I feel for you guys, moving is always difficult I hope you guys get well soon! I really like the new place and am looking forward to seeing it in action, also love the double doors that is really nice for big machines like cockpit cabinets👍🏻
Pacscalator Arcade Thanks buddy. Yea the double doors I was going to block off thinking I would have extra room but I think they would be much more of a befit left clear. You never know I might get a pinball or cockpit in the future who knows. I appreciate your support mate.
Hey Alex, Just a thought why not get a 5.5kva 110v transformer and setup some 110v outlets for the cabs as your going to be basically rewiring the games room. Only suggest that because I'm looking at doing it myself.

Wish I could help you but being a single parent and with this sh** Coronavirus all I can do is wish you and your partner a very speedy recovery ;)
Awww mate Just you kind words and support is enough to cheer me up. Starting to get very frustrated with the sling but I’ll have to deal with it. Thanks so much mate
9 cabs in a row! Huge. Awful about your arm man. 5 trips?! Thats horrific work. Once you get this space sorted its going to be incredible; no doubt it will take a long time to get everything how you envision. Dude that image of your fall....oh my, not an easy thing to hear! Room looks great. Is there a way to heat it for the winter? Also boards bolted to the concrete will conduct cold from the concrete, you might want to weather seal the concrete then frame out with 2x4's to screw the floor boards to those, and put insulation in the gap between the concrete and floor boards. Just a thought.
One hell of a move mate I can tell you, don’t want to be doing that for a while I can tell you. I’ve got plans to insulate walls and ceiling. I won’t bother with the floor Mitch as I will always have shoes on as I’ve got to walk from the house to the arcade. The ceiling will be corrugated tin sheets and the walls second hand scaffold boards. Think that will look cool. Im so happy with the space bro and the amount of games I can fit is perfect for me. Thanks for you support as always Mitch 😎👍
That's a rough break man. So sorry. Getting it pinned by someone competent is best to heal. Scary that healthcare is so bad. Your partner has a world of hurt too, slipped disc is no joke, can take months or year to get over that nerve pain.
I’ll find out Thursday Ninja if it’s healed probably, if not I might just have to get it pinned. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take to long. Thanks for your support buddy.
Oh man.... I feel for you both... I had a similar accident not long ago doing something stupid up a ladder... and yes.... you appreciate that if you had hit your head on the way down.... makes you think! Live long and prosper.
Hahahahaha fcuking hell im crying here, you explaining how you broke your arm, fcuking hell Alex comedy gold "it flopped round and smacked me in the face, then flopped to the ground and i thought...thats broke" Glad your ok though bruv i can see you having to have it pinned (long term that might be the best option) The room looks a fantastic space and id be doing exactly the same re the windows and the door! With the floor how high will that raise it and are you putting a ceiling in, just thinking once you start to board it your narrowing that internal space arent you? also would you not be better to put a loft hatch internally for access to the space above.....wouldnt want you going for a burton again mate hahahaha!
New space looks fantastic and will come together really well. Will be interesting following the process over the next period. Make sure you don’t overdue it and let your arm heal though. I hope that follow up scan goes ok, but then pinning might be the better option if it isn’t. Also hope your partners back is also on the mend, totally understand what that is like. But your going to have a fantastic space, that you can setup how you like and definitely have enough room to enjoy both the cabs and the consoles.
OMG, take care. As we get older we have to be more conscious of our limitations, as you're finding out. Wow. You might wanna do what my grandparents did, which was to have a little button connected to a light and a buzzer in the main house, so they could signal each other if they needed something.
Thanks Andrew I wish I had been more careful this is so frustrating 😩 Definitely worth having some form of contact with the house. I’m taking it easy for a while mate I need my Robotron hand back 😂
Wow now what a story about your arm! What a situation to be in..Fair play for keeping your composure in the heaviest of scenarios!! Think your right we all take things for granted even ladders, but pleased you didn’t break anytime more serious including your head! You and your lady will laugh over this once the house and barn is at its peak of greatness. What game did you actually wanted to play on the mega drive before all of that craziness? lol 😆 take it easy bud!
Oh luke I’m so lucky And I really appreciate your kind words buddy. Well I wanted to play midnight resistance after sega zombie recommended it. But I can’t even hold the controller 😩
Well that swollen hand is gonna make certain bits of your anatomy look smaller than you remember so stick with the left for now 😉 wish you a full and speedy recovery.
Also, i eyeballed my game room and things havent fit like i thought it would. Need to measure the room and games and do a rough out on graph paper. and see what works best.
I’ve done that so many times. I would like sky skipper actually to stand alone somewhere in my games room but struggling to work out what’s best. Always good to work it out on paper if you can, save moving the bloody things.
You guys will pull through!! You have a whole community of support right here!! In our prayers!! PS turn up your mic mate! Intro is loud and you're too low!
That's a great space with loads of potential! looking forward to see what you do with it. Keep checking on your arm and hand Alex, make sure you get the best treatment you can whilst its still healing. Good luck and I hope the arm recovers in quick time.
