You my friend have all aspects of reviewing a RC aircraft down to a fine science. All the camera angels with muliple cameras (a drone view too), graphics (pointing arrows), narration, editing, exposure, volume control, flying field conditions and flying skills are absolutely as professional as it gets!
Hello Captain, I did a very thorough checklist and realized that the cable connected to the receiver was connected with reversed polarity, after correcting everything it worked perfectly and I already did a flight test, everything went fine. Thank you for your information and teachings. Thank you and big hug.
I have been watching you since the days of the Phantom 4 Drone. Your explanation of everything is informative and inspiring. Because of you, I purchased and still have the Phantom 4 Obsidian Version.
My father was one of the design engineers that worked on the original UH-1H for Bell helicopter. He passed away in 2012 at age 87 may he rest in peace.
That is fantastic! A GPS, user friendly out of the box helicopter! I honestly tried to guess how much it would cost and my guess was $1200.00 U.S.. I was pleasantly surprised to see it is under $800! That is very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. I can't wait for the manual flight video! Thanks for the great video and making us all want one of these beastly copters!
Hello captain, I want to know if I take off with this model in manual mode and stay afloat for a while and then switch to automatic GPS mode and the return home function, will it return to the takeoff location?
This is even more expensive then that coast guard gps/fpv heli you reviewed earlier. For this price and size it should be fully automated to fly away and bring me back some tacos.
I watched the movie Easy Rider while sitting on a bench made from Huey helicopter blades near Quang Tri, Vietnam in 1971. The blades or props were from crashed, shot- down or otherwise damaged helicopters. The whole outdoor movie theatre had these props which were painted canary yellow and mounted on cinder blocks.
Hello Captain, I'm flying until the flight battery has around 3.85v in each cell so as not to wear out the battery so much. This generates an autonomy of 10 minutes. What do you think?
Beautiful reproduction and would hold my interest for about an hour of flying after that I would go back to my drones. Little steep on the price, but am sure it would perfect for the purest of helicopter fans. Thanks for the video😊
Hi, this machine looks really nice in the air but somehow for me as a traditional collective pitch RC heli pilot it was so rewarding to learn to fly these things by myself. Of course it took a lot of time, patience, practicing and perserverance to learn flying my helis. But at least for me the way was the goal. Maybe not when crashed often and broke my birds... but from todays perspectice it is great to have learned flying from the first few "hops". But for sure its good that things are a bit easier now. Hope the technology never fails.
Hello Captain, I went to my place today where I have a very large and interference-free airfield and carried out the process of activating the helicopter. I turned the transmitter on with all the buttons forward, connected the battery to the helicopter, waited for the servos to position themselves, put the GPS button on but the red light continued to flash quickly for several minutes, which indicates a lack of communication between TX and RX, correct? I did the binding procedure (conxion) but it didn't help. The transmitter display showed the process for several minutes but did not complete or show OK. What do you think and what should I do? Please give me a hand.
On your transmitter remote screen, does it show the black battery voltage for both TX and RX when transmitter/heli are powered on? If so you are connected. If not then follow binding instructions.
Great review Steve. Can you tell me if you can install an FPV camera on it. I can't fly LOS so I need to know if you can install an FPV camera like a Walksnail HD system. Thank you.
This is good if you are new to the hobby as you get everything included But if you already have all the equipment and want an easy to fly scale model it's expensive. I have a trex 500 fbl and purchased a scale fuselage and the H1 controller they sell flies well It's bigger no noisy tail motor and was cheaper.
I want to order the v3. There's different versions available. I need the complete set up and I'm right handed. But don't know which one to order. Any advice?
When I look at the flywing uh-1, v3, it has the options to order the RTF mode 1 or RTF mode 2. So if I want the throttle on the left side stick . Should I order the RTF mode 2 one? Cause for some reason the mode 1 RTF is a little more money. I don't know the difference to which w one I should order. Also there are different companies that sell the same brand through Amazon . I don't know who I should chose. Can you help me with that . Please . I'm lost. Lol
What would happen if you were flying in gps mode and lost the signal , would it go into fail safe and return to home or would it become uncontrollable ?
The Detail is fantastic, but the tail rotor is on the wrong side for that model of the huey. nit picky i know but still a fact. they put it on the right side when the N Model came out that's the twin engine one.
Works out of the box. I suggest not messing with any config files until you’ve flown it a few times. That way you’ll know for certain if after you played with the config file you made things worse or better.
I don’t see why not. But logic tells me that if you spent money on BAT SAFE then you’d be wise to own an RC Hobby battery charger like everyone in the RC Hobby so that you can charge, balance faster and then discharge or store unused batteries.
None. I have six FLY WING helis of all types and all fly and function perfectly (no issues so far). Usually the people that have are issues are the people with no RC hobby or RC helicopter knowledge or the ones with no skills that crash their helicopter and then blame the helicopter.
Well that’s awesome to hear. I have a ton of experience with Large scale RC trucks, cars and motorcycles but I have never flown anything by watching your videos on the Huey. It definitely sped interest. Mine will be getting to me on March 25. I’m looking forward to the experience other than reading the manual thoroughly. Are there. Any suggestions of things? I should check before my first flight. Also, do you know of any sites where you can get pilot figures etc. for this chopper and thank you for your response
I would love to have one but being retired and on a fixed income I just can't afford it at $735.08 U.S.! Why is the FAA doing everything that they can to restrict these?
I would bet that due to weight and pendulum effect this would make for a very good camera drone. Betting that if flown in manual mode would be like a gimble....noisy main gear though
I built about a half meter styofoam fuselage and wrapped it with orange packing tape and it won't break even if bent hard . Inside i put a bugs 3 with the legs on it . If you pretend it looks like a real model helicopter .
R/C Helicopters have come along way indeed . Simplicity, stability , equal success !

