We have a male who is 139 lbs, our big beautiful teddy bear! He is very sweet and cuddly but VERY protective, I think even more so than our traditional female shepherd. I can confirm the vocalness, LOL, he makes noise allll the time! He will go outside and just bark with joy, running around and "talking". Then he'll also "moan" and "groan" a lot for some reason. One issue we have is skin allergies, he's had trouble with that from day one. The shedding is insane and he will moan and groan a lot when being brushed and combed, LOL. But we love him to bits, he is nearing ten so not sure how much more time we have left with him. It will be heartbreaking to lose him!
I am excited to see a band of puppies and test them soon! I am hoping a King Sheperd from a good breeder will be a good service pup. I need a pup slightly larger than a shepherd who is calmer because I have ptsd among some other issues that require a service puppers. All the research I've done on this breed makes me think it will be the ideal choice.
Mine don't have the long coat. But he's a big bruiser. And very calm sorta lazy. Got him,at the pound. He was skinny but still huge. I just had to have him and give him,a goid home
Lost myn last year at 12 he was an absolute beauty, soft as a brush and so loving, left a void in my heart that will never be replaced ❤️
