Kinda have to disagree. While all 3 work for their own survival, the things mycelium and bees must do to survive are inherently beneficial to the rest of the ecosystem. Just to eat, mycelium must break down dead organic material, and bees must land on flowers. Humans, on the other hand, do not inherently benefit the ecosystem through our pursuit of survival. We also have loftier pursuits, such as technological and societal advancement, which seem to inherently harm the ecosystem. I don't mean to be a cynic, but I think it's important to take note of this fact. We are not out to make the world a better place, we are out to make the world a better place *for us.* As we focus on our goals and become more advanced, we must also put in more effort to prevent and counteract the negative impacts our pursuits have on the world around us. We are not inherently beneficial like bees or mycelium, but that's because we have goals that far exceed surviving and procreating, and we must act as proper stewards of the world that was given to us.
I recommended the mycelium bee feeder to my friends parents as their bee colonies weren't doing well and they totally came back and are thriving better than ever.

I garden a lot and use neem oil to keep insects away, and it is bee and fungus safe. I also went to court and accused the county of poisoning the water supply, which they then stopped doing. Plenty of bees around now, they love morning glory flowers and honeysuckle, which I also protected by calling attention to the chemicals they spray on it and the damage it does to the surrounding area.
Hi Paul...... Thank you for your great work... You are one of my heroes.. I own your products and learned laboratory techniques with the help of your books and shroomery.... Spore to mycelium to fruit and spore print. Success.
Don't forget to plant native species that specialist pollinators need like Goldenrod, Grindelia, Phacelia, lots of plants in the Asteraceae. Native plants can also be medicinal to bees, for example bumble bees using delphinium nectar have less parasites. Plant a large diversity of flowers throughout the season with overlapping bloom times and avoid using pesticides.
I have a few acres of farmland and I keep a few rotten logs around for bees to inhabit. I try and make them as hospitable for swarming hives as possible, and they're all full of honey. Sure, bears sure do come to steal some but they can take it. The winter's harsh here so I let the bees keep their honey. As I'm not into honey nor beekeeping (I have a phobia for eusocial insects, don't ask me why), I'm doing what I can. I also don't agree with beekeeping in general, I think it hurts the bee as specie(s), but that's me digressing. Bees are important, pollinators in general in fact. Without them, we wouldn't have many of our grains.
I take it this is about Honeybees. I have news for you: Honeybees are a farmed animal and are NOT in trouble. The bees that need help are our natural wild bees, which also are better polinators than Honeybees (which are good for making honey but not much else).

Dr. Michael Greger says that the unDutched cocoa (like Hershey'sbrown box) still has all of its polyphenols, catechins, epicatechins, and is more effective at stopping a cough than codeine. Try mixing the cocoa powder with canned date syrup (which has a low glycemic index) until it resembles a thick brownie batter and is hard to stir. Don't heat it, as that would destroy the polyphenols, etc. This gives you a fudgie product that can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge and used as needed to calm a cough, open the lungs, dilate the blood veins and act as an antihistamine/decongestant for the sinus. We've found this mixture will stop the most annoying of coughs and colds in the most delicious of ways. It's a bonus that you can take it in the middle of the night and go right back to sleep!

