When I caught COVID at my job, I was sick for a week. I used a LOT of asthma nebulizer solution to keep my lungs pried open. I'm one of the few people still wearing a mask.
@@littlebitofhope1489 wearing masks in public these days is a great idea! I don’t care what strangers think of me. A mask, in the grand scheme of things, isn’t as oddball as clothing worn to go to Walmart. Yeah, they’re not always comfortable and when it feels mandated, it’s less comfortable. But ultimately we’re in charge of our own bodies. I’m not going to come down with covid variant F.U.Twice bc I feel weird about using personal protective gear.
Can you please cover any efforts from companies that are trialing far-UVC light technology? Having a hard time understanding what efforts are looking like to implement these lights in public spaces. And maybe cover a bit of the science behind the development/how it works?
I'm curious about this, too, and for a mix of reasons. ( I wonder if these types, similar to the UVC wand, or air filters that have that built into them , are also a risk for exposing people to varying degrees of carcinoma. I do understand that far-UVC is intended for ceilings, but the sun is even further away, and still can cause skin cancer over time. The light within filters, as far as I have seen in one model shines around it, though I have not tested the intensity of that glow, nor know if it would have any effect on people.) I appreciate that antimicrobial resistance is reduced, since those antimicrobial cleaning products are reduced or skipped. ( Regular soap and water with friction kills the virus, the other offers a chance for it to adapt.) Even so, possible other health issues, that might lead to more people on immunosuppressant medication for cancer, and any suffering related to those experiences, must be avoided. I hope UVC can be safely incorporated into closed sections of building HVAC systems, as long as that is actually not a cancer risk.

I still do, but yeah, I get looks. It's hard.

Wearing it in 90+f is really annoying, when I need to.
@@grmpEqweer It is. And I find that not being able to smile is more troubling than I would have expected. It's very uncomfortable.
@@grmpEqweerThen just drop the no-good mask! It didn't prevent you from getting covid, so what's the point?

Thank you so much.
Thank you for doing this.
Doing what? Monotonously droning on with irrelevant "facts"?
Really appreciate it, as always.
Can't say thank you enough. You really drive the point home. The reiteration of the protections they get and expect us to go without was striking.
You can wear all the masks you want, and distance yourself from other people as much as you want. But don't expect me to pay for your masks!
Another great video! Thanks, people's CDC!
Thanks for the info!
Thank you for this excellent video. Can you please add a link to the Idaho University study to the video description above?
We'll put it here. It's a preprint and still under review: www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2023.07.21.23292785v1.full-text
