COVID This Week / Government Claws Back COVID Funding Knowing What Long COVID Does / June 10, 2023

- We cover the state of global COVID and the state of U.S. COVID. We also cover how the CDC is framing its superspreader event in Atlanta and how the Biden administration is helping claw back COVID funding. And we’ll explore what those two efforts say about how far the political class is prepared to rationalize allowing Long COVID spread through the American people.
"COVID This Week" is produced by Vlad Jean, Shumon Alam, Rob Wallace, Rita Valenti, Les Schaffer, Bennett Torres, Zoe Levitt, Mary Jirmanus Saba, and the People's CDC.
EDIT: We misspoke. We meant to say, "[T]he position CDC is explicitly staking is that COVID is no longer harmful." Not that "CDC is no longer harmful." We apologize for what appears a Freudian slip.
Our apologies also that we were tardy in posting this episode. You will no longer be able to submit your comments on the Federal Register to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid to tell them to prevent hospital acquired COVID. But you can read about these efforts as the People's CDC contributed to them here: peoplescdc.sub...
I say it once again:
I wish the People's CDC was in charge of policy.
I have written to my representatives and Senators, called the White House, written op-eds papers have deemed not worth publishing---
I just can't believe what is happening regarding this pandemic. The gaslighting, the indifference.
I'm a caregiver for both of my immunocompromised parents. I am worried almost all of the time.
💯💯💯💯💯
The People's CDC would have us all masked up and locked down for ever. So no thank you!
Thank you for an excellent video! Thanks for everyone who commented and liked, that is what brought the channel to my attention.
Thanks for the update. It's too bad you can't get this stuff on public access TV.
Thanks Rob!
Re: memory problems: Look at how many "focus and mental clarity" supplements are hitting the markets right now. Their sections get bigger every week at drugstores and "health food" stores. Yet masking is below 1% in my area...
It is possible that 5G and other kinds of wireless transmissions are also having an effect on the human brain and nervous system.
No.
@@rwallace241 Reported that one for misinformation. It's like whack-a-mole, ugh. 🙄
@@kagitsune I'm reporting you!
Thank you so much for these round ups!
Thanks, Rob. So appreciate all of YOUR hard work--along with the People's CDC commitment to providing helpful tools despite efforts by the PTB to keep us in the dark. The traffic signal colors will be helpful in "keeping it real".
I submitted comments to the CMS. Hope enough others did too that they'll be swayed to make the ethical decision to protect all who seek healthcare.
Where can we find the sewage map shown at 17:50? I see a bright red dot for my city (indicating, apparently, that the amount of Covid-19 virus detected has gone up 1,000% or more in the last 15 days), but I haven't seen this information mentioned in local media or anywhere else.
CDC is still reporting these sewage data here: covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#wastewater-surveillance. One needs to keep the baseline in mind when looking at those transient dynamics. Is it a true surge or a burp off a lowering floor (to mix metaphors)?
I'm done with this nearly-four-year nightmare - why can't I wake up?
Global gaslighting. 🤦♀
Thank you comrade!
Have hospital-acquired Covid-19 infections been shown to be a problem now that compulsory masking has largely been abandoned in such settings? I've heard that Covid-19 has in many cases spread through nursing homes like wildfire (especially when staff refuse to mask), leading to a lot of infections and deaths, but haven't heard of such infections spreading through hospitals.
C'est Tragique 😢
Yes, the CDC is definitely still harmful. 🤣
Sorry for the late comment. RUclips did not put this video in my notifications.