"We are launching a truly unique carbon neutral NFT project." I would like to learn more about how this NFT project is carbon neutral. What does that mean?
I love Paul's work. I'm a huge fan. But I can't get behind this NFT thing as a means to fund raise. I've been to the Discord, it's all your typical NFT stuff. They don't have anything figured out. Don't know what coin they are using to power the project. Don't have any art ready. Not to mention that the entire Cypto and NFT market is in a huge CRASH right now. There are better ways to fund Paul's projects than to associate it with NFTs imo. This path is a racket.
@@JeremyKingTech Blockchains are nothing more than fancy ledgers and NFTs a fancy deed (proof of ownership, so an NFT could be tied to a real life house or an actual onion, for example). Decentralized finance (DeFi) is simply an online version of peer-to-peer (P2P) transference of money that cuts out middlemen (payment processing) like PayPal, Venmo, Square, banks (etc.) that charges a fee for each transaction... In other words, you can achieve the same effect as handing someone physical dollars irl. So what does this all mean? Well, the upside of blockchain and NFTs are their resistance to forgery (i.e. in blockchains, it is harder but not impossible to forge transactions; in NFTs it is harder but not impossible to forge deeds). The downside is... If you aren't working for a high security industry, you can achieve about the same effect with ledgers and a secure database. Of course, I suppose if one is savvy, one could cut out the payment processor and save a few bucks on each donation using blockchain & NFTs in a DeFi structure. However. The BIG caveat is that the first party running the blockchain now assumes all cybersecurity risks-- Just because blockchains & NFTs are resilient to forgery doesn't mean all other cybersecurity risks suddenly go *poof*. For example, backdoor, man-in-the-middle, spoofing and phishing are still real threats to the network. What used to be Paypal's headache will now be Paul's headache. So idk, while I enjoy Paul's work, the decision to go towards blockchain & NFTs, as you rightly pointed out, needs more justification beyond "it's unique and carbon neutral". Heck, Paul I would buy a merchandise mug or T-shirt with a Mycelial Earth logo on it to fund projects before I'd buy NFTs simply because I know exactly what I am getting and how the money is processed.
Does that include poison from pesticide which are being sprayed by big farmers on their field. In my country bees are dying from them like never ever before.

@@ReelNautiAdventures he is talking controlled study's need to be done for definitive proof but he has already feed the extract to bees and the bee keepers went from dwindling populations to thriving but the hives where out side and there was no control hive that wasn't giving the extract so further test need to be done is all but proof of concept was proven Idc if you believe me lol
Thank you Paul!
Dear Paul,
All's best, good luck.
I love you for your pure care and bringing a true option to the worlds most complex overlooked issues.
Ur such a badass paul! Keep it up citizen scientists.
I've been taking *your* Lion's Mane Mushrooms for years. #score
Love what your doing to save bees!!!
Thank you for working on this. Bees need our help.
Can’t wait to join the discord! Paul Stamets and crew are the best people on Earth! 🫡🍄

