It's wise to consider safe-haven assets amidst uncertainty. Investing in U.S. defense stocks could be a prudent choice, given the current geopolitical climate, as they tend to be more resilient during times of turmoil.
I agree. Defense stocks do well in times of geopolitical instability, as long as there's no financial fraud. Defense ETFs help spread risk by investing in different companies in the sector.
While defense stocks and ETFs are smart choices, don’t forget about the historical role of gold during uncertain times. Its value tends to rise as a hedge against geopolitical risks. How about allocating a portion of the prtfolio to gold?
As I approach retirement, I like gold for its steady value. My fin advsr, monica mary strigle, also explores alternative invstmnts like digital assets.
Why is Germany rejecting Ukraine aid? They seem pretty close to Russia and at least claim to be economically significant in the EU. IF they can not put money towards helping Ukraine then who can?
@@jerrymiller9039 2 reasons, the first being that Germany is really struggling financially. Since the war their access to cheap Russian oil has gone and they’ve had to resort to buying more expensive US oil. The second reason is that Ukraine is rumoured to have been responsible in blowing up the pipeline connecting Russias natural gas and oil to Germany. Both of these make it incredibly challenging for Germany to justify continuing aid packages, but I imagine pressures from NATO will make them eventually go back on this
@@Ededdneddy9 They are not even close to struggling as much as Ukraine is so if they want to be considered a leader in Europe they need to step up when it is hard, not just when it is easy. No excuse.
@@jerrymiller9039 Germany was fully willing to support Ukraine but made it clear that they would continue purchasing Russian gas, as Germany must put Germany first and not Ukraine In response to this Ukraine (at least what the Germans believe) blew up the Nordstream pipeline tanking Germany’s economy. Even then Germany still maintained aid packages but as they continued their investigation and as the Ukrainians became less cooperative (mainly disallowing German officers from being able to question Ukrainian suspects for the damage of the pipelines) they changed their stance Germany doesn’t owe Ukraine anything, it has shown support for years and in return has been sabotaged time after time. Not too mention where on earth will the money come from for them to “step up” anyway? They’re broke, their manufacturing industry has plummeted and it’s standing as a top European power has diminished thanks to the war.
Because whole this war between Ukraine and Russia has been provoked by US to weakened EU economy. The best way was hit in Germany economy as the biggest in Europe by conflict EU with Russia and to stop cheap Russian gaz fueled German economy. Another example of careless selfish behavior of cowboys from CIA. I do not expect that to many people will accept this explanation as most of them are victims of Reuters monopoly for news and information. This is called democracy. Kaddafi has been killed only because he wanted sell oil to EU countries for Euro instead US dollar. And CIA stepped forward.
Let's hope that the world will become worse off. Let's hope that economy will collapse. Let's hope that Dow will drop below 40000 ppints tonight. Lets also hope that Vix will rise to 25+ points. Thank you. 🙏🏾🙏🤔
