My Polo DSG do jerks coming from 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st but, as the jerks can be felt from the driver's seat mostly. After taking a test drive of a Virtus GT it's still the same. Lastly it doesn't happen always due to the RPMs. Don't worry it's pretty normal for a DQ200 running on a dry crutch. Turn signal sound is really high too, ive noticed. Carplay lag is common in wireless mode plus depends on the iphone you are using.
Brother in my Virtus. I got the below issues. 1. Horn - Paid 2k extra and changed it 2. A.C is not good. Outside smells are influencing the ordor inside. 3. Power window not working sometimes. 4. Venti seats fan making heavy sound. 5. Till 1st service only 6 or 7 kmpl it was giving now it is giving around 15.6 kmpl 6. Ya back seats are little uncomfortable compared to city or any other but it's okay. Have fun 😊
3800Km on my Virtus. No problem for milage no problem for reverse camera and no problem at all for touch screen. Abhi aur chalao phir batao. You are lucky to own it. All the best.
I have a Vento 1.2 TSI with DSG (March 2018) model. Sometimes I do feel a bit of jerk when gear downshifts from 2nd to 1st gear. But just because of this, you want to miss the fun part of driving this beautiful and powerful engine with this gearbox or you want to drive that pathetic AMT or CVT gearbox with powerless engine's?? I am facing many issues. First of all the left side of the panel under AC has gaps right from day 1. Eventually it started to make a cracking noise. The AC sometimes makes weird noises, I hear a whistling noise sometimes. Sometimes I hear suspension make some noise at times that sounds like a loose nut.
wonderful video, I have Virtus DSG using it for ovey 7 months. It has done 5500 km so far and the issue you mentioned about the jerk while downshifting from 2nd to 1st gear is not faced by me at all, may be its something with your car. Do get it checked at service station. Yes Reverse camera quality is too bad and angle of coverage is too less, VW mut improve on it. Standard horns are very very bad sounding, earlier VW were supplying Air Pressure Horns by default but now you have to get it fitted by paying extra money. I am still waiting for these horns to be available at service center at my place Lucknow but so far they are not available. Yes ventilated seat fans are too noisy. Overall its a car pleasure to drive experience.
DSG issue common with many cars. I prefer manual always since automatic are not that exciting while driving.. I really love Virtus and I hope Volkswagen is listening to this and fix it so that I can buy this by next year 😁
I too have the same problem with the horn. Also some of the switches on the steering wheel do not function at all. Pointed this out to first service but problem not addressed by VW .. have now complained to the showroom hope to be treated better ..
I don't find any issue in this car since my friend is having Virtus 1.5 Gt since 2.5 months but he has literally not faced a single issues and car is running fine may be an issue with particular car
I have the same car and have been using it for almost 3 months. The issue with downshifting that you mentioned, I haven't faced the same. Downshift mostly happens when I am trying to stop the car to a standstill, as 2nd gear I feel is a more extended gear as compared to the 1st, car tries to stay in that gear until it thinks that I am trying to stop or climbing a very steep road at low speeds. As for negatives, I can say that I had the most issues with the wireless charging pad and the auto start-stop feature being too sensitive and I mean very very sensitive. as for mileage I now have figured out how to trigger ACT in most scenarios so it helps a lot in getting that mileage up as 50-60% of the duration my vehicle stays in ACT mode in heavy to medium traffic in Bangalore where roads and traffic condition is worse than almost all of the cities of its caliber.
@@CarGyaanByShashank I don't get it, you mean downshift is happening even on higher RPMs(>1000)? Though in manual mode also downshift will happen automatically to prevent the car from stalling at lower RPMs.

I own this same car(purchased in mar24, drove 4000km+) and i agree with you on AC sound point, but that happens only when you put it on max speed. Backseats are very comfortable sir, I have taken my mom dad(65+ age) Udaipur to jaipur(total 600 kms in one go) and they told me they did not even feel like tired. I am fully satisfied. Mileage ki baat karu toh city mein 10 to 12 deti hai which is fair considering its specs, highway pe toh raja hai yeh 25km bhi nikaal k de deti hain. Horn ki baat karu toh sir ji VW hi Audi bhi banati hai aur aap chahe jo premium car kharid lo horn ki sound aisi e hoti hai woh bhari base wali horn chhapri hoti hai. understand pls.. Carplay hang ka issue apka personal hai showroom m le jaakar dikhao pls, update se sahi ho jayega.
Downshifting from 2nd gear to 1st in a dual clutch transmission is heavier on the flywheel of the gearbox. Happens in a lot of DSG cars, some people notice it, some don't. Shouldn't be an issue.
While using carplay all the data is transferred from phone , car headunit is acting as a display only so try formatting your phone and this will resolve the lag problem

Also these are not german cars. They are subpar cars of inferior quality. Even the first gen polo vento were of much better quality. An octavia or a golf is considered as a small or a cheap car in Europe. Just compare that to these VAG 2.0 cars.

