He’s truly feeling the piece here! No intellect, all heart! Love it!
Wunderschöne Aufführung dieses impressionistischen Meisterstücks im lyrischen Tempo mit anmütigen Töne des Klaviers und effektiv kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!
Beautifully expressive.
the coughhhhh arghhhhhhh
That was wonderful playing. Lang Lang is a great pianist.
Gorgeous!
Bravo. Beautiful music 🎹 Thanks 🎹
nice! love that piece, lang lang's interpretation is quite dreamy with a sense of dread and unknowing, very enjoyable. I play it "the same" way, at least it sounds like it to my hobbyist ears. :P
Un doux rêve grâce à toi !Merci pour cette interprétation jouée avec ton cœur ❤
улетела. замечательная аранжировка.
Suavidade, delicadeza....🇧🇷💆🏻♀️
Sim, você está realmente certo!
Wonder how many times he’s played this piece to get to the level of letting his heart take total control in the playing
Love 郎❤️

Get the people with lung problems some help before attending these concerts; otherwise you are interrupted by hacking and coughing. Ridiculous.
Thus is the limitations of a live performance. Lang Lang has great cough-free performances on Spotify if you're interested!
Chill.. That's just normal human body.
Lol theres always that one or two people in a performance.
bruh 😂
❤❤❤❤❤

I think that everyone watching and listening to this video should be aware that when WQXR (the "non-commercial" radio station that has commercials) holds a Fundraising Drive imploring listeners to save the station the contributions that are collected do not go to WQXR but go, rather, into the general operating fund of its parent company, WNYC, which uses the money to support 4 public radio stations in NJ, the $900.000 annual salary (+ benefits) of the president of WNYC, and whatever else WNYC wants to spend it on?
I think that this is misleading, deceptive and wrong. I have let my opinion on this matter be known to both stations without receiving any satisfactory response. I am considering contacting the FCC and WQXR's sponsors (which they refer to as their "supporters") to complain about this dishonest practice.
기침하는 사람 치워버리고 싶다
BPM somewhat sluggish,
Dynamics incongruous with Reverie,
Phrasing less than seamless ,
Passion he is to be sure committed & if anything overly so. However
The subtle bubbling simplicity of this early piece of Debussy has eluded the performer.
Can't watch the man's face.
Tempo is much too slow! ..his "acting" around the piano is a bit irritating to me: a big N O to this rendition..
Too slow.
A great movie actor. A bad performer. The massacre of the repertoire continues...
Quelle horreur, quelle laideur dans cette affectation, ce maniérisme, cet exhibitionnisme sans aucune pudeur. C'en est dégoûtant et la musique n'en ressort pas grandie. Quelle différence d'avec la merveilleuse Wang ... - What horror, what ugliness in this affectation, this shameless mannerism, this exhibitionnisme wihout any modesty. It is disgusting and the music doesn't grow better. What a difference from the wonderful Yuja Wang...
Lang Lang is an amazing pianist, but why does he have to play it so slowly and tried to turn this piece into some grandiose and transcendent composition? I love Reverie...and Debussy wrote Reverie when he was really young...it's not some revelation like when Beethoven wrote his 9th Symphony...Lang Lang is unnaturally milking the piano like he's milking a cow with this performance, and then the "dream" turns into a nightmare in the loud sections of the piece.
You'd have been better advised to leave your comment to the first clause in the first sentence.
This is the best performance of this piece I've seen/heard yet. I think it's perfection. No nightmare for me. The timing and the dynamics- wonderful. Everyone else seems so drab by comparison.
Why don't you listen to "Claude Debussy plays Debussy" It's at almost exactly the same tempo; perhaps they're both "daydreaming, lost in thought?"
@@karaann5176 Lang Lang is definitely milking the piece...Debussy's performance, while eccentric, sounds sincere...Lang Lang's performance is about 30 seconds longer than Debussy's...it's ridiculously long...Katherine Stott's performance of Reverie, while sounding slow, is still 30 seconds shorter than Lang Lang's...Ronan O'Hora has a great recording of Reverie and it clocks in at 40 seconds shorter...Alice Sara Ott has a mesmerizing live performance of Reverie and it's about 50 seconds shorter than Lang Lang's. Lang Lang's performance is an anomaly, and not in a good way.
@@alrosen9092 Amazing, not perfect.
