My dad has it for his work car and we love it. It’s very spacious the trunk fits a lot of stuff. It does look small but it definitely fits a lot of stuff because he has to carry around tools and stuff to fix machines and stuff so he carries around a lot of big stuff in his car and it works out good and it’s the same car you test drove.
I’m with you Brit! I don’t care for all the bells and whistles! Give me a vehicle that goes in drive and you have to brake!!🤣🤣🤣🤣I’m old school too Brit!♥️
We have two Tesla’s because we love them so much!! We have the model 3 and the model Y! We got the 3rd row in the Y too so that I can get all my daughter’s friends in the car. It seats 7! Plus, I’ll have room for grandkids later on when my girls get married. It doesn’t take long to get used to how to drive the car either. Get it!!
We have Tesla model y for 3 years from now and I love it ❤️ never go back again . We have had no problems with it and we live in Finland with cold and snowy winters. By the way back trunk have double trunk you just have to lift up the thing 😊
I love the tesla model Y, had one for three years. I drive an hour each way to watch my grandkids. Pros, it cost us about $30 a month to charge at home. Did great in the snow. It just wasn’t big enough for the 3 child car seats I have to have for the kids. I also had the 7 seater which is the biggest waste of money. And the front is a bug graveyard. Constantly having to clean it. I traded it in for a 2024 Toyota sienna Platinum. I love it too.
I recently purchased a white on white model y in August. I love love love my car. I got used to the one pedal driving within a week. Once you get used to it, you wonder why you ever drove any other way. Plus I love waking up to a “full tank” every morning. This car is great. Low to no maintenance.
I have a white model y and we love it. We take hockey sticks and bags- the rear is bigger than you think! Change the driving mode to chill and it’s not as harsh stopping.
Might be a dream and fun to drive. Cars are expensive enough-and if you are trying to be frugal, a Tesla is not the way to go. And because it is so much more expensive, the cost of repairs are a ton more expensive too! Glad you had fun driving it though. And oh my goodness-it didn’t stop at the 4 way stop!!! I am a Toyota owner. Highlander is 9+ years old. NEVER required a repair-we make sure to do all the recommended maintenance. I will be so sad when it is no longer driveable-hopefully years from now!
My son has a Tesla and he has his car temperature set to not overheat. The A/c kicks on and keeps it cool even when parked and charging. His sits outside every day and he lives in Virginia Beach. The car will direct you to super charging stations that only take 10 min to charge if you are traveling.
@@muriellelebel9567 They are warranted for 8 years or 120,000 miles. They will probably last much longer than that. Our Tesla has over 120,000 and very little change range. The battery is fine.
Driving a tesla is like in-learning everything we were taught to begin driving …. Watching out for other vehicles, checking our side and back mirrors, braking, …. So much stuff! If a Tesla’s in someone’s future you do sort of need to re-learn all the things that have become instinctive to us and how we drive.
We have two Teslas (model y and model x) and have driven across the country in them several times. Charging takes a more time than using a gas car, but we like to get out and walk around, watch Netflix or go the bathrrom while we’re charging. There’s definitely a learning curve to them. We love them! The self driving feature is truly amazing and we use it all the time. The white interior isn’t leather. I’m pretty sure it’s vinyl and wipes down really well. We have white interors in both and the Tesla we’ve had for three years looks new with just a little wear in the driver side. There’s more storage under the trunk area that you missed. Regenerative braking is also a learning curve. You can use your foot brake anytime you need to. Sidenote- we were driving in Wyoming going 85mph and hydroplaned and spun out. Look at their safety records. The Tesla didn’t flip because of its low center of gravity with the batteries on the bottom of the car. I want to add to my comment that our model x saved our lives just this past Sunday!! A driver who was on something (he’s now in jail for dui) and driving in our lane, heading straight toward us, ran into us and we had a head on collision. I was driving and my husband and I were both able to immediately get out of the wrecked car and walk around. When we went to look at the wrecked car the day after, it was really sobering to see how bad the wreck was. The front was all smashed in and ripped off. My husband only had minor bruises and a cut. Seriously, the Tesla saved our lives AGAIN and kept us safe.
We have a Y and I really like it. It's more my husband's car than mine, but I love driving it when I get the chance. I'm not a fan of the self driving. Don't forget about the extra storage in the back! :)
Okay you need to get the Tesla! I freaking love it! I love the grey! If you don’t get it I just might not watch you anymore 🤣 I am totally 1000% kidding about not watching you guys anymore I am completely serious about you needing to get the Tesla the colour, the interior I love all of it! Get it get it get it!!!!
She did so good. I 100% I refuse to do the self driving too. My husband loves his Tesla. It’s not as smooth as I’d like for me. We have the Model 3, and the Cadillac Lyric. It’s so much smoother of a ride.
Brittany you need to stand up to Jared and not give into always what he wants. If you get a Tesla I hope if you ever have a chance for a family, you might consider not going on any trips until the child is older because you will have to stop and get the car charged when you find a charger. Just something to think about.
The Tesla interface in the car has all of the charging stops clearly visible and it’s super easy to find and their charging network is always expanding. We’ve driven across the country several times in our Tesla.
We currently have one and we love it. It does take a lot of getting used to but it's really cool. What we did was we leased ours for 2 years. In case we didn't like it, then we would only be into it for 2 years. That would be my suggestion to you, if you're gonna get one

