I feel you on not being with the grind culture. I've spent a lot of time in NYC and live in Shanghai (very similar grind culture in China) and I just cannot. I like my life being rich in solo experiences or with the rare few people I truly cherish, I don't need to be out here doing everything. Being alone can be the most fulfilling time, just like being with a bunch of people can be the loneliest time. Keep choosing what lifts you up either way.
Well said!!! Thank you for sharing!
When I moved to new city, I did a number of things. I volunteered at local museums and community organizations. I joined a beginners golf group for women. I also joined to meet up for people that enjoyed walking or hiking. That really helped me establish friendships. I am also introvert and enjoy my private space. However, nice to connect with folks.
@@lynwill9946 love this!!
im intervert myself, im always alone. being alone is power, you dont need anyone to make you happy, you dont depend on anyone to make you happy, you get your own happiness. there is a quote ; if you hate being alone, you are in a bad company. I rather have peace, quiet, less drama and to deal with people. to me peace is most important thing. /regards from europe.
@@deealex1402 peace is the most important thing!
This is one of the best videos I’ve ever watched on just living day-to-day life. You’re so honest about the experience, and I want to say thank you for sharing this with us as viewers. 😊❤
@@jjamerican93 this makes me happy to hear! I enjoy sharing these “simple” videos because it is a better depiction of how life truly is! More of this to come!💗
Never seen someone so detailed about their cleaning. I could almost smell the freshness of your apartment through the phone lol
@@Artwakbyjohn I loveeee cleaning it’s so therapeutic for me! & I truly take my time haha
@@NCMunedited you shore do!! All of 4 hrs 😄
Oof, I resonate with this heavy. My life in NYC doesn’t match with the vision my friends and family elsewhere. There are high points, for sure, but increasingly more of my days look just like this.
@@TemiMReacts glad this resonates!! More videos like this to come😌
Loved the vlog. It's nice watching a content creator who's not over glamorizing every aspect of their lives. Things are normal and redundant and that okay. Subscribed!
@@scs090scs9 so glad to hear this feedback! Thanks for being here💜
I know the feeling of moving to a major city and not having any friends/good acquaintances. I live in Boston and most of my time is spent solo. Being an introvert/homebody i've been pushing myself to do things solo outdoors to hopefully connect with others.
@@empresschronicles1749 definitely! Hope it’s getting better for you!
love this video! I recently graduated and moved from NYC to LA for my first full-time job, can totally relate to finding community on my own time - seven months have truly flew by! maybe I will continue romanticizing LA for now but definitely homesick :)
@@kindaking LA is fun! I recently visited and it’s definitely a beautiful place! Wishing you all the best💗
I love these kinds of videos!
@@kizzymarlene so glad! More to come!
I'm in bk, creating content too. Totally feel you on the not so glits and glam of NYC - just here living my life... same girl same!
@@marlobaldasarra glad this is relatable!!
Appreciate your perspective on life in the NYC. Will continue to watch.
Thank you for sharing!! Happy you’re here❤
I've lived in NYC for all my life! Upon retiring, I realized that 99% of my human interaction had occurred at work. I do not have a true friend circle. I am a true introvert so I'm fine with it. I LOVE living alone and being alone! If this is NOT for you then you will have to put yourself out there and make connections. You have done so much within the last year so give yourself grace for what you have not yet attained. It's imperative to find a balance between work and leisure. Find groups that offer activities that interest you or perhaps start something of your own. There are many content creators in NYC who may be experiencing a similar situation. Perhaps try reaching out to them. The fall will be here in a few weeks. Many people will be hosting smaller indoor events. Volunteer at a soup kitchen, nursing home, library, start a book club etc. Also, it's extremely important to distinguish between loneliness and boredom.. The remedy for loneliness seems to require human interaction and the remedy for boredom is activity.
@@jsmith5509 loneliness vs boredom is so real!!! Thanks for sharing this!

I didn't know you have a second channel. This popped up after watching someone else's vlogs. Ok cool. Yeah I will trade places with you if I could. My life is completely boring with nothing much to do and a horrible tiny income. So I live vicariously through you and other creators. Your life from the outside is esthetically pleasing.
@@MsBNYC1986 yes I shared this news in my main channel at the beginning of August! Wanted to tell them first because I appreciate the community I have on there. Thanks for sharing this also!!
@@NCMunedited Ok cool.
Beautiful studio ❤
@@Mariefth thank you!
Thankyou for your honest' view of NYC..I agree with you..I left NY 3 years ago, I never looked back! Wishing you all the Best!
@@Latigo477 thanks for sharing! Where did you go after nyc?
@@NCMunedited I moved to Greece. You are so right about the hype regarding NYC. It's a very tough and expensive place to live and it doesn't give back what you pay out. I lived in the East Village my rent was a fortune, criminal really, for a small one bedroom. I moved to NY in 2010 had been living previously in Greece and moved back. i'm an American but liived aboard for a number of years.Every place has it challenges, but NYC challenges can be overwhelming. I wish you all the best, I love your honesty it's so refreshing!!
@@Latigo477 oh wow! Greece sounds lovely! So glad you have all these experiences under your belt! And thanks for sharing 💗💗
@@NCMunedited I'm alot older than you! and I'm sure you will have a lot of experiences too, keep up the good work and your refreshing honesty! ❤❤

I’m still trying to understand how this apartment is $2K.
@@RaeganBaty not sure what there is to understand? You’d be surprised how many nyc apartments are cheaper than this, and smaller ones are more expensive!!
All I want to know is do you have roaches. If so how do you deal with it
@@50plus2013 no roaches! Usually those come when you live in an area with a lot of restaurants. Also, my building has weekly exterminators
Wow thats an awesome feature, didn't know places did that!🪳 makes sense about the restaurants. Your laundry area is so nice! How did you find this apartment? It's so clean & modern. Is 2k a good deal for everything you are receiving? I'm afraid if I moved there I wouldn't be able to go out & do stuff after paying all my bills 😢
@@ashleymyers3100 I have many videos on my main channel about how I found this apartment! You can check out my apartment hunting series to learn more about the process
