Peter Newton Even lower. You don't say "lower" once or twice and then forget about it because they haven't listened. You say it and demonstrate as many times as needed for her to understand how low you need to go. She needed to get a lot fucking lower than she was.
flames1000000 you said an english version of football so that indicated that football was the first because it is another version. you also said seriously like it was a pathetic thing to make an english thing of football...
Canadian Grizzly, go fuck yourself. I've played rugby for 20 years. You are not a rugby player. Rugby has an ethos of Teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, enjoyment, discipline and safety. Respect female rugby players, I coach a ladies team and any single one of them would run rings around you and knock you on your narrow minded arse. If you can't have respect for every level of the game then rugby does not wan't or need you.
Couldn't agree more... I kept shaking my head blaming the mess on the editing but I doubt that theory haha... Plus she was playing a sevens match it seemed (she definitely bruises easily sheesh) judging by the scrum- I doubt she'd make a 10s match and definitely not a full 15... However, thanks for the titbit of exposure to the wonderful world of female rugga and well done at learning a few things in a day...
+angelie belmont true to be honest I would never have allowed an individual to play a match after 1 training session as its dangerous to herself and those around her but kudos to her for giving it a go far to few do and great enthusiasm hope she carries on as its an amazing game
+Jon south she is definitely isn't ready for a rugby match half of these tackles would be and are considered high tackles, she could have really injured someone
yip id take a muddy track over turf any day. Dislocated my shoulder after ploughing into the artificial turf. So much grip that my shoulder stopped but my body kept moving.
Philip Cox Modern Astro-turf has been developed in order that friction burns are minimised to the minimum. Originally if you just landed on the surface and it was not wet enough you would get terrible friction burns.
I'm a kiwi grown up with rugby and I know how intimidating it can be at first especially when I was skinny playing against bigger girls at school but the more practice its rad good on you ! You did well
Having watched most of your video's this evening, from Parkour to MMU, oval driving to my favourite sport of Rugby, I must doff my cap to your total commitment to each and every sport you try. I've subscribed out of sheer embarressment of my lack of ability. Have you enjoyed any to the point of continuing in your own time?
What an awesome chick! She is not only a gorgeous woman, but also has a fantastic fun personality, very bubbly and entertaining she is a natural for tv that is for sure. Hope there is many more episodes of this show and hopefully she then can continue with other tv work, born tv host :)
I think of all the things you've done in this series- Rugby is the most impressive. It's not just tough, but actually quite dangerous and requires quick wits. Good effort!
It's awesome to see people giving Rugby a go. But someone needs to make a real grass patch for them to play on. Even Kiwi's know not to play Rugby on turf. That's why you had your injuries Lauren. Love your idea for your channel. Good stuff.
Like Aotearoa Matau, about 19 yo when she played in her first World Cup. Which Black Ferns won, as usual. This frail woman is 6 ft tall and weighs 293 pounds.
It was a seves match, could u tell me where is a fullback there? and as a beginner u cant play center or fullback - too much decisions on youre head but as a forward u need to keep next to youre mates.
I actually played my first game in this stadium. Its in Manhattan and super elevated and you just can't really keep the grass in good shape there between the weather, the field play, etc. It wasn't that bad though.
She’s only playing sevens, get out there with a full 15. 7’s is played mainly just with the smaller faster players , the back’s are the speed merchants of the full team, the forwards are the bigger, harder hitting work horses of a team.
Good on you girl for trying. Don't listen to these professional rugby players lol Atleast you had a go. She trained for a short amount of time and got thrown into the game the next day. What did yous expect lol No one really understands just how physical and daunting rugby can be until they've been in the game themselves. Especially when it's their first time haha
My sister played varsity rugby and those girls are *tough*. Her stories about the scrum, tackles, concussions, illegal elbows, hair pulling, screams of "You bitch!" and girls being kicked while they were down gave me quite an appreciation for the roughness of the sport.