I would NEVER drive that car! I want control when I'm driving. Not going to trust a machine to drive for me. I have owned Sorentos for over 10 years. Love it!!
Britt, I’m with you. I would be a nervous wreck driving in a way that is so different than how we learned. There is a learning curve, for sure! I feel like Tesla’s are for tech-minded people. 🥴

One pointer - you can use the brake time any time you like, but you will get used to Regenerative Braking most of the time. The less you use the brake pedal, the longer the friction brakes will last. At the four year service for my car, no significant brake wear was seen. There are many fine points that your Tesla-owning friends can show you so that you can maximize the enjoyment of your car. Other than tire changes, count on servicing the car every two years. Regarding road trips, we've driven our Model 3 from Cincinnati to Houston, TX with no problem. The Navigation is great for trips, with mapped out Supercharger stops, including pre-conditioning of the battery for shorter charging stops. This isn’t true. The battery is under warranty for 120k miles or 8 years (whichever comes first). No charge to the owner while under warranty. If you’re like me and trade your cars every 3 years, I’d never have to purchase a battery.
Car seats will be hard since the backseat is small and you guys are tall it doesn’t give much of any clearance for a rear facing car seat. Get a midsize suv. Palisade or telluride have the best 2nd row leg room.
I am a Honda CRV gal, most reliable car I have ever owned and soooo comfortable. It has a huge trunk (easily fits my 2 greyhounds) and the back seat fitted baby seats easily. Mine has a sunroof which I use often and is a joy to drive.

I'm with you Brit!!!! TOO MANY QUESTIONS!!!! If you let off the gas driving down interstate, why doe it now t cme to a hard stop, like it does when you are pulling up to a Stop sign? Also if self driving is in contro! Isn't GPS, what if GPS is wrong? I was using GPS once and it wanted me to turn on a road that intersected another road. I couldn't turn because that road was on was a dead end road. TOO many variables!!!!
I have a telluride! I LOVE it!! Has a lot of the “bells and whistles” but not too much where it’s overwhelming. It’s great for my kids and if we have guest. 3rd row seating. Trunk place is amazing!
We have a Toyota Sienna it is a 2016 and it is a push start all you have to do is put your foot on the brake and wait for it to turn green then you can start it it is a nice one we only had to replace the battery like two or three times another than that we never had any problems than that
Some of the new cars cycle the AC off, whenever you’re at a stoplight and as you’re driving. Volvo does that and during a test drive in the middle of summer, it went from cool to horribly hot and stuffy. There’s not a true override button. AC turning off was a no go for our family due to my heart condition and heat intolerance. The new ones aren’t as comfortable, was carsick from air suspension and there’s not much room for storage. My service dog rides in a kennel for safety and there were issues with where his kennel could fit. Do checkout 2016 or before cross country models for a super safe, comfortable vehicle with LOTS of storage! The sedans are great too. Maybe ask a fire department and law enforcement about any safety issues they’ve seen with electric vehicles and Teslas.
Also my grandson has a Tesla and Yes u still can have accidents in them. He wrecked his and it was over $30,000. Damaged and was not totalled. Thank God he was ok just some bruises.
I will never drive an electric vehicle. I would have to agree with Britt being old school. A vehicle that you should look at is 2024 or 2025 GMC Acadia Denali. It is an SUV in luxury mode. There is plenty of room for future family and visitors.
I’ve had a tesla for the past four years! I’m changing because the control panel is the iPad and voice control! Voice control doesn’t pick up everything and generally gets names wrong resulting in not being able to make a call when driving or to navigate! The new wiper feature is hyper sensitive and very difficult to look at the monitor while driving to get the speed you want the wipers at! The tesla requires too much interaction with the screen! Which is a problem when driving! Even answering a call requires touching the screen which is not safe
Oh Heavens to Betsy, no way I could just trust it! I don't even use cruise control! Oh my Brittany, so proud of U for doing it! Jared U would be my chauffeur!😂😂
This is one time i agree with you britt usually jared gives into whatever you want , but this time that tesla i say is a no no stick to a toyota or bmw
I’m with Brit on this one. Too many this and thats on it. Give me a car and let me drive. I am excited to see the Telluride. I see them on the road and love the way they look. I haven’t seen one inside.
Do they really last longer? Hybrids are many more moving parts than a pure EV, which from an engineering perspective means the probability of something going wrong is much higher. We have a 2018 Tesla with over 120,000 miles on it, and it drives like it was new.
Very enjoyable video. Toyotas are awesome, last forever! I have a 2005 4Runner that is still going strong! And a 2012 Camry that is still going strong as well! Maybe look into a Hybrid, my husband has one, at least you don’t have to worry about running out of electric, you always have gas as a backup! Good luck, it’s a big and very hard decision!
my husband , at 76 has his first brand new of the lot Tesla. white with black inside. same as you are test driving 9-14 was his first day ever, Just bought it, never test drive. He is like Britt on the car reaction. My car is a Toyota Highlander 2013 new , my car before was also a highlander for 15 years.

