Happy Birthday! You're right 30 is Very young. I would say most people feel pressure to hit certain milestones as they age. It isn't until you're much older that you realize how young you were and still are. I am a 42 y/o black woman who also flew the coup to live and you didn't see too many people who look like me doing that. I had a wonderful time. Enjoy your life as it goes and don't worry about "milestones" I got married at 40, had a baby at 41, and still happily married at 42. You got it!

What I love about living in NY is that you can live life at whatever pace you want it to go. Not the case for the other places I've lived as they were too slow for me.

The lift up of the bed was shocking for me bc first I was like there should be another convertible storage type comfy couch in that are that of course converts into a bed but that works too

To this day I still love reading magazines those that are still being printed but I loved looking through the photo shoots, admiring the clothing, the message, hair & makeup. I moved into an apartment 3 years ago, and upon moving in I rush to furnish to my apartment and I hate every item except 3 or 4 pieces. Let me tell you it was not cheap furnishing this apartment. So take all the time you need and only purchase what you love not what you like, because there is a big difference. And that way you won't have any regrets and waste a lot of money.🙂🙂

I work in the Healthcare field & my coworker the other day was complaining about being mischarged for a service. Honestly so frustrating & it takes so much time connecting to the right person to get the issue resolved & then weeks before its finally fixed😤I like how you are keeping busy meeting new ppl. I've heard NYC can be lonely. I was having really bad breakouts too around my mouth/chin area & I discovered dairy was the culprit. But I wasn't about to give up my whole milk for almond, cashew, or coconut milk 🤮 I simply started buying lactose free whole milk. No more breakouts. Also certain Mexican cheeses make me breakout but they are so delicious 😋 these zits I would get from consuming dairy would be so painful, deep & take forever to heal. I refused to go to a dermatologist $$$, half the time they put you on a cream that drys your face out or a pill that hurts your stomach. A facial spray I've discovered that I love when my skin is red & angry is the Tower 28 Daily Rescue Facial Spray, use as a makeup setting spray & toner🎉
