great video Sir. Cheers from CP country
Great video JT! We are out here visiting in Ohio & went to your favorite place to eat in Glendale. Great Food & Atmosphere! And as a bonus-we got to see a Train with a DPU!
I started on the c&nw rr in 1968, 2 or 3 1500 hp locomotives and dispatchers always overload trains, we doubled alot of steep grades, 40 t0 60 cars and speed of 45 because of no roller bearings
If i remember correctly here in North Carolina we have the grade steep as 4 to 5% uphill and it’s name was Saluda Grade back in 1880s they have common runaway trains back when the steam locomotives were dominated from 1800 to the year of Diesel Locomotives came to help about the grade. In 1903 the southern build two runaway tracks one of the track was torn up and the other one was reminded in service till Norfolk Southern suspended rail service from East Flat Rock NC To Landrum SC back in 2001. Today the rails are still there but due to poor maintenance and washouts they were talking about doing the rail and trail for the saluda grade. Thanks
like seeing the CP down there they have pretty nice looking loco's great video as usual you are good at what you do and getting lucky a lot lol thank you Jaw Tooth
Howdy JT - Great catches today! Man those helpers were working on the back end. Love your videos - only problem is I get your intro/outro music stuck in my head for the rest of the day... lol Thanks for sharing 🤠
First train lead "Black Horse" ( locomotive ) Norfolk Southern #4047 first of two,( other NS#3648 ) and trailing dpu NS#4082, ( 8'44") dpu ALLRIGHT ! ( 8'33") Woops !, DPU I see you ❤
Do you know if the stalled train had a DPU on the end of it that couldn't keep up with the load? Judging by the fact that the two rear engines were tail to tail, and that the first engine on the back of the stalled train was nose to nose with the second unit, on the rear of the train, they might have had a DPU on that train but it wasn't enough to compensate for the dead engine. It's odd to see them run a set of locomotives with a rearward facing engine on the front, unless one of them is a DPU assigned to the consist, and not a helper engine.
Just curious, with all the trainspotting that you do, do you ever spot rail hoppers hunkered down on the backs of cars? I'm guessing probably, which would lead to my second question; how often?
I see them around railroad yards sometimes. A couple weeks ago I saw two in two days. They had backpacks with them and they were kind of dirty looking. I saw another a few weeks ago walking along the tracks trying to find a spot to catch out near Queensgate but I don't see them real often. They hide pretty good.
Have you ever, monsieur, toyed with the idea was employing a drone to help facilitate in capturing your footage ? "Pacing Da Beast" as it claws the gradient.
@jaw tooth did you know that in Big Sandy Texas the workers are going to be taking out the oldest signal lights ever especially the extremely rare bowling signal lights? You should check it out
That was cool. I've never seen that much power at once. How rare is it they underestimate the amount of power needed for one train? Thanks for the cool video. 😊😊
Great good video, mr Jaw Tooth. That was cool in the first train 3 railcars for grain for Potash Corp with no grafitti??? Hu how is that possible? And that nice passengertrain is for the board of NS? Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands 🇾🇪🇺🇸.
Graffiti mostly happens in quiet, unsecured spots in urban areas. If a car doesn't spend a lot of time in that kind of environment, it won't pick up much graffiti. For example, a lot of grain cars are pretty clean, because they spend their time shuttling between huge grain elevators in the rural-ish Midwest and ports, or in storage in the middle of nowhere. Box cars, on the other hand, spend days at a time sitting at some random customer site that's probably in the suburbs of a city.
When you said push you weren’t kidding! Too bad you couldn’t speed check the speed of that train coming up the hill! Busy place!
If he had a speed gun, we would know how fast the train was going.
Its no wonder the engines stalled on the grade as that was quite the train. the helpers were really working it. thank you.
Thanks for watching !
Thank you JT for the videos. It's especially nice to see the CPKC unit leading.
This always a good spot on that grade. Lots of live action! Thanks for sharing!
A lot of action today. One of my favorite spots that you visit...
Mine too. I love going there
Chessie is obsessed with your horse today. I didn't know you had a horse. We can tell you love animals. Awesome 👍😊
I have had that horse for close to 20 years. I used to have cows and tons of chickens
The power is so impressive
It amazes me how much these locomotives can pull. It's getting a little scary here in Iowa with the Mississippi river overflowing it's banks. The water is very close to the train tracks along the border with Wisconsin and Illinois. Thanks for another great video.
#JT Thanks for the video ! A vehicle with no plates and a purse on back seat would be worth reporting to authorities for sure
You could say that again, mate
Could be a bate car too.
BUEN DIA AMIGOS,GRACIAS POR LAS IMAGENES DE VUESTROS GRANDES TRENES.
Great video. My favorite part was what I presume to be brand new hoppers owned by Archer Daniels Midland (ADMX) on NS123 as there was a cut of hoppers that have sequential numbers right after the 14:00 mark
Wee horn salute from CP lead towards end of the vid. Pretty cool. Thanks!!
So is Santa Fe unit that's goldbricken?