Watching with my other half who went green as you explained the accident. Wishing you all the best with the recovery. Looking forward to the journey coming with the gamesroom. Pleased you got the megadrive set up in the end (needed to put a 'NO MEGADRIVES WERE INJURED PRIOR TO FILMING THIS VIDEO)
Lol I’m making sure the megadrive gets a good battering 😂 Actually been going through the everdrive list this morning. Still prefer the Snes any day but it’s got some classics. Sorry to make your wife feel green 😬 I’m the same when people tell me story’s like that but fine when it’s my own. Thanks for your support buddy
I'm sure I left a comment here, I must of clicked off the screen before pushing the comment button! There's never a dull moment with you Alex! Those bloody lofts and ladders are a nightmare. I know a lady who pops into my place of work who lost a leg from a similar accident! I think you made a few people ill with your description mate 😂 Hope you and the missus have a speedy recovery mate so you both can enjoy your beautiful new house 😍 The new arcade will look fantastic when you;ve put your personal touches to it for sure, and the machines look ace lined up like that! It will sound amazing too I bet! All the best!!
Thanks for your kind words Paul. I’ve just got back from the hospital and they’ve said it will be 2 months before I can drive and 3 months full recovery. 😩 no work and income it’s going to be slow to get the arcade to where I want it. I’m still positive and excited but at the same time frustrated. Anyway thanks for your support mate I really appreciate it.
Bloody hell mate! Get well soon to the both of you! So happy to hear you're both loving the new place. You know what has caused that broken arm don't you mate... Sega! If you were getting the SNES out rather than the Mega Drive it wouldn't have happened haha! Joking aside mate I hope you're ok. A few Eggy Mess dishes and you'll be stronger than ever. All the best to you both on your new adventure and I can't wait to see future videos of the arcade getting done up.
Gutted for you about your arm mate, you must be itching to get the arcade done and to look after Nush Just one of those things mate, we’ve all done silly things on ladders as you say “it could’ve been worse” Few months and you’ll be back getting decent rescue scores So ironic it was getting a Sega MegaDrive🙈 Really envious of that huge space
Lol never want to see another megadrive 😂 Actually been going through the everdrive for it this morning. Still think the Snes is far superior. Thanks for your kind words mate and your be one of the first to come over.
Mate I was wincing while you described your arm crunching and swinging 😣lol What can I say... just rest and let that arm mend Bruv and FFS no more ladders lol That arcade mate is going to be absolutely amazing and so deserved mate so looking forward to the journey ahead and can’t wait until this lockdown is over and your on the mend bud I will deffo be coming down to visit
Thanks so much Scott means a lot buddy. I’m resting but quickly getting fed up with daytime tv 😂 I managed to play zombies ate my neighbors and slap fight on the megadrive yesterday. Both excellent games. I can hold down the fire button and not tense my arm to much. Will check out midnight resistance today after your recommendation. Thanks for your kind words my good friend. Definitely meet up as soon as this crap is over.
Fair play that was some detail on the break, made me more squeamish than the egg in a mess eating video. 😂 That setup looks amazing, such a nice space to have, most of us in the UK don't have the luxury of dedicated spaces of this size. One thing I would say is to get a dehumidifier, this looks more water tight than my garage, but I run a dehumdifier to take out as much water from the air as possible, the one I have has a small tank or you can connect it to a hose that runs outside. Next video you'll have replaced them all with crappy fruit machines and a pac man so you can play with one arm. Take care and hope you heal up soon.
Goodwins Place Thanks Craig And sorry about the fine detail, I’ll keep that to cooking next time 😬 I’ll definitely be making sure the room is dry and warm throughout the year. Unfortunately it’s going to be months now before I can do anything. Thanks buddy
Man im really sorry to here about your arm and you partner. I hope you both feel better, i herniated a disc a couple years ago. Worst pain i ever felt in life. I had to get on a decompression machine at the chiropractor. It was a life save. Have her look into that if you can. On the positive note the arcade rooms look great. 9 cabs is awesome. Cant wait to see the room all done when you heal up. Im up to 7 cabs now myself and trying to get a couple pinballs down the road. Be safe brother and i hope you both get well
Nintendo Arcade the decompression machine at the chiropractor puts you in a strap and it will pull you slowly releasing pressure on your disc and getting to go back . I herniated my disc on a friday and couldnt walk for two days until monday when the chiropractor opened. I had to crawl on ground for two days. 30 minutes on the machine and i could walk again. Whatever happens after this she must be vigilant on picking thing up at all times. Get a tens unit if you can to help with the spasms. Sorry i know alot about this. I hope your arm gets better brother. The cabs i own now are 1. Spiderman 4 player sega, 2. Donkey kong, 3 dk jr, 4. Galaga. 5. Pac man cabaret 6. Neo geo, 7 zombie revenge all origals crts
Dude! so glad your okay! like you say things could have been worse so like you say just think about the positives! Once your both healed, you will have one hell of a moving story to laugh about. cant wait to see the log cabin arcade once it gets put together!
