Hey Alejandro! Thank you so much for stopping by our booth this year. It was great to get your feedback about the product. The video is great and thanks for ranking us so high on your list! 🤘 Lets keep in touch!
Thing about #2, FreeDrum virtual drumkit... there's no rebound at all? Not sure how that would feel. Might be good for somethings though. Just weird not having a rebound and just hitting the sticks in the air...
Thank you for creating this video, for me, the Moises product was the favorite, I hope I can use it very well in my future drum learning, thank you for presenting this application.
@@AlejandroSifuentes not sure I quite get it. although im sure ill find this answer in the next 15 minutes as usual, but where do the songs come from? can we just use any? or are there a set number of songs made for the app?
I'm a vocalist, guitarist & bassist, everything but a drummer ;P None the less, this was a great compilation video. It's always good to know what's available out there. The kits featured here are all great options for anyone considering building a home studio. Thanks man. Cheers..
Cool video! The Fast Tuning drums are definitely a game changer but, without knowing more about them, they also look like they add a whole new level of headache for changing heads!
This video has changed my life, but I wish you had added links for the drums I am planning on buying the silicone drums and the invisible drums. Cause I think the invisible drums would be cheaper and my favorite one is 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 THE SILICONE DRUMS
I'm sure this is a really dumb question, but, it looks like it tunes the top and bottom heads together? How does that work with snare and bass. I like a pretty tight bottom head on the snare, and little looser. On the bass, I like a real loose back head, and pretty loose batter side? Does this system vary the front to back head tension?
@@bennyblanko3 Yes, both heads are tensioned together, however, you can get different relationships of tone based on the combination of heads you choose, for example: a thinner head will have a higher tone and get tension on it quicker than a thicker head when paired together. On snares, the bottom head is generally quite a bit thinner, so this works out very similar to what you are accustom to. Regarding the bass drum, the same principal would apply. We always recommend trying WTS in person to experience how the drums feel and sound, as many people are surprised how well WTS works even though they are used to tuning heads differently with traditional drums!
Now you can kick it with your drums, and never worry about disturbing anyone ! I lost my Father to Cancer when I was five ! One of the last memories I have of my Dad, was him telling me to stop beating my Base drum, just before he kicked a hole in it, and I ran into the Bedroom crying ! 🥁 🫲😢🫴
Tama execs, “how can we save on production costs?” Hungry young staffer, “what if we cut the shells in half?” Execs-“give this kid a 3% raise, we don’t want to cut into the savings from our half drums”
Hiya Alejandro! The thing you don't know at 8:34, those screws are called rivets! The gadget that holds them could be like a rivets holder/anchor(?)... I tried Googling it and I don't see anything 😅 Anywho, great video! Saludos desde Puerto Rico! 👋🇵🇷
Thanks for the look. My favorite would be the TRAPS, how do they get the drums to sound so good! My least favorite is the cable tuning kit, if a cable breaks you're screwed.
That really isn’t a concern unless the instrument has been abused and neglected. However, if the cable was somehow damaged, you can replace it in just a few minutes - the process is very similar to changing a guitar string. The braided stainless steel cable is extremely strong, and we have never had one fail!
I never even knew the NAMM show existed. SO cool! I think I'd have to walk around with earmuffs or NC plugs in, lol, but I'd be going fangirl over every booth. Those uber-silent silicone heads have got me side-eyeing my silicone baking mats... And those whole box kits were NEAT! Hell, all of it was neat. Like I said, fangirling at every booth. :)
First I have to say thank you so much for everything you do and you really made a huge difference in my drumming. So very grateful for your help! My question is those “TCS Yamaha heads in your video no 6 . I just watched this video the other day and I can’t find those heads anywhere? I have the Roland 27KV2 and want to play a lot quieter cause of neighbors and thought those would be perfect. Any other recommendations if no more?
Edrums with shells are a dumb idea to me. Help me out if I'm missing something here, but if I have to lug all that gear around, I might as well stick to acoustic..no electric kit will EVER match the dynamics, and if I must choose which heavy and bulky kit to lug around, it's going to be acoustic...besides all that, I'd rather retain the dynamics of the acoustic kit and just set triggers up for electronic sounds I may want or even just run regular mics through my DAW..edrums are overrated and wasteful to me
I have a basic electric vdrums, I wouldn't trade it for any acoustic set no matter what the standard or price, they're just too loud, same for my electric guitars vs acoustic guitars, just plug in and play and or record
tama pancake for me. how well does the fast tuning work? i want very different tension from top to bottom skin to fight overtones caused when too similar. Is this an issue here? are top and bottom tuned the same simultaneously? very cool stuff tho all around. impressive. thanks.
Good that you finally discovered Yamahas TCS heads:) They have been around for well over a decade and I have played and recorded on my DTX900 daily since 2011. Still like new and on many releases. I would never go for mesh heads again.
You have Firchie drumm snare! Firci's snare works on the rototome principle. This with cables and rollers is like going to construction work! Firci's solution is a hundred times simpler.
I like the Moises app, but can upload, for example, a Led Zeppelin song? 10:00 - I love the quick-tune drums too. I only wish this was available when I used to play drums.
Ok that fast tuning system looks amazing assuming the vibration doesn't loosen it any faster than traditional systems. Also, ideally you'd want two separate systems for batter and reso heads.
Our braided stainless steel cable is extremely strong, and we have never had one fail! However, if the cable was somehow damaged through abuse or neglect, you can replace it in just a few minutes - the process is very similar to changing a guitar string.
the electric drums have a problem, you can out drum the modules, makes missing beats when you try fast drumming. Reaction time and bounce is the main thing with electric. I have been around long before electric drums, i can tell the difference between acoustic drums and electric especially the cymbals just by listening
Gotta watch out for ZackGrooves when he escapes from his room; He'll try and sell you a cursed Meinl.
Bro had me dead 😂
Been in many a arguments with him. He's easy to get worked up. Lol
As a drummer myself I just love looking at different kinds of drums because drums are life and all these sets were awesome🙂
That tiny shallow Tama club kit is perfect for an electronic conversion.
WTS is amazing ! They are really "fast tuning drums".
Looks like rope drums from revolutionary war days