😊, ho
Interesting day. Six engines to get that train up the hill. Chessie is a brat! Nice haircut. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
JT, when at 15:38 you say you are getting lucky, there is another train coming up the hill, you aren't kidding. You caught the only NS Geometry Train.
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
There was a beaver on that locomotive.
I would say that the trains in the USA are amazing, and very different from Portugal.
You don't like beaver?
Thank you once again for the great content. I enjoy all your videos. Kind regards from the UK.
Glad you like them!
Morning JT
Hey JawTooth 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌
Thanks!
@@JawTooth Your are very welcome 🤗😁
Really enjoy your videos
Another awesome video, JT great train action, 😇👌👍
Tons of power and an inspection train too!! Awesome....1🚂😎👍
🚂Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! ✨✨👍🙏

Nice little shout out from the CP lead engine.
Wait a minute, didn't we just see these railbox cars going down the hill?
I don't think so. thanks for watching !
It was a good day in Crescent Springs, no doubt. Thanks for another great one.
Another fantastic great train catch! As usual, JawTooth always gets the job done. 😊
I am pretty sure that red car without plates was for a kind of survey about break-ins and robberies. They do that around my town often. I always see one downtown parked at the sonic. Nice catches by the way!

From Deb…thanks JT…that was simply the best!
Thanks Deb!
That was a awesome train with three DPU 'S that was a EPIC of a train WOOOOOOOOW 👍👍👍👍
Great video JT!
We are out here visiting in Ohio & went to your favorite place to eat in Glendale. Great Food & Atmosphere! And as a bonus-we got to see a Train with a DPU!
Another fantastic video today. A lot of action. Thanks for the videos, Brian. Enjoy the weekend ahead, and see you on the next! 🙂👍🇺🇸
Awesome thank you for sharing
Nice Train Action and thanks for being there 🎩🎩off to ya🚂🚂
Morning JT. Thanks again for sharing.
Lots of ex-CNW hoppers on the stalled train, including one of the badly painted-over pink Klemme Coop cars.
The last 2 engines on 123 were T90 the Gest Street yard switchers. 1225 was the DPU.
(That's what you get for borrowing a BNSF engine.)
I started on the c&nw rr in 1968, 2 or 3 1500 hp locomotives and dispatchers always overload trains, we doubled alot of steep grades, 40 t0 60 cars and speed of 45 because of no roller bearings
Great helper action, geometry the brick train and run-through power on the grade!🛤🚂
The train with the cp for lead was in Kokomo Indiana
Thank You Jaw Tooth 😊 many surprises Cool!!
Wow that train around 11:09 onwards has a lot Kankakee Beaverville & Southern ex-XTRA hoppers (see 12:23, and 12:44) !
Ur Music never gets old,,,EMD forever

Thank you very much . I can see american pawarful train . And I can feel american industrial power .
Hi jawtooth I went to Russell Kentucky this past weekend and caught some train videos csx n I caught a manifest train in Ohio n csx In Barboursville
Awesome video JT, and I really liked that Hammer Head on the rear of the stalled train.
Great footage sir! I thank that CP is a little lost!, it’s supposed to be out on the left coast not the right. Lol!
like seeing the CP down there they have pretty nice looking loco's great video as usual you are good at what you do and getting lucky a lot lol thank you Jaw Tooth
Thanks 👍
Howdy JT - Great catches today! Man those helpers were working on the back end. Love your videos - only problem is I get your intro/outro music stuck in my head for the rest of the day... lol Thanks for sharing 🤠
IKR!😊😊😊
Big train on a long hill with grade? Give me 4014 double heading with 3985 in it’s prime.
First train lead "Black Horse" ( locomotive ) Norfolk Southern #4047 first of two,( other NS#3648 ) and trailing dpu NS#4082, ( 8'44") dpu ALLRIGHT ! ( 8'33") Woops !, DPU I see you ❤

Some awesome power on the hill. Excellent video as always, thanks man!
Howdy Gang... Hope all are well.. Stay positive!!!
Awesome retro looking cars. 😊
Fantastic work. Well done my dear. Keep up your good work.
Looks like another Soldier Summit like we have here in Utah. 7,477feet. High Mountain Railroads ❤
3rd train,Quality control on a roll!!!
Have you ever, monsieur, toyed with the idea was employing a drone to help facilitate in capturing your footage ? "Pacing Da Beast" as it claws the gradient.
Beautiful video, greetings 🚂👍🙋♂️
Cool catch again!!
Thanks!
hello jaw its is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks friends randy
About 147 cars . . That downhill train needed a DPU
@jaw tooth did you know that in Big Sandy Texas the workers are going to be taking out the oldest signal lights ever especially the extremely rare bowling signal lights? You should check it out
That was a whole lot of push power.
2:15 “I hear that train a’ coming, it’s coming around the bend….”
That was cool. I've never seen that much power at once. How rare is it they underestimate the amount of power needed for one train? Thanks for the cool video. 😊😊
A very cool video thanks Jaw Tooth
Very cool!
Great video have a blessed day
Thanks and you too!
You are an artist.
Awesomeness ❤train power!!!
Thanks for watching
I enjoy that video👍👍
I made a mistake, NS has two Geometry trains. The one you caught is nicknamed the Brick, which another of your commenters identified before me.
Great good video, mr Jaw Tooth.
That was cool in the first train 3 railcars for grain for Potash Corp with no grafitti??? Hu how is that possible? And that nice passengertrain is for the board of NS?

The first downhill train sounded like it was using heavy dynamic braking
Great Video Jaw Tooth!
Nice push for the train by another train :) I couldn't say where the one stopped and the other started - LOL! Very cool though.
I thought a "buffer" car had to be between the locomotives and the first tank car.