Thanks Eddie It’s going to be 2 - 3 months before I can drive so it’s going to take ages. It’s very frustrating but I’ve just got to get through this. Hope your well buddy
Hi Alex I hope your arm feels better soon. The only bone I have broken is the 5th metacarple on my right hand by falling off a skate board while teaching my daughter how to use it without hurting herself 😅 That was 5 years ago and I've had no other breaks touch wood. But now it seems that at the young age of 47 I might need a hip replacement. I am in the arcade business myself and I have a few locations around my local area that are now closed because of this virus. I can't complain and it's very sad how so many people have passed away. I still work from home by restoring , fixing and rebuilding arcade machines for various people here in Ireland. I did comment on one of your previous videos about the sky skipper game that I found on the Pandoras box pcb. Anyway congratulations to your good self and your partner on moving into your new house and your new home arcade. I hope you both feel better soon and I look forward to your next video. Your friend, Anthony from sunny Ireland 😊
Hi Anthony from sunny Ireland 🇮🇪 Such kind words buddy, thank you. Sounds like you’ve got the job I would absolutely love to do. I’ve been in the building game since 1987 and fed up with it at the age of 49. I bet you’ve got loads of Atari game’s in your arcade ? What cabs have you got ? I appreciate you might have a lot of modern games but still interested in your set up. Must be hard on business like yours. I really hope your arcade is able to open up soon and next time I’m in beautiful Ireland I’ll pay you a visit. I’ve been meaning to come back and visit county Cork where I believe my family where from hundreds of years ago. Anyway take care and thanks for your support 👍
Feel your pain, i once broke left collar, ribs and right thumb all in one go in wales 150 miles from home! I had right hand in a splint and left side in a sling and couldt use either side for 8 weeks. There be calling you the 1 arm bandit! :) just kidding, looking forward to getting ideas and seeing how game room develops! Speedy recovery!
Alex, watched a few of your vids mate and really enjoy them. Moving house is a royal pain in the arse and all the agro that goes with getting settled in. Listening to your arm story was brutal you are a real retro gaming soldier all in the name of getting your megadrive out of the loft, did you tell the wife that bit?! I pulled my rotor cuff badly 3 years back (obviosuly nowhere near as bad as your injury)and I couldnt do bugger all with my right arm for 7 weeks, wife had to help me do pretty much everything, she was not impressed. Great channel, take care stay away from ladders for awhile!
Thanks woby Yes I told her about the mega drive lol She was upset more than anything and I was the angry one. We both look after each other so it’s something we will both get though together. Thanks for your kind words and glad you enjoy the channel 😎👍
Hey Alex I hope you make a recovery soon! You have a nice space now for the arcade it is going to be cool. Speaking of pinball, I am not sure what you think of 1UP arcades, but they have a cool pinball machine coming out with a HD screen for a table which might be worth a look if you dont want to spend too much.
Hi Anthony Thanks for your support. I haven’t checked them out as I didn’t think they were that well made. I’ll have to weigh up my options when I’m better. Thanks
Aw man. Feel your pain. Well not literally, obviously. Anyway stop being a tart, get some gaffer tape on that arm and man up! Some blokes spend hours leaning on their arm to gets pins and needles in their hand! Seriously, take care Alex. It's a great space and looking forward to the next update when you are feeling better.
I had to re-watch @11:45...I thought you said "he had sunburn on his thing." That would explain rushing to the front of the line. Anyway, I hope the two of you heal up soon. At one time I had back problems that made it hard to move and my ex broke her ankle. We literally could get nothing done...her sister had to come over and help. Hang in there buddy.
Ladders 👎🏻 You would be surprised how many people are hurt on them. Had a neighbor fall straight down 10 feet and landed stiff legged. Broke both ankles !!
Jeez man! I'm glad it wasn't worse even if it's bad enough. I look forward to see the progress of your new arcade room. Must be very exciting. Get well soon m8!
Mate, your very detailed description of what happened made me feel quite anxious. What an ordeal! You're right though Alex, moving house is horrible. We did it Nov 1st last year and it was traumatic, although we didn't have to move nine chuffing arcade cabs and no bones were broken. It'll all be worth it in the end. Hope you both get well and remember this... at least you got the Megadrive! ; )
Ha ha at least I got the megadrive 😂 Some say it happened because of the MD being a Nintendo channel. I’m glad it wasn’t the Snes or that would have been damaged Thanks for your support mate 😎👍
OMG Nintendo Arcade Hora Show :( iiihh... i hop u be Well Soon :) lol guess u got knotter rezone not to type now ;D hihihihi... weal happy u 2 are at least happy whit the new House :D any hu i wot defiantly pot in sum whit walls :D goes good wit LEDs ;D for a start :D and May a nice shiny wooden flor :D + a star Selling Maybe ? ;D any way hop u & u,r GF weal be ok soon and ready to start u,r stuff :D Kiss Kiss U 2 From LULU :D .
Ha ha I can just about write with my left hand just takes longer. It’s going to be a all out 80s arcade with plenty of Neon lights 😎👍 Thanks for your support
Sorry to hear you broke your arm mate, your partner sounds like a lovely person. As you said it could have been much worse mate, you dodged a bullet there. Hope it heals quickly and there's no more messing about having it manipulated into position again. When my Nan was alive she had a fall and split her head open. We took her to hospital and after they seen her they just left her on a stretcher on a side ward with me by her side for 2 hours. I tried to complain every 30 mins but it fell on deaf ears, it was absoluteley disgusting seeing my 80 year old Nan being treated like that. Whilst people with cotton buds stuck in their ear got seen to quicker. Anyway I digress....... I'm really looking forward to seeing how your arcade turns out mate. :-) Take care and take it easy.
Awww mate sorry to hear about your nan, reminds me of when my Nan was in hospital after braking her hip. She was left in a puddle of her urine for hours. Thing was when I was there the place was virtually empty . Thank you so much for your kind words and support.