I just got mine today and it is an awesome heli. Another great video Steve. Will be watching the flying duo, Captain and Jedi, in part 2! 🤠🤠
i like the little start up gyration on the swash plate

The manual flight video can be viewed at any time. Just search for Part 2.
Hello captain, I want to know if I take off with this model in manual mode and stay afloat for a while and then switch to automatic GPS mode and the return home function, will it return to the takeoff location?
Yes. The GPS runs in the background the entire time the helicopter is powered on.
This is even more expensive then that coast guard gps/fpv heli you reviewed earlier. For this price and size it should be fully automated to fly away and bring me back some tacos.
This is extremely large and powerful compared to the coast guard heli
Yes Sir ! I like 👍
Hi Steve....That's quite the Helicopter. Love the size if it..........👍
I have flown it and it's great 👍

Well done done Captain!; what a great looking Copter !; also, glad to see you are on a "Permanent Vacation" !!!!!

Operator, head space & timings
I have a problem with my Flw wing UH-1V 3
Hello captain, can we change the GPS and manual flight modes while the helicopter is flying?
Yes
Can you make a review about the eachine e200 blackhawk helicopter?
Such a fantastic review - just ordered!
I’m sure you’re gonna love it!
It's awesome - a great way to build your confidence if you want to continue to advance to more advanced heli's!@@CAPTAINDRONE798
Fun video ! 😃
Watched it twice.
I would paint the landing skid o.d. Green.
Great review Steve !
Very nice well done video on this helicopter model. Thanks!
Like the heli I was born in veitnam years, lot of history that will be my next heli...good job brother 👍🇺🇸🇨🇱✌️
Nice to see a helicopter, like the rota sound as it turns off. Great build. 👍
Hello Captain, does the GPS of this model work here in Brazil normally without problems, without needing configuration?
It is an international GPS, works anywhere
I finally just delivered mine. The new v3. Your right. It's very cool. 👍. Thanks for the honest reviews. I made sure I put the blades on right . Lol
Enjoy!
That looks like so much fun.........you need the music from Apocalypse Now playing from it

