- This Eurofighter Typhoon Jet (ZK320 - FGR4) rockets out of Liverpool John Lennon Airport on Saturday 19th September 2015. The pilot executes an incredible performance takeoff! This Typhoon was heading for the 2015 Southport Airshow which would have been less than a 5 minute flight along the coast! Local spectators and spotters gathered at the end of runway 27 awaiting its delayed departure.
Thanks for watching!

I never tire of just how quickly Typhoons bugger off into the sky. It's been 25 years and it still impresses me like no other jet.
One of the fighter jets with the best thrust to weight ratio ever 🗿🔝🛩️💨
the engineers who projected it did an awesome job
Climbs like a homesick angel
I remember going to an air show in May or June in the early 2000's at Elvington near York. It was a perfect day, blue skies, no cloud whatsoever & around 22 degrees ! A Typhoon came just for a brief visit before it was due to go into service with the RAF. The pilot pulled it up right next to where I was on the airfield & it went up & up & up til I couldn't see it anymore then it disappeared gone !
The Typhoon looks like it's flying even when it's taxiing! Simply beautiful!
Yep, Simply Beautiful Indeed. That’s an excellent description, there. Thank you, Sir!
@@angelogandolfo6374 what sort of bomb is she carrying in undercarriage
@@zerodarkthirty1045
Hi, I’m not a total expert, but as far as I’m aware, bombs would usually go under the wings, not belly, and it is not loaded here. They would be usually “Paveway” bombs, or other small (500lb max) munition. Under the be belly would go a bunker busting J-DAM type, but I must say, this one looks like an extra fuel tank to me, no a bomb......
@@zerodarkthirty1045 fuel tank
Even after seeing it a few times over the years it's still amazing. They get off the deck so quickly. Even more impressive is when they leave the runway and immediately pull straight up.
Only a few planes in the world have a positive thrust to weight ratio.
Basically able to accelerate whilst full vertical.
@@Jasontvnd9 MiG-29 can do it too, it's impressive
@@Jasontvnd9
It doesn't only depend on the engine, but also on how heavily loaded the plane is with fuel and weapons.
In terms of physics it becomes thrust vs. gravity. In a fully vertical climb a jet is essentially behaving like a rocket. I believe the F15 was the first to be able to actually do it, but she also has much more powerful engines (happy to be corrected). The canards on the nose of the Typhoon allow her to still create some lift even when 'vertical' which helps the thrust = gravity equation.
@@trottergraeme EEL and BAC Lightnings were doing it before the F15's were on the drawing board
I've seen the typhoon a few times in my life, but one occasion at Dartmouth, the event's commentator informed the onlooking crowd that the jet was on its way but they weren't sure what direction it was coming in from. We were stood on the local train station platform with a 50 foot cliff face directly behind us and all of a sudden, it appeared right over our heads. The after burn sound literally shook our bones. It was absolutely breathtaking! Once in a lifetime experience!
I could watch Typhoons take off and climb vertically all day, it never gets old!
yep unlike us ;-(
Physics was probably a little complacent after a billion years of getting its own way. I’m sure it will put up more of a fight next time around!
You forgot to mention plus one headbanging pilot at the controls and "LUCIFER CAME OUT TO PLAY"
An ex RAF Pilot who was lucky enough to have flown the Lightening the F15 and the Typhoon was asked which aircraft had the greatest rate of climb? The interviewer then prodded him and said come on it must have been the lightening? He replied " The Typhoon by FAR!!. The F15 and the lightening couldn't touch it" It had far the fastest rate of climb! Its a beast, but most people don't think of it like that" The pilot added " out of all the planes I have flown on exchange and a test pilot, nothing comes close to the sheer thrust and power of the Typhoon!"
F22 é molto più potente
@@Alexklk-realsdogshistoryes: It so isn't.
I love the tearing sound that the afterburners make!
Typhoon fantastic plane RAF powerful 🇬🇧 welcome to Chile 🇨🇱❤️🇬🇧
Love this video absolutely brilliant. If you got a typhoon chasing you then basically you're screwed
Love it that unique sound from them ej200 engines I recognize it anywhere. Brilliant footage👍👍
Unbelievable acceleration.
Yes Jeff
Does Typhoon have possibly the fastest acceleration among all 4+Gen fighter jets? I've seen many F-15 takeoffs but none of them comes close to beating the Typhoon.

Thanks for posting this video; it is nicely shot and you managed to record some noise. I saw one at the Scottish Airshow in East Lothian and boy when you hear the roar of those engines it makes you feel ALIVE!
The RAF is back ladies and gentlemen
Absolutely AWESOME! What a treat you were given, can only imagine how much better that experience was for you live! We very much enjoyed this one COG!! :-D
+Traveller I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm not really a fan of military aviation but this was amazing!
We are not big fans either, but yes this was truly an amazing takeoff to watch! Enjoy your weekend :-D
Traveller You too!
Ah 29 Sqdn, my old sqdn and I was brought up near Speke Airport
Gravity, what? Oh, that silly old thing, bugger that! Cheerio!