Now your room has 9 arcade cabs and a one armed bandit. Lol. No, excuse the joke. I know you ain’t after sympathy and we have all done daft mistakes hurting ourselves, and you have had more than your fair share of injuries. Just glad you guys are now in your new home - there will be time for the makeover when you are both fighting fit again. Take care mate and hope you both are pain free sooner than later.
Sorry to hear about your arm mate hopefully it heals quick and you can get playing your other games aswell. I felt like I was in pain when you were describing what had happened. I think the cabs look wicked lined up like that it looks like it has an Arcade feel to it. I'm happy that you finally have a nice space where eventually you'll be able to play and appreciate your arcades. Cheers Alex take it easy mate
Dude I’m sorry I made you feel uneasy watching, actually didn’t think it would make so many feel uneasy. Not the easiest thing to hear I know. Thanks for your support buddy and let’s hope we can meet up soon at revival for a beer 🍺
Sorry buddy It’s funny I’m the same when folks tell me horror stories like that and going back and watching this myself I’m feeling week.😬 Thanks for your support Tighe my long standing friend and supporter. Take care bro
Thanks dude It’s not a touch on your amazing arcade but I’ve got my favourites. Can’t believe you’ve got a bank panic and swimmer, two excellent games and extremely rare. My rescue is a prototype from the Chris oberth who created the game. I’m so lucky to have it.
@@TheArcadeArchive Nice man that's awesome! Now that you mention it, I remember seeing your video when you got the Rescue prototype. That's amazing. And I appreciate the kind words! The Bank Panic was a game that I restored, and it took me a long time to piece back together. But so happy that I have it. And Swimmer was a lucky find, I got it for basically nothing back in 2016. It hadn't been turned on in 10 years and was sitting in a partially covered garage for 10 years, in a bit of snow. Despite that, the cabinet was actually in decent condition. They're both great games and feel lucky that I have both. If you ever travel to the US, you're welcome to play them! :)
@@cosmiccottagearcade I’m definitely coming back to USA to see my good friend Whitney. Do you follow his podcast ? He lives in Kentucky I used to be on a podcast and we covered swimmer and I really enjoyed it. And I actually got offered one a couple of years back but didn’t have the space. Beautiful artwork on the cab.
@@TheArcadeArchive Nice, I'm not in that area, I'm about 40 minutes north of Boston. What is the name of his podcast? I may have heard it in the past. But I'll definitely check it out!
@@cosmiccottagearcade it’s the broken token podcast Me and Whitney did the sky skipper project a few years ago, that’s how I know him. Should love to got to Boston.
Take it easy and I hope you and your Mrs get on the mend. The arm will heal up in no time and your lucky it wasn’t much worse. Looking forward to seeing the arcade progress once you’re mobile again 👍🏻👊🏻 Stay safe
Ha ha I don’t know about that Dave 😂 My left hand is so much slower to reactions. I’m really struggling to get over 20k tbh But definitely getting better at destroying the mother ship. Thanks dave 😎👍
OMG..what a story Alex. I hope you get well soon and that you can you work on the new home. Very cool space you got there mate. I know what you are taking about. Me and my family will move house in two months. I also will have a very nice gameroom in the new house. Not that big but I'm sure I will enjoy it to the fullest. Good luck mate.
Man, that really does sound traumatic; my hands were sweating while you told that story. Still, as you say, could be worse, so I'm glad you're okay. The room has so much potential, can't wait to see what you do with it! Stay safe mate.
That story sounds like you were reinacting a real life Donkey Kong... did you jump a rolling barrel before the ladder descent...?! All joking aside, what a horrendous tale. I can't even stand the sight of a broken bone in a movie clip. I hate it when I wake up having slept on my arm and it's completely numb and I have to pick it up and move it manually - feels like a zombie arm! Eew. Anyway, the hardest part is done... getting into your own arcade! From this point on... onwards and upwards... just not via a ladder.
Lol wish i was in the game Dk I would have grabbed the hammer and smashed the ladders up 😂 Waking up with a dead arm is horrible I know that feeling. No twin stick shooters for me for a while. Thanks for your support buddy much appreciated 😎👍
Andrew Butler Thanks Andrew You know what buddy I’ve never been a fan of Pac-Man, but ladybug or qbert would be cool. Thanks mate and hope to see you soon.