I bought 1 this is so cool looking I hope it works out ! I'll buy another! Great 👍
Oh my thanks for the video I seriously want this helicopter it handles so well

Awesome video and editing as always Steve!
Thanks again!
Nice video very well done thank you
As always, great video! Do you have a video referencing your mic + camera setup? I really like these viewing angles.
I list all my gear below each video
What I want to know is if instead of putting the switch in gps to take off I can put the switch in return or 3d to take off?
Hell NO!
Looks insane sounds good
Hello Captain, to do inverted flight do you have to activate the inverted flight switch and the GPS or the inverted flight switch and the 3D?
You need to go in the software and enable it. Then you can fly high and select the invert switch.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you
Thank you
Hello Captain, I'm accessing the Flywing website but I can't find the link to calibrate the compass to download it, can you help me with this please?
East… go back to the website and look for all their helpful videos. You’ll find it.
Does someone know where i can get model figures for the heli..!? Greetings from germany...Jan😊
Nice Video Steve enjoyed watching. Its outside my fun budget.
Nice review, beautiful scale rc heli. My favorite helicopter. Thanks for the video review!
Good review Steve
awsome review captain.
would this be suitable for a beginner and what is the maximum flying time..thank you
It is designed for beginners when flown in GPS mode. Flight time is based on battery size used (watch the video again)
I want to order the v3. There's different versions available. I need the complete set up and I'm right handed. But don't know which one to order. Any advice?
The radio is set to Mode 2. Mode 2 means your throttle is on the left joystick which is the most common.
Oh ok..Thanks for the info

Hello friend Captain, if I use another brand of battery will the autonomy be the same or does this autonomy only happen with a flywing battery?
You can use any battery you like that is the same voltage
Hello Captain, sorry I didn't express myself correctly, I wanted to ask if I can take off in return mode to the starting point or 3d?
Sorry, I don’t understand your question
My uh1 will be in this Friday, did you have hook the helicopter to the computer to change any head speed or anything else before flight?
Works out of the box. I suggest not messing with any config files until you’ve flown it a few times. That way you’ll know for certain if after you played with the config file you made things worse or better.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thank you so much, I have learned so much from all of your videos keep up the great work 👍🏽😝
Why don't they have the rotor blades spin the correct way? As a former UH-1 pilot, that drives me nuts. 🤨
Can you please do more fpv drone reviews. Really good content, keep it up
Hi steve, i know this isnt related to this cool helicopter. Do u have the dji mini 2 se and is it good, love the channnel.
All DJI mini drones are excellent

Hello Captain, I want to know how to configure the GPS of this helicopter
Watch the video on the Fly Wing website
Great review, thanks 👍🏻
Wait for revet around fuslage. (May be version 4)
So if I'm doing maintenance on the bench and want to test the engine rotations without the blades, do I have to set it to ATT mode?
Not really. All stability mode does is keeps the heli level. If it’s on a bench and not moving then the stability can’t kick in.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Ok, thank you
Hello Captain, can I use a 3s battery directly on this model without making changes to the settings?
Yes, but it probably would not get off the ground
Thank you ❤
Tried to go to the website to buy it and didn’t look like I was able?
Could be a bad connection. Amazon and the website are certainly live.
can you use bat safe with its charger?
I don’t see why not. But logic tells me that if you spent money on BAT SAFE then you’d be wise to own an RC Hobby battery charger like everyone in the RC Hobby so that you can charge, balance faster and then discharge or store unused batteries.
Why white landing gear? I like the new gear better, but please mold them with black plastic.
I love these large scale modern models. Justifying $800 in today's manufacturing seems a tad overboard.
Everything RC has become much more expensive due to improvements in tech and costs of components.
GPS Activated but will not motor start
Thank you
Great review once again my friend! Like always.,anyway.,don't forget to look into the new walkera t210 mini, we won't be disappointed 😅! GOD bless..
can you fly inverted or 3D?
Yes, but you have to enable it on the software. Out of the box it is in beginner mode.
