The way you produced this proves drummers are the best video editors. If I was CEO of PEARL I surely would make you the marketing manager but maybe you are already…
8:30 If you _do_ want to practice quietly, a ten inch Evans Soundoff Mute will hush the snare wonderfully, and actually sounds quite pleasant in its own right. If you buy the two toms that are sold separately, get another ten inch mute for the high tom and a fourteen incher for the “floor” tom. The muffled sounds of both aren’t pretty but they are soft enough for those who need to practice in near-silence. Neither the Evans Soundoff nor any other mute that I know of will fit the bass drum, but a muted bass drum beater will do the job.
Great Kit.....I use this also, use brushes mainly when doing acoustic house and backyard jams. "Sometimes" with just the snare and base. Well done young fella !!!
I believe is a Remo Powersonic clear 18 bass drum head that is constructed of 2-ply 7-mil Mylar with two specifically placed internal subsonic dampening rings with External Snap-on Dampening System (ESDS) technology. The two mounted 3/4" internal dampening rings enhance low end without affixing trays or hard-backed dampening materials to the drumhead. The unique patent pending ESDS system employs snaps mounted directly to the drumhead to eliminate the possibility of vibration. This allows you to easily customize your muffling, feel, and sustain for different playing situations by "snapping" the strategically placed weighted pillow to the drumhead. Also included is the Falam Slam for added attack and durability.
I wanna get this for myself and my son. I’m a drummer myself since 5 . Do I get the pedals l, hi hat and cymbals at Guitar center ? What are the sizes ?
Can you not hear the ringy-ness of the hi-hat? I don't know what you did on the EQ for the snare sm57, but its picking up the hi hat and making it sound like a tamborine/jingle bell. And The ride/crash cymbal sounds like a bell. Either reposition the snare mic, or take the EQ off of it, give it a basic flat eq with a 150hz highpass and then your overhead should be totally flat and try to phase matched.
Can you really lay into the kick drum? Or will it fall over? I’ve noticed your not hitting the kick to hard. I’m diggin the snare a lot. I had a Pearl traveler kit in 1989, it was a 5 pc that had single heads that folded into itself. Enjoy 🥁🦅
Pearl offers a set of add on toms for this kit, which I plan on getting for my Compact Traveler since I don’t like playing a drum set without Tom’s. I’m currently using a set of Tama Mini Tymps as Tom’s right now with this kit.
Thanks for checking out the Compact Traveler!

Broooo! Your editing skills are going on whole new level!😍 🧙♂️
I think I still rather build a suitcase kit on wheels but that snare is a really good size for a portable kit
Hey I have a challenge for you do a drum cover but your secondary snare is your main snare pls do it!
Congrats Alejando! I saw that you got featured on a RUclips premium advertisement!
Great playing and review!
Want that merch so badlyyyy 🥲😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
I would just maybe dampt the snare too and add maybe a small tom with a stand, maybe to small toms on a stand 👍
Awesome review! Any idea what the lightest snare drum on the market is? Happy to rent kits, but want to take a snare on the road.
Great review!
When my Arbiter Flats kit finally gives up & I can’t source any more parts, this will be in my sights.
4:38 I know that beat 😏
What about the double pedal??
And you can put the cowbell in the snare drum holder too!
OMG that is trueeeeeeeee!!
How loud is this and is there additional toms from the same line that you can add on?
I saw on sweatwater that you can add a n to this set
Ima check in my drum head collection and see if I have an 18 inch kick 🦵 head for your pearl 18 bass drum.

Why does it look like your babying the kick?? Is it too fragile or?? Why not play the kick like a regular acoustic drum. Just wondering.
Can you really lay into the kick drum? Or will it fall over? I’ve noticed your not hitting the kick to hard. I’m diggin the snare a lot. I had a Pearl traveler kit in 1989, it was a 5 pc that had single heads that folded into itself. Enjoy 🥁🦅
It won’t fall. It has a leg on the front pushing against the direction of the kick. Actually the BD sounds great.

Does the kick pedal attach to the bass drum? It seems the bass drum would wander after awhile if it did not.