Ahh mate, nothing is easy in your life is it! Jeez. You're such a great storyteller, I was imagining how you must have felt all the way. Wishing you (and Mrs) speedy recovery and some good luck 🕹️👍
Nothing is ever easy mate 😂 Just hope I’m worthy now to live in this house and have this amazing arcade. I’m terrible at story telling 😂 Thanks for your support mate, really appreciate it 😎👍
Mate! That is an awesome arcade space!! I judge how wide it was in the photos before, but seeing the row of the left and Rescue of the right, there is plenty of space to stand / walk between them if they were all forward facing. It’s going to be cool seeing the arcade come together mate! Just rest up that arm for now and I’m sure you have got several weeks of healing in you yet to make plans for cables, insulation and locating reclaimed scaffold boards 😎 I hope you both have a speedy recovery and always about for a chat mate if you get bored 👍🏼
Thanks dave I just need to work to get the money to get the work done so it’s going to have ages 😩 Had loads of work lined up too, so frustrating mate. It’s a fantastic space and could wish for anything more tbh. Can’t wait for you to see it Dave. Speak soon buddy
Hey Alex gotta say I was cringing with the story on Breaking your arm 🤢 Your pair are going through the wars at the moment. Bet you wished you’d left the mega drive in the loft should have got the down SNES instead 😂 but seriously take care bro and rest that arm!! The new arcade room looks amazing looking forward to the journey and hope to visit sometime next year 👍🏻 Both of you take care. All the best jay
Lol I’m cursed by the megadrive 😂 I couldn’t get to the Snes mate which was frustrating. Still gives me chance to check out the inferior games list 😂 As soon as this crap is over your be the first to be invited mate. Thanks buddy I really appreciate your support 😎👍
Holy moly. I was feeling queasy just listening to your description of what happened. It sounded like a scene from Evil Dead 2. And it was your wanking arm as well ;-) Hope you're on the mend now and feeling more positive about things. The arcade looks amazing. Well done!
Great to see a new video again mate! Despite the mishap (Ooooh Matron! lol) and frustrating I'm sure, plenty of time to sit and plan out the Arcade / Game Room some more. Talking of Pinball what's your thoughts on those "Virtual Pinball" setup's? One of those could be quite cool attached to the wall as it's practically an LCD screen in a wooden box! lol A couple of heavy duty hinges on the wall so it folds flat when not in use and could also double up as TATE setup and a vertical virtual poster display! Ok, I'm getting carried away now mate, I'll have to build one myself. I'm like Elon Musk - I never stop thinking. Catch you soon Napoleon ;)
Hi David I’ve got a good woman lucky to look after me. Getting my daily wash 🧽 ding dong 😂 Virtual pinball i have looked at but considering how good the VR pinballs are on the current consoles I wouldn’t bother. Think I’ll stay a vid guy for quite a while unless I win the lottery. Thanks for your kind words buddy
Long time Sub from the 🇺🇸. Thanks for posting and giving me something other than all this protest anti police madness . Nice 👍🏼 room and games. Get better soon !
Hey pal, I broke my leg really badly once and was in a similar situation so I'm there with you bud. Good to see you're staying positive and making the best of it. Looking forward to seeing how the arcade pans out.
Thanks Tony I’ve got to say yesterday I felt really bad. It’s so frustrating it really is, feel like I’m in a straight jacket most of the time it’s horrible. Thanks for your kind words though mate.
Mate I was getting squeamish hearing about that arm sliding back and forth like a door 😂Good to here you’re on the mend mate. Room looks awesome hopefully you’ve got some space for a decent bass amp stack 🤘😉
Oh you bet Paul Nice big bass set up and a synth. Might ask you when I am ready to buy a amp which one is best. Glad I made you feel week at the knees 😂 Take care my good friend and thanks for your support buddy.

Hey Alex, Just a thought why not get a 5.5kva 110v transformer and setup some 110v outlets for the cabs as your going to be basically rewiring the games room.
Only suggest that because I'm looking at doing it myself.
i did wonder if you can "build" that in...im no sparky but great minds!

I’ll definitely look it to that for sure 😎👍

@@TheArcadeArchive Right on man
Now you have room for a red tent vs cab.
Maybe get a one arm bandit instead of the pinball? A classic Bell Fruit would be just the job!
Lol 😂 ha ha that would have made a great title for this vid.

Really appreciate your kind words of support.
Oh man.... I feel for you both... I had a similar accident not long ago doing something stupid up a ladder... and yes.... you appreciate that if you had hit your head on the way down.... makes you think! Live long and prosper.
Ladders are dangerous. Something like most construction injuries or something.
They fail, slip and such
That arm description made me feel sick man. Get well soon mate.
Sorry mate, but felt I needed to tell the story.
Thanks 👍
Hahahahaha fcuking hell im crying here, you explaining how you broke your arm, fcuking hell Alex comedy gold "it flopped round and smacked me in the face, then flopped to the ground and i thought...thats broke"

I was really tied making that video and looked it too .
There’s not a lot I can do so I might as well rest.
Just so frustrating
You must have been too happy dude! That´s dangerous. Always something goes wrong when you are happier than ever before :D
Yea I agree
Going to put on a miserable face now for the rest of my life 😂

OMG, take care. As we get older we have to be more conscious of our limitations, as you're finding out. Wow. You might wanna do what my grandparents did, which was to have a little button connected to a light and a buzzer in the main house, so they could signal each other if they needed something.
Thanks Andrew
I wish I had been more careful this is so frustrating 😩
Definitely worth having some form of contact with the house.
I’m taking it easy for a while mate I need my Robotron hand back 😂
Get well with your arm Alex 👍👍🇬🇧
Thanks so much Richard
Wow now what a story about your arm! What a situation to be in..Fair play for keeping your composure in the heaviest of scenarios!! Think your right we all take things for granted even ladders, but pleased you didn’t break anytime more serious including your head! You and your lady will laugh over this once the house and barn is at its peak of greatness. What game did you actually wanted to play on the mega drive before all of that craziness? lol 😆 take it easy bud!
Oh luke I’m so lucky
And I really appreciate your kind words buddy.
Well I wanted to play midnight resistance after sega zombie recommended it.
