KIA EV9 gets 300 miles with a 100 kwh battery. 230 miles in 2024/2025 for $60k+ is not a good value. If they released this in 4-5 years ago, it would have be acceptable. Now if it can charge 200kw up to 70%, then that's a different story, but we know it won't.
I’m one of those people that wants to see at least 250 miles of range so I’m a little disappointed. Yes it’s a brick but the EV 9 doesn’t look too slippery to me either, and they did put a bigger battery in it. However that said, I think the ID Buzz will sell well initially as it is the world’s first cool Minivan and an EV to boot. One has to wonder why it’s taken so long to get here as it’s been available in the European smaller version for quite a while. Maybe VW should give it a nostalgia mode where the speed going up steep hills is limited to 20 mph and it breaks down and leaves you stranded in Albuquerque.
I’ve been driving a 2015 i3 for the past six years. Any EV with 200+ mile range will be a revelation. I’ll be able to drive to the beach on a charge. I follow a couple international BUZZ group. With SWB smaller batteries, people who don’t drive boring 70 mph highways get more than the published range. I’m already a shunpiker with the i3 and my old Porsche. I’m looking forward to it!!
I LOVE MY ID 4 AND WILL LOVE MY NEW BUZZ. I have a charger in my garage so no problem for every day use the 4 or the buzz will work great. I figure on a long trip you need to take a break every 180 to 200 miles anyway so I have no problem with the range esp if we can improve the charging systems. Anyway can't wait for the New BUZZZZZZZZ!!!
The 2025 VW ID. Buzz's starting price is too high, and with a range of 234 (RWD) / 231 (AWD), it does have the interior space of a legit vehicle 3-row vehicle, but its price point is the major problem, followed by its range
This whole video is about how this vehicle sucks, and I am inclined to agree. I am still vaguely interested, but I will DEFINITELY let someone else beta test this thing……
It's so late. VW would have crushed the market with this two years ago. But again VW us late. Where is ID7? ID4 on SSP? Where is Q6 e-tron. VW can't get anything to market fresh.
I REALLY liked the Buzz when we first heard of it. When I was younger and hanging out at the lake with a small sailboat and a few friends, this would have been the perfect ride to fill with bikes, some camping gear and drag my small sailboat to the lake for the weekend to hang out and have fun. That's not my life these days, my tastes tends to move towards smaller cars, and even if I didn't I'd still rather trade the interior space for a lower price and a bit more range. For me, the ID Buzz feels more like the Cybertruck, something you get when you REALLY want to stand out. I think I'll just remember the words of an old VW ad, "Think Small."

That's the biggest shocker for me, a Kia that's cheaper literally has better range. What was VW thinking?
Agreed. The price and range compared to what the EV9 can do, which is comparable in terms of seats and space, makes a lot more sense.

It's a niche market for the Buzz. But I like it. Just way out of my range for what I can afford.
Totally agree. This was not meant to be a wide market appeal vehicle. Those who want it will get it, otherwise this will have low sales unfortunately.
People are crying about the range but im hung up on why you cant get 7 seats with AWD.
Ahahahahahaha 🤣

"X"? Do you mean Twitter. Please, no X.
Yes Twitter 🤣🤣🤣
I’d rather not be on X, but there is an audience there. I’ve recently start also posting on threads.

Agreeable first look! No camping options? Id4 is good except the battery, but that’s because it’s more luxurious than a Tesla.