Hey Paul, I have to say I admire your work and you inspire me to study myology from my masters degree when I’m done studying education degree in early childhood!
Captain on Deck!
I LOVE the work you're doing! Thank you so much Paul!
You are a wonderful person. To many you are inspiring and we are lucky to have you contributing to the scientific community.
3 years in rehabilitating a living humus in what once was scraped down to subsoil here. Love your work, Sir!
I garden a lot and use neem oil to keep insects away, and it is bee and fungus safe. I also went to court and accused the county of poisoning the water supply, which they then stopped doing. Plenty of bees around now, they love morning glory flowers and honeysuckle, which I also protected by calling attention to the chemicals they spray on it and the damage it does to the surrounding area.
buying into the whole co2 business is quite disheartening
Hi Paul...... Thank you for your great work... You are one of my heroes.. I own your products and learned laboratory techniques with the help of your books and shroomery.... Spore to mycelium to fruit and spore print. Success.
Great to see and hear you Paul!
Thank you Paul Stamets. Keep on mushin'
I absolutely 💘 that you are doing this, Paul. Increasing constitutional bee health is a wonderful vector from which to address this problem of CC.
Youre an amazing human ! Thank you
Thank you! Happy new year!
Paul are you still interested in Agarikon sources? I've run across some located in the oregon cascades that are easily found again.
Mush love Mr. Stamets! 💓🍄
Much love Paul , from Nova Scotia Canada ♥
Hi Paul I really like your mushroom hat, where can I buy one?
thank you Paul
Thanks for doing what you do Paul. Have a blessed day.
✌
Saw it in your presentation, i tell it to everyone.
Thank you for your contribution to open mindsets and make us more aware of nature
I read about this in the book ENTANGLED LIFE. Super food for bees.
My sister is a beekeeper and we've been implementing many of your strategies. Thank you for your service #thefungalrevolution
Love you Paul thanks for everything you do!
I began recreational tree climbing this year and I am always on the lookout for Agarikon mushrooms for you!
Stamets has the right balance of heart and mind
I feed my bees sugar syrup with Chaga tea every fall and they always make it through winter very strong.
Why are you focusing on honeybees when you’re talking about bee biodiversity?
Wrote my first year statistics assignment on your Nature report on the reishi extracts last year, was a pleasure to do. Keep up the great work.
Too Bee so lucky to be a beekeeper. I enjoyed your lectures at TESC.
I take it this is about Honeybees. I have news for you: Honeybees are a farmed animal and are NOT in trouble. The bees that need help are our natural wild bees, which also are better polinators than Honeybees (which are good for making honey but not much else).
I love you Mr Paul ShroomMan Stamets
Hi Paul. A friend of mine is growing Gold member mushrooms and a "puff ball" with a mushroom cap grew. It is the most bizarre looking shroom and turns blue when bruised. I'd like to send you a photo and get your opinion, but I don't have Twitter, Instagram or your email. If you'd like to have a look a it let me know and we can DM
We need to work on a fungi that kills ticks but helps bees.
Could you help the Dutch farmers reduce their nitrogen run off? They're really being squashed and I remember a video where you talked about the runoff from your land being questioned and tested. I have hope the environmentalist groups would listen to the guy who saved the bees.
@@nathanchukwudi1922 I'm really glad that's becoming more well-known. The runoff thing I think it was oyster mushrooms or something that was a little more hardy and large
Coincidentally, I have been reading a lot about beekeeping recently. I would recommend looking into Dr Leo Sharaskin of Missouri's translation of 'Beekeeping with a smile' which is the best resource that I have found about 'natural' beekeeping ie working with the bees rather than trying to control them.
Dr Leo also gives away his work quite freely.
I will recommend you to my apiary
friend.
This is off topic. I will be starting a regimen of Lions Mane. I have had 3 TIA. Not supposed to have long lasting effects....not supposed to.
I have memory and balance issues.
I watched your Joe Rogan interview just after I had my last mini stroke.
I am nearly 63.....this is my version of a Hail Mary pass.
Fortunately, I respect your work and am giving it a try.

definitely want one of those nft's. Much love Paul
I have a reishi mushroom in my backyard!!
The bee population in Ireland has massively declined, especially throughout the past few years.
This method is something I will be applying in my local forest this coming summer.
We need you back on with your buddy joe roagan Paul. I’m in Ireland and I’m going for Liberty caps today, I took my first of the season last week. But I want to trip again listening to you and joe. All the best to you 👍🏻

Let's go!!!
I Love my 'little monster' irish black bees, they just love the mountains of Tipperary and they smell like a beautific flowér ... my goal is to bring them to bee gentle bees 🧚♂️

Hello, Paul Stamets. I have trehalase deficiency. And I can't eat mushrooms without consequences. Is there a way to help my intestines deal with trahalose? Unfortunately I can't find anything on the internet. Help with knowledge if you can. Thank you.
"We are launching a truly unique carbon neutral NFT project."
I would like to learn more about how this NFT project is carbon neutral.
That's spooky, I was literally *JUST* telling someone about this today.
Good to see an upload Paul. Love it
NFTs 😵💫
I have wanted one! What is a good alternative feeder until your prototype is available to the public? ❤
You heard tha man let's go
Paul, I know your the mushroom man but do you know anything about the affects of eating unripe fruit and raw shoots of the Red Mulberry tree? Apparently they have hallucinogenic effects. What chemicals would cause those effects?
What's taking so long? There are people out there using their own extracts and have been for years.
Love ur work !
You rock keep up the great work!
I found a bunch of Reishi, is it possible to do the bee thing at home?