I wonder how she felt the days after that game xD I mean, that wasn't very serious, but for a person who play his first match with tackles and scrums..... dmn that neck and shoulders xDDD
Lauren you need to try my sport motocross conditioning and training is defently a workout when you get out on the track breaking bumps and all other obsticals are very tuff if you want to try it i would get with James Stewart
I thought she did well, especially with so little preparation. See "Nichole Beck tackle" for one of the best tackles you'll ever see at any level of rugby
SoN oFaBleepBlop The origin of rugby football is reputed to be an incident during a game of English school football at Rugby School in 1823, when William Webb Ellis is said to have picked up the ball and run with it.[6] Although the evidence for the story is doubtful, it was immortalised at the school with a plaque unveiled in 1895.[7][8] Despite the doubtful evidence, the Rugby World Cup trophy is named after Webb Ellis. All the way from New Zealand that was awesome! Rugby is our religion and the International team of New Zeleand is the best rugby team in history the ALL BLACKS
Mixed addictions That's what history says is true , but South Africa was not a part of global matches for a while due to political reasons. Those if we were actually able and allowed to participate in those times , the facts would be much more even.
4th generation artificial surfaces are IRB approved for official matches. Not sure what that was tho, didnt look like 4th gen. Twickenham is Half 4th generation and half artificial half grass, sorta knotted together
hey that was great to see..now try rugby league...almost the same but slightly harder because you have to be fitter...contact david niu whos president of the american league, they also have the world cup coming up next year too,so maybe youll get to see the squad traing too....good luck
For a first timer, you made one excellent play. Run at an angle to the opposing line draw the tackle and pass into space. Well done. Next time though - two handfuls of shorts at the hips for the lift, no grab ass.
+Kyleez Youngz it's not like football. It's totally different to football - rugby doesn't need an offensive and defensive side. They don't have constant stoppages like football does. Perhaps watch a game of rugby before actually making comparisons
Alexander Inzunza I'm saying this is BETTER than Football! And cricket isn't even played in America, so that's why you wouldn't do that. And Rugby Is like football, except it's BETTER and makes more sense. I want it to replace football.
Best time to be a lifter in the history of a rugby
"I'm a rugby player now!"
*proceeds to commit a rugby offence* xD
That coach needed to tell her to get lower. I mean, literally as low as possible.
OmDzable like @ 1:02 where he literally says lower?
Peter Newton
Even lower.
You don't say "lower" once or twice and then forget about it because they haven't listened. You say it and demonstrate as many times as needed for her to understand how low you need to go.
She needed to get a lot fucking lower than she was.
OmDzable you know how editing works right? You haven't seen the whole training session.
Peter Newton
And?
I'm going by what I've seen.
and all those bloody teddy bear rolls smh
"An English version of football"... seriously?
Laurence Towning It was referring to the fact the sport originated from football (soccer), in England.
Laurence Towning Rugby was made before American Football..
Laurence Towning Wow, Rugby came first yet you're dismissing it like it was made yesterday.
flames1000000 you said an english version of football so that indicated that football was the first because it is another version. you also said seriously like it was a pathetic thing to make an english thing of football...
P N-E I said quite the opposite to that.
Not even playing on grass though. Ouch. It's bad enough playing on dry grass but at least the dirt offers a little padding.
you should not play on ice it's to dangerous in England if it's icey you don't play
She looks more like a soccer player
I about died when she started hitting the bag😂😂
That's the worst definition ever for rugby...
Yep but you know Americans, if they didn't invent or do something 1st, they'll just claim they did. Lol.
1:40 was the most awekward moment in hand-shake-high-five history.
This video is so cringey to watch from an actual female rugby player
agreed
Yeah you women wouldn't stand a chance in real Rugby
Canadian Grizzly, go fuck yourself. I've played rugby for 20 years. You are not a rugby player. Rugby has an ethos of Teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, enjoyment, discipline and safety. her tackles are so high omg