I dont trust Tesla and car driving on its own. I dont think that is a good idea. I feel more accidents happen with non-driving vs human driving.
I’m with Britt, defensive driving & being fully alert & in control is important!!!
@@jillpierce3008we are humans, thats never gonna happen unfortunately

Do checkout 2016 or before cross country models for a super safe, comfortable vehicle with LOTS of storage! The sedans are great too. Maybe ask a fire department and law enforcement about any safety issues they’ve seen with electric vehicles and Teslas.
Get the white, they clean well and stay cooler inside
Congratulations enjoy your beautiful car make lots of precious memories❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I LOVE my Sorento and friends Telluride! I’ve driven the Toyota Highlander and liked it
If someone gave me one of those I’d immediately take it and trade it in on a gas powered car. I’m a truck driver and like to be in control.
I have an Acadia while my mom has a Traverse. They’re very nice and quite roomy. I’m a GM girl, my dad worked for and retired from GM.
Please say you didn't buy a Tesla.
I had the same reaction but I love the Tesla
Also my grandson has a Tesla and Yes u still can have accidents in them. He wrecked his and it was over $30,000. Damaged and was not totalled. Thank God he was ok just some bruises.
Plus if you have chargers at the apartment, you will always leave full so unless you do a huge road trip you’ll never pay electricity!
I've been driving a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe 2D. Still going strong with 247,000 miles on it.
We LOVE our Telluride!
Have fun, hope you find the perfect one.
If you get a electric car you should get a hybrid one they are better and last longer they have more better reviews
So isn’t a hybrid mean you have to buy gas anyway? Hmm! Is that worth it?!
Do they really last longer? Hybrids are many more moving parts than a pure EV, which from an engineering perspective means the probability of something going wrong is much higher. We have a 2018 Tesla with over 120,000 miles on it, and it drives like it was new.
How much does it cost for new battery? I know some electric cars have very very expensive batteries!
I had Fords my whole life and always loved what I had then I got a Kia 4 years ago and I’ll never go back! I ❤️ my Kia Soul!
Test drive an Acura. I have a MDX model and love it! It assist with your driving, braking, and keeps you in your lane. It has so many safety features.
I'm with Britt, that tesla trunk is not big. I'm still driving a '14 Hyundai Sonata and the trunk is huge compared this the tesla.
She didn't open the very large storage area under the trunk. It's much larger than in most gas cars.
My Son loves his Tesla. I definitely think you guys should get one. Brit you will get used to it.
my husband , at 76 has his first brand new of the lot Tesla. white with black inside. same as you are test driving 9-14 was his first day ever, Just bought it, never test drive. He is like Britt on the car reaction. My car is a Toyota Highlander 2013 new , my car before was also a highlander for 15 years.
I have a mazda cx90 and love it! I think had I waited I may have gotten the cx70, don't need the third row, its down all the time anyways :)
I loved driving the hyuandi sante fe!
Its so smartit will stop even if a person runs in front of you and you didnt see them right away