But I can’t even hold the controller 😩
Well that swollen hand is gonna make certain bits of your anatomy look smaller than you remember so stick with the left for now 😉 wish you a full and speedy recovery.
Ha ha 😂
Thanks mate
Also, i eyeballed my game room and things havent fit like i thought it would. Need to measure the room and games and do a rough out on graph paper. and see what works best.
I’ve done that so many times.
I would like sky skipper actually to stand alone somewhere in my games room but struggling to work out what’s best.
Always good to work it out on paper if you can, save moving the bloody things.
Alexis, Oh god man the description got me yelling out loud. Feeling for you and your lady right now. Just mortified. Hope you find some healing.
Awww I’m sorry buddy
It’s grim I know but had to tell the story 😬
Thanks for the kind words
You guys will pull through!! You have a whole community of support right here!! In our prayers!!
PS turn up your mic mate! Intro is loud and you're too low!
Hi jason
So sorry about the sound quality,I found out later my mic was dirty and blocked.
I do apologise.
I really appreciate your support thanks mate
That's a great space with loads of potential! looking forward to see what you do with it. Keep checking on your arm and hand Alex, make sure you get the best treatment you can whilst its still healing. Good luck and I hope the arm recovers in quick time.
Thanks Darren
Hopefully Thursday I’ll find out if it’s healing properly.
Bloody frustrating
Awesome line up get well soon
Thanks Darren
A few more cabs to add next year hopefully
Thanks for your support
Get well soon. Arcade is going to be great
Thanks Troy much appreciated mate 😎👍
Get well soon Alex.
Thanks buddy
Really appreciate your support 👍
Watching with my other half who went green as you explained the accident. Wishing you all the best with the recovery. Looking forward to the journey coming with the gamesroom. Pleased you got the megadrive set up in the end (needed to put a 'NO MEGADRIVES WERE INJURED PRIOR TO FILMING THIS VIDEO)
Lol I’m making sure the megadrive gets a good battering 😂
Actually been going through the everdrive list this morning.
Still prefer the Snes any day but it’s got some classics.
Sorry to make your wife feel green 😬
I’m the same when people tell me story’s like that but fine when it’s my own.
I think you made a few people ill with your description mate 😂 Hope you and the missus have a speedy recovery mate so you both can enjoy your beautiful new house 😍
The new arcade will look fantastic when you;ve put your personal touches to it for sure, and the machines look ace lined up like that!
Lol bloody sega megadrive
Your right 😂
Thanks for your kind words mate
Sorry to hear about your arm Alex. Wishing you a speedy recovery and get well soon and the same with your partner.
From one of my longest supporters, thank you so much mate 😎👍
Gutted for you about your arm mate, you must be itching to get the arcade done and to look after Nush
Just one of those things mate, we’ve all done silly things on ladders as you say “it could’ve been worse”
Few months and you’ll be back getting decent rescue scores
So ironic it was getting a Sega MegaDrive🙈
Really envious of that huge space
Lol never want to see another megadrive 😂
Actually been going through the everdrive for it this morning.
Still think the Snes is far superior.
Thanks for your kind words mate and your be one of the first to come over.
Mate I was wincing while you described your arm crunching and swinging 😣lol
What can I say... just rest and let that arm mend Bruv and FFS no more ladders lol
That arcade mate is going to be absolutely amazing and so deserved mate so looking forward to the journey ahead and can’t wait until this lockdown is over and your on the mend bud I will deffo be coming down to visit
Thanks so much Scott means a lot buddy.
I’m resting but quickly getting fed up with daytime tv 😂
I managed to play zombies ate my neighbors and slap fight on the megadrive yesterday.
That setup looks amazing, such a nice space to have, most of us in the UK don't have the luxury of dedicated spaces of this size.
Goodwins Place Thanks Craig
And sorry about the fine detail, I’ll keep that to cooking next time 😬
I’ll definitely be making sure the room is dry and warm throughout the year.
Unfortunately it’s going to be months now before I can do anything.
Thanks buddy
Get well mate!
Thanks mate much appreciated 😎👍
Man im really sorry to here about your arm and you partner. I hope you both feel better, i herniated a disc a couple years ago. Worst pain i ever felt in life. I had to get on a decompression machine at the chiropractor. It was a life save. Have her look into that if you can. On the positive note the arcade rooms look great. 9 cabs is awesome. Cant wait to see the room all done when you heal up. Im up to 7 cabs now myself and trying to get a couple pinballs down the road. Be safe brother and i hope you both get well
Thank you so much mate.
I’ve mentioned the treatment you’ve recommended to my partner and she’s really appreciative, thank you.
What cabs you got ?
TB46667 - The Golden Age Gamer thank you so much for all that information mate, extremely helpful 👍
Great line up of cabs too.
Dk and dkjr awesome 😎 👍
Get well soon.
Thanks mate
The new room looks amazing but.....bloody hell mate, glad you are ok....sounds like you’ve been through the mill.
New addition to my arcade is me, the one arm bandit 😂
Thanks for your kind words mate
Dude! so glad your okay! like you say things could have been worse so like you say just think about the positives!
Once your both healed, you will have one hell of a moving story to laugh about.
cant wait to see the log cabin arcade once it gets put together!
Thanks Eddie
It’s going to be 2 - 3 months before I can drive so it’s going to take ages.