"Dear diary; JACKPOT"
Rugby on a plastic pitch, that's going to hurt. no wonder they got so many scrapes.
yip id take a muddy track over turf any day. Dislocated my shoulder after ploughing into the artificial turf. So much grip that my shoulder stopped but my body kept moving.
Philip Cox Modern Astro-turf has been developed in order that friction burns are minimised to the minimum. Originally if you just landed on the surface and it was not wet enough you would get terrible friction burns.
i played on turf. pretty shitty
Cool iam 12 i play rugby. It's the best think on the world when you play it. It's really painful but it's fun 😃
rugby was so fun in high school. was a last minute decision but such a great experience especially when you were one of the bigger kids
I'm a kiwi grown up with rugby and I know how intimidating it can be at first especially when I was skinny playing against bigger girls at school but the more practice its rad good on you ! You did well
Nice. Good to see you gave it a go

Another top video Lauren coming from a rugby nation I really enjoyed this one keep up the great work. Regards Harry
What an awesome chick!

I think of all the things you've done in this series- Rugby is the most impressive. It's not just tough, but actually quite dangerous and requires quick wits. Good effort!
"im a rugby player now"
me: girl bye
Is that seriously the American definition of rugby at the start? HAHA XD.
It's awesome to see people giving Rugby a go. But someone needs to make a real grass patch for them to play on. Even Kiwi's know not to play Rugby on turf.
That's why you had your injuries Lauren.
Love your idea for your channel. Good stuff.
They were playing on astroturf?? Why not grass?? Turf is dangerous.

orkust omg yes they would tear u apart and that would be primary children
Or the Scots, I play for my school and they thrash you 😂
Like Aotearoa Matau, about 19 yo when she played in her first World Cup. Which Black Ferns won, as usual. This frail woman is 6 ft tall and weighs 293 pounds.
sweet answer. respect!
It was a seves match, could u tell me where is a fullback there? and as a beginner u cant play center or fullback - too much decisions on youre head but as a forward u need to keep next to youre mates.
My cousin plays Women's Rugby for Princeton. Now I know never to mess with her. :P
I actually played my first game in this stadium. Its in Manhattan and super elevated and you just can't really keep the grass in good shape there between the weather, the field play, etc. It wasn't that bad though.
I think Lauren is the perfect type of girl! Shes pretty, sweet, friendly, loves to try new things and isn't afraid to get a few bruises.
She’s only playing sevens, get out there with a full 15. 7’s is played mainly just with the smaller faster players , the back’s are the speed merchants of the full team, the forwards are the bigger, harder hitting work horses of a team.
You should take a look at some 6 nations stuff! Especially a Welsh player called Dan Lydiate, immense tackler!!
Rachel familuy treaty fresty doing samill frosty

Lauren reminds me of Jessica Biel so much! I never new rugby was so aggressive wow
That was nothing
She does looks like Jessica...
My sister played varsity rugby and those girls are *tough*. Her stories about the scrum, tackles, concussions, illegal elbows, hair pulling, screams of "You bitch!" and girls being kicked while they were down gave me quite an appreciation for the roughness of the sport.
1:17 ... must be fun to be the back lifter. ;)
This is sooo cool !
I wonder how she felt the days after that game xD
I mean, that wasn't very serious, but for a person who play his first match with tackles and scrums..... dmn that neck and shoulders xDDD
1:43 Nahh, no bruises.
4:44 NOW you're a rugby player!
Big respect, u did awesome
I freakin love this chick!
'they kick your ass, but it feels fucking awesome'' hahaha I play rugby too, and that's exactly how I feel :D
1:20, that guy has a good grip.
what's the video about?
"An English form of football"?
Actually, I think you'll find that gridiron is an American form of rugby...
Good on you lady for trying! Nice vid!
Ouch.....I think the derby girls took it easy on you with the scrimmage and the hits.
I am 14 and i play rugby it's so good 😁😁😁☺☺😄😄
Lauren you need to try my sport motocross conditioning and training is defently a workout when you get out on the track breaking bumps and all other obsticals are very tuff if you want to try it i would get with James Stewart
Great job love, you took beauty takes pain to a whole nother meaning
I'd be proud to have you on my rugby club
I wish there were more girls like this
I thought she did well, especially with so little preparation. See "Nichole Beck tackle" for one of the best tackles you'll ever see at any level of rugby
Rugby is truly for the champs!
2:16 what did I sing up for thats the look
Rugby is NOT an english version of football.Football is its own sport. It's just you Americans that think that.
You know the game isn't very intense when the camera guy is on the field
which shorts is she wearing?
What an Americanised definition of rugby! It should say something like "A 15-man code of football where players are allowed to handle the ball."
01:27 thats my part!!!!!!!
Can Lauren spell her own name and breath with her mouth closed? Nailed it.
she should try Lacrosse. high impact type of sport.
Aye, more of a tall person's game, brutal in its own way.
You are way better looking than Biel, I also love that attitude !
1:22 lucky guy
Rugby was first started in the USA