Thanks, appreciate that. I am looking for some compact drums. Good to get to hear some.
Getting back into drumming after a few years away and just wanted to say hi to my fellow percussion kings! 10:24 that quick tuning setup is wild!
That quick tuning kit is great
Thank you for taking your time to share an inside look at what is out there .
Thanks to you for watching!
The fast tuning is soooo tempting!
Well those sticks give a whole new meaning to "Air Drumming" hahahah
I got the Yamaha dtx 8k a few weeks ago with the TCS pads and in my opinion they feel incredible! Love your videos!!
Wow congrats! They feel awesomeee! Thank u so much!

Thank you for sharing this man, I have a jobeky setup with Roland td27 but it's so great to see the many possibilities out there.
Glad you like it! The possibilities are endless!
That cymbal gadget looks so cool! (insert fairy tail wow sound voice here)
Nope

Awesome bro! 🔥🥁👊🏻
You are awesome!
Bro, those outfits how had on at the show were sick man.
Thank u so much brooo!
Bro! Dude! Gnarley!
If you could pair the free drum with vr it would be a match made in heaven
I can not choose which was my favorite! I bet, that was an awesome trip!!!
It was an amazing trip! Too many drums!
Awesome and beautiful performance bro ❤️❤️❤️
Thank u so much bro!
Thank you for posting this they didn't send me to Namm this year to cover it and I am glad to see such smart coverage - Thank You
I bet you had an amazing time at The NAMM show
It was an amazing experience!
I have the first generation of Freedrum, it takes a little bit to figure it out and get used to it but very cool and you can take it anywhere
Tama's pancake sounds way better than the trap drum kit...
Cool video! The Fast Tuning drums are definitely a game changer but, without knowing more about them, they also look like they add a whole new level of headache for changing heads!
craziest drums ever!!!!!!! that thumbnail was insane, playing drum with editing is insane.
The traps kit is awesome. Play it as is or put some triggers or mics on it for more tonal options through a DAW
The silicone drums were insane! You can find all those drums in the web!
Thanks

any drum kit that you would highly recommend in the 1500-1800 range? should i wait for any of these new namm models to be released? thanks!
Great compilation! Thank you so much for including us in your lineup and especially for visiting our booth!
You are the clear winner! I would give whatever they call the on/off sizzlers second. But your system is insane!!

"who always wanted to hear a dream theatre song with just the vocals alone".. haha, mr. Rudess, nice one
The Beatbox looks so cool! I’m going to have to watch more on it.
Tama execs, “how can we save on production costs?”
Hungry young staffer, “what if we cut the shells in half?”
Execs-“give this kid a 3% raise, we don’t want to cut into the savings from our half drums”
That Tama set looked very much like the Remo Legero set that I purchased in the mid-90's.
@@bobbarron6969 imho this kit sound like a child’s toy. It’s horrible.
damn zack is so good at drums
Those invisible drums seem like a cool gimmick, but you're not gonna learn drumming without the feel, and especially without any and all rebound.
Hiya Alejandro! The thing you don't know at 8:34, those screws are called rivets! The gadget that holds them could be like a rivets holder/anchor(?)... I tried Googling it and I don't see anything 😅 Anywho, great video! Saludos desde Puerto Rico! 👋🇵🇷