It’s very frustrating but I’ve just got to get through this.
Hope your well buddy
The irony...Today i was wondering when Alex would post a new video:)
Get well asap mate!
Thanks mate I really appreciate it 😎👍
Get well soon Alex. Arcade looks fab already. Look forward to seeing the journey to it becoming the finished thing.
Thanks Russ
I’m frustrated but excited at the same time.
Hi Alex I hope your arm feels better soon.
The only bone I have broken is the 5th metacarple on my right hand by falling off a skate board while teaching my daughter how to use it without hurting herself 😅
That was 5 years ago and I've had no other breaks touch wood.
Hi Anthony from sunny Ireland 🇮🇪
Such kind words buddy, thank you.
New addition to my arcade is me, the one arm bandit 😂
8 weeks 😩 I was hoping 6 weeks for this.
Thanks for your support Stephen 👍
Thanks woby
Yes I told her about the mega drive lol
She was upset more than anything and I was the angry one.
Hi Anthony
Thanks for your support.
Lol did you mention Tart 🍰 mmmm ding dong 😜
Thanks Neil
Always appreciate your support buddy.
Hope we meet up soon.
D. R. Jarrell lol ha ha
I Did day thing 😂
I’ve had to much pain killers.
Thanks so much for your kind words mate means a lot 👍
Ladders 👎🏻 You would be surprised how many people are hurt on them. Had a neighbor fall straight down 10 feet and landed stiff legged. Broke both ankles !!
I know mate, people fall of the first run and break there back.
I’m counting my blessings.
Jeez man! I'm glad it wasn't worse even if it's bad enough. I look forward to see the progress of your new arcade room. Must be very exciting. Get well soon m8!
Thanks buddy much appreciated.
I can’t wait but I’ve got 3 months before I can do anything 😩
Mate, your very detailed description of what happened made me feel quite anxious. What an ordeal! You're right though Alex, moving house is horrible. We did it Nov 1st last year and it was traumatic, although we didn't have to move nine chuffing arcade cabs and no bones were broken. It'll all be worth it in the end. Hope you both get well and remember this... at least you got the Megadrive! ; )
Ha ha at least I got the megadrive 😂
Some say it happened because of the MD being a Nintendo channel.
I’m glad it wasn’t the Snes or that would have been damaged
Thanks for your support mate 😎👍
Bloody hell mate when it rains it pours. At least you’re laughing about it now. Take care of yourself and your partner. Cheers.
Thanks buddy much appreciated 😎👍

Thanks for your support
@@TheArcadeArchive cool :)
ok that's good wot be nice to get the
Magazine out next year ;D was suppose to be nr1 ;D lol
Take care and take it easy.
Awww mate sorry to hear about your nan, reminds me of when my Nan was in hospital after braking her hip.
She was left in a puddle of her urine for hours.
Thing was when I was there the place was virtually empty .
Thank you so much for your kind words and support.
That's a great space Alex. Mend quickly young sir. Got to get back to prime arcading ASAP
Thanks Sull
It’s so frustrating mate it really is,feel like I’m in a straight jacket all the time it’s horrible.
Thanks for your support buddy
Sorry for chuckling, but I'd like to see what position you'd have to get into in order to play Robotron with that arm! LOL
Lol don’t apologise i find it funny myself.I might get a prosthetic arm and pretend I’m playing 😂
That story about breaking your arm has made my body hurt .....Ouch! Sorry to hear and hope it’s healing well mate 👍
Thanks mate
It’s going to be 3 months for a recovery.
Awww thanks Nick
Much appreciated mate
And yes the latest pick up is me, the one arm bandit 😂
I about passed out listening to the story Alex! Yikes! Horrible! Still listening.
Sorry buddy
It’s funny I’m the same when folks tell me horror stories like that and going back and watching this myself I’m feeling week.😬
Thanks for your support Tighe my long standing friend and supporter.
Take care bro
@@TheArcadeArchive you should get a foot pedal like I suggested
Man, I am so jealous of that dedicated Rescue machine. I love that game. Awesome youtube channel by the way, love all the content you have!
Thanks dude
It’s not a touch on your amazing arcade but I’ve got my favourites.
He lives in Kentucky
I used to be on a podcast and we covered swimmer and I really enjoyed it.
@@cosmiccottagearcade it’s the broken token podcast
Me and Whitney did the sky skipper project a few years ago, that’s how I know him.
Should love to got to Boston.
Take it easy and I hope you and your Mrs get on the mend. The arm will heal up in no time and your lucky it wasn’t much worse. Looking forward to seeing the arcade progress once you’re mobile again 👍🏻👊🏻 Stay safe
Thanks mate for you kind words.
It’s very frustrating, feel like I’m in a straight jacket everyday.
Hopefully these 6 weeks will go very quickly.
Amazing house like you said it’s cost you a broken arm but fair play 👍🥳 looking forward to the new space
Yep your right Lee
I’m feeling worthy of the house and arcade now, well at least I bloody hope so 😂
Nintendo Arcade you have proved to your new hone your worthy dear chap
Sorry Alex as the arm break story developed it had me in stitches 😂
😂 yea you got to laugh mate
So you gonna be the GORF champ as that is all u can do for 6 weeks
Ha ha I don’t know about that Dave 😂
My left hand is so much slower to reactions.