u started out timidly to begin with...then slowly out came the claws. Be very proud of your effort. Kia Kaha!
I wounder if she'll do any military style training. Marine Corps basic would be a cool challenge.
Why did they put her as flanker? She hasn't got the experience to tackle but good on her for trying her best
Aren't you uploading WvWK-Videos at 3VFitness, anymore?
i had a rugby game to day
So much fucking respect.
Rugby on astro turf is like getting carpet burns...Rugby is best played on grass.....kudos to Lauren for playing after a few lessons........
All the way from New Zealand that was awesome! Rugby is our religion and the International team of New Zeleand is the best rugby team in history the ALL BLACKS
KIWISUPERMAN not in history , The Springbucks have kicked your butts quite a couple of times
All blacks 55 Springboks 35 out of 90 games best in team in history
Mixed addictions That's what history says is true , but South Africa was not a part of global matches for a while due to political reasons. Those if we were actually able and allowed to participate in those times , the facts would be much more even.
Apartheid finished in 1994 and you have lost 37 times out of 53 since then
When she stretched at 1:51 my lord almighty lol
The uzhe, lol, I love it.
Come nz or aus.
not the netball passes from the real players💀
I'd actually love to play. But I rather not die because I have asthma and no muscles 😂
those guy where loving life
in fiji we play rugby on gravel but that pitch looks even worse
I play rugby and there not allowed pulling hair or jersey and I love doing line outs
Great gal! She really gets stuck in at 4 min! She is very fit and athletic.
And that America is called a true sport
4th generation artificial surfaces are IRB approved for official matches. Not sure what that was tho, didnt look like 4th gen. Twickenham is Half 4th generation and half artificial half grass, sorta knotted together

"You are the best Rugby Coach in the world..."
No, Sir Graham Henry is. :) LOLLL! Kidding!!
Hit lower!!
For a first timer, you made one excellent play. Run at an angle to the opposing line draw the tackle and pass into space. Well done.
Next time though - two handfuls of shorts at the hips for the lift, no grab ass.
That lad lifting at the back is a lucky fook
Just saying rugby was around before American football so I wouldn’t call it a form of football
I don't get it. Why don't Rugby just be the new sport instead of football??
It is football just no pads
+Kyleez Youngz Aye, I know, but why doesn't it Replace actual football? This isn't even nationally known.
+Kyleez Youngz it's not like football. It's totally different to football - rugby doesn't need an offensive and defensive side. They don't have constant stoppages like football does. Perhaps watch a game of rugby before actually making comparisons
This is nothing like football. Its like if you want cricket to take over baseball, its just not possible.
Alexander Inzunza I'm saying this is BETTER than Football! And cricket isn't even played in America, so that's why you wouldn't do that. And Rugby Is like football, except it's BETTER and makes more sense. I want it to replace football.
And if you do it again, come to England where the game originated :)
Welcome to rugby.
well done for giving it all but playing on grass would of made it more easier and enjoyable especially tackling
haha next time try 15s. Double the size, double the workout.
15s is double the size, yes, but 7s is triple the work.
+LightAfterNight89105 maybe if you're a back playing 15s. A forward playing 15s for 80 minutes versus any 7s match is way more.
rachel dorminy
I agree.... I'm a forward in the 15's games and it's pretty tough especially with injuries and playing at 13 yrs old
