- The Point of View (short story) by Stanley G. Weinbaum
"The Point of View" allows one to see the world from another's perspective.
Published January 1936 ~ Wonder Stories Развлечения
Weinbaum was an innovative voice in science fiction - Isaac Asimov was a great admirer of his. He died at age 33, less than two years after his first published science fiction story ("A Martian Odyssey"). I always wonder what great works he would have produced if he had lived longer.
Beautifully read!
"...psychons, the unit particle of thought" Love it!
Cool little story. Loved the ending. Funny.
This story is great. It gives us a glimpse of the psychology of those in the past. The fellow wanted to psychoanalyze the doctors assist. He spent weeks doing a psychoanalysis of this fellow. The conviction of those men is mind blowing. Today you see the doctor. A couple of minutes. A blood test and a quick synopsis, here a drug see you later, bye. We really have to start loving are fellow man.

Damn, it's 2019, and we're getting dumber. In 1936 we still had hope.
