I have easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials "do it yourself" (DIY) videos to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers and zero turn mowers.
I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.
Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like a chainsaw, weed eater, weed whacker, string trimmer, grass trimmer, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, strimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, or four stroke, four cycle units like a lawnmower, wood splitter, lawn tractor, zero turn mower, snowblower, pressure washer, generator or a ride on mower that needs parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.
My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.
I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.
I have the largest Small Engine Repair Video Library on RUclips and the entire internet with over 1200 videos, just GOOGLE "DONYBOY73"!
I want "DON THE SMALL ENGINE DOCTOR" on RUclips to save you time, frustration and most importantly, MONEY with my HOW-TO videos!

Nice job Donyboy, your machine is working perfectly as expected. I'm in the Buffalo NY metropolitan area and it's been snowing with extremely high winds since Friday morning. It's going to continue through early Sunday morning. There is a driving ban that's been in effect since Friday, I'm waiting for the blizzard to stop so I can get everything cleaned up but it's a waste of time going out there now as the wind is blowing the snow everywhere. Thanks for the video.

Don, the one thing a share with my customers, family and friends is to spray the entire intake, impeller and chute with WD40 or even PAM cooking spray before going out. The build up is less and makes the machine work way more efficiently. I buy WD40 by the gallon and have used it for years. The other benefit is the anti corrosion to the machine. Food for thought! Great video again. Have a Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy-Healthy New Year my friend!

Was rolling along with my 2y old Honda 928, which, thanks to the knowledge I gleaned from your channel has been impeccably maintained. All of a sudden everything stops. I knew gas was low so I’ll try that … no luck … flooded? No … on RUclips there are a million complicated explanations. Then I remember you discussing this in one of videos - yep, blocked augur …. And thankfully the pins were intact. I am certainly no pro, but I know a hell of a lot more than I ever did about small engines thx to you … and I’m still learning.

Few tips. You cut the snow from the middle of the driveway and then blow down the driveway on one side, and from the street you blow on the opposite side, so you avoid blowing over the cleared area. You blow always over the uncleaned snow - inside out. Also, you blow as much snow as you can from the house down the driveway or sideways first, then you blow it with the discharge chute on 11h or 13h from the driveway (inside out over uncleaned snow- then you can do chute on 11h ans 13 h; or you do 7h or 17h going towards garage) - so you push as much snow from the house as possible. When snow melts - better.

    Hi Donny,
On that particular model Ariens blower it sure would be nice if you could adjust the chute flapper a bit more down.seems that it doesnt go far enough for my needs.I have houses that are close to my drive.
Thinking about a spacer on the cable connection.
    Any ideas please.
Thanks for all you do for us.

What, no reverse on your personal snow blower? :) Have you done/tried any of the paddle improvements shown on youtube? Thanks for reminding me why I put up with ridiculous government/laws/politicians and super high prices here in CA/San Diego. Sunny, 76° (24.4 C) today.
