@@HineseStateTelevision Nah Madrid feels like it's gearing up to the eventual 'your journey is ending' in Rome Might sound silly, but Madrid feels too hectic for an ending
People be using "complex layout" as a reason why Rome should be in the second cup of the wave while forgetting the equally complicated London Loop starting Wave 3. To me, this is better for Acorn Cup as a way to say, "These last courses won't be as easy as the ones before them!" and the music is a lot calmer than Madrid's.
My route prediction is very similar to this one, except the final lap starts in Rome Avanti 2R from the road just before the glider ramp to the gardens, then it goes through the garden section to the Spanish Steps and then goes back into Rome Avanti 2N. Imo the garden and staircase section is a little more exciting in the 2R variant, with the player gliding up and onto the gardens and going down the steps instead, though the 2N variant has a better view of the Mouth of Truth. My idea is basically a way of combining both variants while also giving a new perspective on parts of the track (the Piazza del Popolio and alleyway section).
Kinda hope it goes Rome 1, 2, and 3 since it’s doable given their layouts and also because the final lap theme kicking in right as you’re about to enter the Colosseum again but where the chain chomps are at, makes it sound like a much more fitting order that I hope they go with.
@@mathiewrothrouge8648 Basically Rome Avanti 1 and after the roundabout, instead of taking the lower path through the big main street, you take the upper path where you would go through the starting line backwards and then you do Rome Avanti 2 in its original route and then you take the lower route that Rome Avanti 1 had originally to start Rome Avanti 3’s normal variant and then race through that normally.
@@rebirthphoenix5646 I like that idea. Makes it so we don't have to build another starting line and makes it so the animation after the race is over won't be awkward.

I liked your original prediction more. That was the plan that had the 1-2-3 formula from Tokyo Blur, New York Minute, London Loop, Amsterdam Drift, and Vancouver Velocity. Rome Avanti 1 was used for the first lap, then the race involved the second lap starting with the western lobe of Rome Avanti 2 in reverse, then taking the southeast exit of the roundabout to switch to regular Rome Avanti 2's eastern lobe, then taking the south exit of the roundabout to get back to the starting line and commence the final lap, which follows Rome Avanti 3. I had the same plan as that, as well as these plans: Another plan made 3 the second lap and 2 the final lap, though unlike what you did here, the western lobe is done in reverse. A third plan starts with MrCoolz's first prediction video, but switches the end of 2 out for end of 1 at the end of the final lap: ruclips.net/video/9DVCKYYpEzw/видео.html The fourth plan is a single-lap track that does the 1-2-3 formula found in Tokyo Blur, New York Minute, London Loop, Amsterdam Drift, and Vancouver Velocity, but you do not return to la Via del Corso until the end of the race. Instead of taking the south exit when you first get to the roundabout, you take the southeast exit, then go down Rome Avanti 2. Then when you get to la Via del Corso's southern terminus, you take a slight right to switch to Rome Avanti 3, then follow that for the rest of the race. (The gates that mark where the last two sections start are just after the southeast exit of the roundabout for section 2 and just before the Trevi Fountain for section 3.)
@@Ridter Well, it seems like Nintendo is going to use your original prediction. ruclips.net/video/uacyAbkxDxY/видео.html I saw the trailer. ruclips.net/video/0-kASUEEXn8/видео.html That, or they could be doing 1 --> 3 --> 2R > 2. I didn't see another gate after the southeastern exit of the roundabout in la Piazza del Pópolo at the northern edge of the map, so I doubt that the racers will transition from 3 to 2 that way.
I just got one question as I feel it will not have a different section marker, are there any roads in the entire map that can transition between the variants in the final lap like what they did in Berlin Byways and Amsterdam Drift. Some of those roads are unused in the official variants yet are utilized in the Deluxe version.
@@Ridter Ah, such a shame. These parts allowed the unique aspect other than Paris Promenade, except that one is a used road on a variant, where you can collide with other racers if you are just ahead enough.

eh, i don't think every course needs to have a second finish line. i think after the Piazza del Campidoglio on lap 2, it will go right instead of left and end like Rome Avanti 2.
Honestly I don’t think they’ll have another lap gate, they only use those when its strictly necessary for gameplay (Such as: visiting chinatown twice to hear the music in normal and final lap form, having it strictly required to have LA even work at all, or not doing athens 2R which detracts from gameplay unlike other R variants due to the cannon), when here you could just navigate back to the other side of the starting line. Not to mention its easier for nintendo to have you end in the same direction as you started since then they don’t need to make a unique victory lap (especially evident by Amsterdam).
Athens 3 is really short, so they could’ve just put it in the second lap like with Sydney, but they decided to add another starting gate, so I disagree
@@Roxleton One issue: There is a second lap gate in Athens. There literally just is. Not to mention I don’t think nintendo even considered having multiple lap gates till wave 4 so the previous shouldn’t be considered. but even then how are you supposed to disagree with something that is literally, physically, and actually in the track? @@koosloo_ulia why would you infer I was disagreeing with something in the track and not your claim? That doesn’t even make any sense bro..? And it’s not like I can’t disagree with something on the track either. I could definitely disagree with the placement of the second lap gate on athen if I wanted to. Anyways, Even then, even if they didn’t consider a second lap gate before wave 4, the point is that Athens didn’t need it. Therefore they aren’t just using it for select gameplay purposes.
@@Roxleton athens did need it though. Nintendos logic is that if a lap greatly detracts from gameplay compared to its tour version only then will they work around it. Athens 2R cuts out a large section of unique flying gameplay using a cannon and 1R cuts out the usability of some pillars tops, so they both had to be N variants. What do you know, they both are their N variants and it was only possible due to the second lap gate.