Beautiful....!
That was awesome! Liked a lot - one of your best videos, so far!
+99carnot Thanks so much!
that was incredible to actually SEE the rate of acceleration
Take a pair of engines, simply attach some wings, and place a seat at the front. Holy moly.
Love this aircraft. Amazing video
That's an amazing fighter, and it looks awesome
How unreal is it that it seems to get hella faster when he goes vertical. Insane.
Please don’t say hella

at the RAAF 2007 Air Show in Adelaide, South Australia, there was some spirited low level tight turning flying and the public announcement system had the commentator on who suggested they switch to the pilot's channel...
Cue "Firestarter- the Prodigy"..this young kid (we were told that he was 23) was throwing around a $40m jet like he stole it...when he'd finished his thing, the PA had the usual top gun bullshit playing- and he was three finger rock band saluting everyone as he rolled by.
it was freaking awesome actually..
lovely typhoon jet huge fan of the delta jets 😊😊
Le rafale est bien meilleur
@@pierrickdevaud5696 No it's not.
@@BedtimeStoriesChannel 2 great planes but I think the rafale is indeed a better overall jet

Amazing machine, very short distance to take off
That’s a thing of beauty

Beautiful!
Horse power, incarnate, the hand of God !
Es casi un despegue vectorial de motores, pero al parecer es aprovechar al máximo las alas delta y la aletas canards! MAravilloso!
nice rides enjoy and keepsafe
There are Eurofighter jets in Germany which trains often over us. The sound of these jets are incredible and they are really agile. I love them. But SU 35 is the bird :)
Take off & climb seems almost effortlessl.
That is impressive.
DELTA WINGED CANARD PERFECTION 🗿🔝🛩️
can't wait till this comes to DCS
Really awesome video mate! Liked!

Cessna pilots at 1:45 must be like 'how do we follow that' 😂
Callum Wilkinson they’re 2 pa28’s not Cessnas
You don't.. lol. Unless you want to get blown out of the sky for even being behind it in a PA28
You wait 2 minutes for recommended spacing for wake turbulence ;)
The best fighter. Never done that.
wow
Espectacular!
Reminds me of the English Electric Lightning doing exactly the same thing but in the 1960's.
Superb Catch bud, these things make some noise.

October 2014 one sunny evening a Typhoon literally ripped up Bristol on full power stopping traffic and frightening everyone. Something was happening that night but who knows what.
Happened in Rome as well! I remember my mom had called police thinking that a bomb exploded nearby
Roborav because of the supersonic boom a lot of the time people think a bomb or gunshots have gone off
@Roborav butthats what he is saying, they werent informed of it and more often than not urban areas are nogo zones for flying supersonic as the booms can shatter windows and damage its surroundings
Hats off to them.
Not often you see an aircraft do that at Liverpool Airport
Awesome video
Thanks!

Ryanair: Hold my Beer.
It's just me who thinks that the aerodinamic of that deposit is a little weird? It doesn't look paralel to the plane, but a little fallen or off the hook.
Brakes-off to supersonic in under 30 seconds and brakes-off to Mach 1.6 at 36,000 feet in less than 150 seconds. Now that's a plane!

John Lennon airport? Hmmm,..... wonder if in the U.S.A. they have a John Denver airp.... 😳!!! ...probably not. Greetings from Germany.
Euro fighter Typhoons are one of the best fighter jets....But they are not used in any air to air combat
They are during exercises. As for real life/death air-air engagements. They haven't had any... yet. 😉

Spain will buy between 30 and 40 of these wonderful aircraft, ( 2025 ) for its base in the Canary Islands( spa), also due to the exponential and dangerous increase for Spain of weapons coming from the US of a very high level and in large quantities, the conflict is worrisome and Spain's oil and its territorial waters are in dispute, sorry for my English, from Spain 🇪🇦🇪🇺, a greeting to al
well done Spain .

Only the English Electric was more breath taking than that but still impressive
next hand bone of IAF , typhoon with tvc for india
not full performance with a belly tank . in clean configuration , it is less than 9 seconds to take off
Even with 2 tanks slung under it. A Typhoon can go straight up into a vertical climb, 8sec from break release.

And why is that... You don't think that an F-22 can't perform a vertical climb. Then you obviously don't know much...lol.
jonathan wright most aircraft can do a vertical climb.. they just can't sustain it. The Eurofighter can sustain a vertical climb much longer.