I’m really struggling to get over 20k tbh
But definitely getting better at destroying the mother ship.
Oh good luck moving and don’t get to stressed out if you can.
Exciting to have a nice games room mate.😎👍
@@TheArcadeArchive thanks mate. Will follow the advice. Surely looking forward.
Oh mate... lesions to be learnt here is to stick to Nintendo :)
Lol to right mate
Say NO to sega 😂
Thanks for your messages mate it’s much appreciated
Sorry to hear that you had an accident. Get well soon
Thanks for your support jon
3 years ago this week we met at Atlanta
Man, that really does sound traumatic; my hands were sweating while you told that story. Still, as you say, could be worse, so I'm glad you're okay. The room has so much potential, can't wait to see what you do with it! Stay safe mate.
Thanks Pete
Definitely would not wish it on anyone it’s horrendous.
So frustrating as well being in this sling 😩
Thanks for your support buddy
That story sounds like you were reinacting a real life Donkey Kong... did you jump a rolling barrel before the ladder descent...?!
All joking aside, what a horrendous tale. I can't even stand the sight of a broken bone in a movie clip. I hate it when I wake up having slept on my arm and it's completely numb and I have to pick it up and move it manually - feels like a zombie arm! Eew.
Anyway, the hardest part is done... getting into your own arcade! From this point on... onwards and upwards... just not via a ladder.
Lol wish i was in the game Dk I would have grabbed the hammer and smashed the ladders up 😂
Waking up with a dead arm is horrible I know that feeling.
No twin stick shooters for me for a while.
Thanks for your support buddy much appreciated 😎👍
@@TheArcadeArchive Get well soon to you both!
Major bummer about the arm, but you know what they say... an arm for an armcade.
Lol haven’t heard that one mate but I’m owning it 😂👍
Thanks buddy
Right now Alex, you need a Pac-Man 😉 Your new arcade is goin to be great! Get well soon - the both of you.
Andrew Butler Thanks Andrew
You know what buddy I’ve never been a fan of Pac-Man, but ladybug or qbert would be cool.
Thanks mate and hope to see you soon.
@@TheArcadeArchive Only meaning that you could play it with one hand mate, as it's just the 4-way and no buttons 👍
So happy for you! Can’t wait to see the progress!
Thanks bro
I can’t believe it’s 3 years this week we met in Atlanta.
Nintendo Arcade
Time flies!
ouch good luck with the arm man
Thanks mate much appreciated
Get well soon Alex!
Thanks for your support mate
OH SO PLEASED TO SEE YOU BACK MATE.
Thanks dude
Ahh mate, nothing is easy in your life is it! Jeez. You're such a great storyteller, I was imagining how you must have felt all the way. Wishing you (and Mrs) speedy recovery and some good luck 🕹️👍
Nothing is ever easy mate 😂
Just hope I’m worthy now to live in this house and have this amazing arcade.
I’m terrible at story telling 😂
Thanks for your support mate, really appreciate it 😎👍
Thanks dave
I just need to work to get the money to get the work done so it’s going to have ages 😩
Had loads of work lined up too, so frustrating mate.
It’s a fantastic space and could wish for anything more tbh.
Can’t wait for you to see it Dave.
Speak soon buddy
Gutted for you mate, you've finally got your room and this happens ☹️.
Hope your arm knits quickly so you can get on with your room.
Thanks Dave
It’s so frustrating I can tell you and it’s only the first week 😩
Really appreciate you kind words buddy.
Hey Alex
gotta say I was cringing with the story on Breaking your arm 🤢
Your pair are going through the wars at the moment. Bet you wished you’d left the mega drive in the loft should have got the down SNES instead 😂 but seriously take care bro and rest that arm!! The new arcade room looks amazing looking forward to the journey and hope to visit sometime next year 👍🏻
Both of you take care.
All the best jay
Lol I’m cursed by the megadrive 😂
I couldn’t get to the Snes mate which was frustrating.
Still gives me chance to check out the inferior games list 😂
As soon as this crap is over your be the first to be invited mate.
Thanks buddy I really appreciate your support 😎👍
Holy moly. I was feeling queasy just listening to your description of what happened.
It sounded like a scene from Evil Dead 2.
And it was your wanking arm as well ;-)
Hope you're on the mend now and feeling more positive about things.
The arcade looks amazing. Well done!
Lol ha ha ha
I feel like a bloody zombie 😂
Thanks for your support buddy 😎👍
Hi David
I’ve got a good woman lucky to look after me.
Getting my daily wash 🧽 ding dong 😂
Virtual pinball i have looked at but considering how good the VR pinballs are on the current consoles I wouldn’t bother.

Good to see you post.
To much crap going on in the world I know, I’m fed up with it myself.
Thanks for all your support mate means a lot 😎👍
Hey pal, I broke my leg really badly once and was in a similar situation so I'm there with you bud. Good to see you're staying positive and making the best of it. Looking forward to seeing how the arcade pans out.

I’ve got to say yesterday I felt really bad.
It’s so frustrating it really is, feel like I’m in a straight jacket most of the time it’s horrible.
Thanks for your kind words though mate.

Oh you bet Paul
Nice big bass set up and a synth.
Might ask you when I am ready to buy a amp which one is best.
Glad I made you feel week at the knees 😂
