Thank you for the video. It was very helpful for me. I recently started playing an Aasimir Light Cleric and I'm a little lost. You've given me some ideas, especially melee vs. blaster. I normally play characters that like to mix it up, but I'm now realizing my light cleric might do better at range, and being more supportive. Thanks, again for the video.
Wow! You bring up a great point about using your reaction to blind an attacking enemy as a way to ramp up your ability to maintain those juicy concentration spells. I always thought this domain was pretty average, but your review has really changed my mind. Would you ever consider doing a review on the Death Domain cleric?
Variant human starting with War Caster, then elemental adept fire at level four, then ASI on Wisdom at levels eight and twelve. Any other feat would come afterwards, including healer.
Highly disagree with scorching ray. it's the best single target spell in the game. with the right build, it definitely scales well. there's so many tools now to pump the dmg up such as hexblade's curse, the new bugbear from MOM, pumping accuracy via advantage + elven accuracy, spirit shroud, hex, bestow curse, asssinate, etc. granted though, i would't play that scorcher as a light cleric and i'd consider sorcs or efreetilocks instead.
@@thedungeon1578 I think it'd be cool once you get to sorcs, if you do your own version of the scorcher. there are of course some out there but the only one that seems to have created some awareness of it is the war wizard scorcher treantmonk did. imo sorcs and warlocks can do this better.
great info. i'm gonna rewatch it before i run as cleric this weekend. thanks for the your guidance and may the light be with you. :)
Thanks! Light be upon you.

My pleasure. Glad I could help :)

Of course. I'm currently trying to work my way through all the PH subclasses, but I plan to do everything.
What do you think of a Wildfire Druid dipping into Cleric Light Domain?
meh. not alot of synergies there.

Good point about synergies with newer abilities, especially with some nice multi-class options.
