    It's so good the way you explain is amazing. However, if you could explain bit slower. Although I am doing revison after long time, I had to write the whole Jacob monod experiment myself on notebook to get it. 😂😊

      Thanks, Prince. I agree with you and other viewers that it is fast. The material covered here could easily be made into a 1 or 2 hour lecture. But, who would look at at 60 min video on RUclips? The video is a condensed presentation. Nonetheless, a couple of extra minutes might greatly enhance understanding and I may revise this video in the future. In the mean time, I apologize for the speed. I have two suggestions. One, you can reduce video speed by clicking on the setting wheel on the lower right. Alternatively, one may use the pause button and make sure that any statement makes sense. Last, writing it down as you did is a great idea and will help learning.

    question : can the AMPc that enhaces the expression of the lactose degradation enzymes in the operon lac be considered a trans regulating element or are those only proteins ?

      cAMP is not a trans regulator because it does not bind DNA per se. Proteins are the typical trans-regulators because they can develop complex specificity, such as binding the operator. Like allolactose and its analog IPTG, cAMP affects proteins that bind DNA. It is an effector.
