Can you make a vid on how most non trained fighters can defend against "wild swinging "like fighting? You know those folks that swing hard and try to "first swing knock out " type cats?? Simple tips?
After 9 years of karate I'm switching to boxing, first week finished today and I'm feeling great. Talked to my coach and I will starting my first boxing sparring next monday, I'll try to apply everything I've been learning from you (second coach haha). Love from Spain, keep up the good work ^^
Should my kid be fighting south paw? He’s kinda left handed and bats baseball both. Gym I take him to doesn’t want him standing that way. No way I fight not south paw myself
He sounds like he's naturally left handed and almost ambidextrous. That's how i am too. When i first started boxing, i started orthodox, despite being a lefty/ambidextrious Now i fight from both stances after fighting in golden gloves Since he has the ability to fight either way, just let him choose whichever is more comfortable. If he is tall, I'd suggest starting off orthodox because his jab will be dangerous because his left hand is stronger Down the road he can adapt the other style as well
If your kid is naturally left handed he should learn to use his weakest hand as his jab. Then follow with his strongest hand, his left. As he progresses he could learn to switch and that gives him greater boxing range, but get his natural form down first. IMO

I throw the cross to the body a lot as a southpaw. You can set traps with that as well.
Can you give me a tip, I'm scared to throw body cross because I'm scared of getting countered while doing it
