for the Nomad, you can open the cargo bed from inside either at the pilot console or by interacting with the tiny triangle window by the ladder. if you hit the window then exit the ship via ladder, then the bed will be all the way down before you get to it.
this is awesome video : D the effort put into attempt to put DS into a Cutty through it's belly is commendable! The pisces honorable mention is a cherry on a cake.
Absolutely loved the humour in this video and you've got me sold on the Freelancer (I have the cutlass and I don't know if it's just the current patch, but the ROC's wheels keep getting stuck inside the interior chassis of the cutty so I can never drive it back out again... not even with the tractor beam). You are an absolute _madman_ behind the wheel! You can forget about putting me on the mining arm of the DS! hahahah
Most entertaining and still very useful REVIEW/BEST video I have seen for Star Citizen! VERY well done! @ 3:05 ... I knew What was coming ... and LOL'D all the way to 3:37! 😂🤣😅
Hey StarStreams. There is one ship that deserves your attention; The Aquila. Amazing cockpit view! Great access ramp - perfect for both ROC and ROC-DS! Great controls. Awesome weapons and shield should pirates and griefers showed up. And land great. This may be the best Roc ship in the game and a seriously underappreciated gem.
@@starrstreams The Taurus has the most cargo room of all the Connies. It is my pic because it will fit at least 2 ROC and no ramps, it has an elevator instead.
Am currently using a Taurus myself, but the issue i find is that 1) the cargo lift has no lighting so you cant see that small rock youre about to land on (for evening/night mining) and 2) said small rock will be 'fine' until you drive the ROC off the ramp, to which the Connie will then ping off of it and may, more often than not in my case, end up on its top... Otherwise the Taurus is grand - i dont quite know why they didnt put the ramp bits on the front of the lift as well, as sometimes driving off of that will cause the Connie to have a fit too /shrug
@@starrstreams Just love my C2 lol. Had some dude attack me using his 325a, only for him to ram me as he was about to die. Dunno what he was doing but he let a C2 turn on him. All because my buddy in my ship had a CS lol.
They need to remake ramps to extend until they have a collision but obviously with a max would not want ramp extending to the ground when landed. If not landed they have a max length
very funny and entertaining video :) camera angles, music and editing also excellent! as for the ships the connnie series is defo worth mentioning as others indicated. One of my favorites in the game and which is also not mentioned in here is the beautiful and powerful 600i, she has much slower roll than the valkyrie but the same yaw/pitch values, great space / nice lift and should you need it packs awesome firepower. Also although much bigger, lets not forget ships like the carrack. you can easily fit in a rover and multiple rocs at the same time - big advantage here is the medBed/ spawn point, should you explode while mining.....
Great suggestions thanks. The ramps on the Origin ships tend to destroy my ROCs. I’ve used an 890 before for giggles. It didn’t end well hahaha. Never ever tried the Connie and that does seem popular!
I used to use a cutty black to roc mine. It worked just fine. I use a freelancer max now. I have used the msr, but found it too big for my tastes. Might try the ball though. Thanks for another great video!

ya forgot the Constellation. Tough, smaller profile on the ground than almost everything else other than nomad and cutlass.. and it can easily fit a DS... the Taurus can nearly fit two. the other connies can deploy a snub fighter to act as a second scanning ship for finding those bloody rocks.
yea but roc mining has you landing in crazy spots that the connie and even the freelancer have issues with. i think the cutty is #1 you can squeeze two roc's in it, it has a lower signature to help hide from pirates, and has an easier time finding a good place to land. it also has vtol to help in quick escapes to get out of atmo and jump away from those pirates and handles like a fighter instead of like a tugboat like the connie and freelancer.
@@eparock - nah, Connie would be superior to the Cutty for awkward spots imo; Cutty needs space at its rear to lower ramp (and then some for the ROC itself to be able to access that ramp - Connie on the other hand lowers its cargo lift under itself thus minimalizing the space needed to get on/off the ship with the ROC

@@starrstreams I wish I recorded it, but I did an URSA Rover recovery which was hilarious. Used my engine pods to turn it over on its wheels after it flipped over lol
I know you were (mostly) being silly with your ratings, but the part about the Nomad really demonstrates the need for a speed limiter in ground vehicles. If we could have the option of not completely flooring it when trying to go up that ramp, it would make things a lot easier. x.x Also, I got a ROC inside my Cutty Red and took it mining. I like the way the ship sounds but the visibility is poor compared to the Nomad. It was fun to fly if only for something different, at least.
@@starrstreams It's not easy, I did it mostly to see if I could. You have to pull in forward so that the ROC's door is facing the inner door on the Red, if that makes sense. idk if the Black is like this but you gotta be real careful not to be too close to either side of the bay or else the ROC will jump around. Once you get that, though, it works just fine! I haven't tested it but this might work on the Blue, too.
Funny video. Why you gotta do the Cutty Black dirty like that, tho! I love using it for ROC mining. The single seat ROC fits absolutely perfectly with no wasted space but plenty of room to move around in still. Being able to take off vertically like a rocket ship is always a plus, too :D
Great video. When I bought my first Cutty I went out to buy a ROC, unknowingly I bought the DS not knowing the difference. Hugh mistake what a waste of money. 😭😭😭
I still love using my MSR. You can fit more vehicles in there, the visibility is great and she's fast. It would be nice if the million doors you have to go through opened a little faster tho XD I dont get why you're like "nope" with the MSR? I personally feel the Hercules is just too dang big for a little bit of light mining. I'd understand if you're with a large group of people but good luck finding that much ore in one location that you need an army of ROCs tho. but I would like to see an army of ROCs just because that would look amazing. All those lasers.. also, I don;t know why the video turns into an acid trip now and then but whatever 😂
I think for its size the C2 has a pretty quick access. It takes me way longer to get in and out of the carrack. The elevator could be a bit faster tho.
C2 needs very flat area to land though so it can be a pain in the neck. Just stick to my cutty for now. I have heard great things about the valk, I have just never owned one.
how often do you die roc mining? never happened to me... besides where you gonna park it and the signature on that thing is like a giant neon sign to the pirates.
That endless hallway in the c2 feels like such wasted space it wouldn’t be so bad if not for so many doors the Hercules series ships need a remake. Also the cargo grid isn’t solid so vehicle placement is not park and forget.

The 4 wheel roc fits in the cutty black, but the 6 wheel Roc is bigger and wider (hint it also has two additional wheels) making it a girthy long boi
Damn, i was concidering buying the pisces for that purpose. Thanks, now i'm convinced it's the best choice.
Hahaha. It’s okay if you stay perfectly still