Problems/Issues/Shortcomings reported in Virtus/Slavia: • Rattling and squeaking noise from everywhere • Break noise is apparent in the 1.0 automatic while creeping in b2b traffic, parking and reversing. The brake pads makes a screeching sound and the ABS brings the car to a juddering halt • Jerky brakes. Brakes are not as much activated till a certain time and then they suddenly become too sharp • Aggressive creep function in 1.0 automatic. The acceleration is quite aggressive when parking in tight spots. • AC ineffective and AC cutoff problem • Fuel injector issues • EPC error/ Fuel pump malfunction leaving the car stranded on road during trip • The discs are very grabby, the car doesn't start creeping forward because of the stuck brakes • MT has issue of clutch pedal sticking to the bottom in excessive usage, mostly on mountains or bumper to bumper traffic • Power window one touch up doesn't work sometimes and it comes down on its own • Transparent/open part of the sun blind making the AC ineffective by letting in sunlight heat • Panel gaps • Exhaust smell coming into cabin when AC in recirculation mode. Outdoor smell coming in despite the AC vent closed or on, painful whenever passing a drain • Piano black on the interior prone to scratches easily • Cabin lamp comes apart and fell down on potholed roads • The cruise buttons in the right switchboard panel of the steering wheel fell off on its own • Noisy windows roll motor • Engine sound inside cabin. if music is not played and road is relatively empty, engine noise is irritating inside cabin • Front ac vents are of cheap quality • Windows roll up/down not working properly • Noisy ventilated seats • Irritating Auto start stop switching off the engine on a speed breaker • Not well done cabin insulation. You hear tyre noise, stones hitting your car underbelly and the engine rev noise. • Gear stick breaking and coming to your hands • Jerky rides on lower gears in DSG. D3-D2 transition is jerky when driven at City speeds, DSG is inherently jerky at city speeds • DSG lag • Wireless charger heating • Erratic Android Auto/Apple CarPlay disconnecting and refusing to connect • Steering alignment issues • No disk breaks at the rear • No physical control for AC needing to take eyes off the road to fiddle with climatronic control • Placement of buttons (lock and auto engine start stop) near gear box is painful to operate for driver. These should have been at right side • No height adjustable seatbelt • No sunglass holder(Virtus) • Smaller size ORVM • Only typeC port available • Less wider seats at the front making it uncomfortable for wider people • Seat which are supposed to be stock seat material, but looks more like after market seat covers. Fit and finish is very poor with lots of wrinkles, lines and loose fitting with exposed zippers, exposed stitching and poor contouring around the creases • Ugly looking rear with an exposed tank, torsion beam(Slavia) • No dynamic guidelines on reverse camera • Low quality/resolution reverse camera • No full blown TPMS • The music audio quality is a let down with no branded audio system in any variants • Uncomfortable back seat recline angle • Low mileage in city • Low quality plastics and cheap materials used for India-spec 2.0 models • Inability of service centre to resolve issues. They are pathetically slow & poor in responding to query
A lot of cost cutting has been done in the new products of VW and Skoda. The basic chasis, body shell, engine, suspension etc are good, but all those things which have been sourced from Indian companies such as interior items are of poor quality and have issues with them.
I own skoda kushaq Monte Carlo 1.5 DSG.. aap aise hi khamiya nikal ro aisa lagra.. about indicator.. it’s usual sound.. utna sound toh banata hai.. about shifting from 2nd to 1st whenever u r driving manual one when u shift down to 1st gear.. woh Jht ka toh lagta hai when u release a clutch.. but 1.5 DSG is smoothest gearbox I have ever had..
Ek car se what u expect is more than extra u r getting Skoda /vw car.. Baki ke rivals u will get everything u demanding here..from horn to reverse camera.. but u don’t get this engine gearbox combination.. see I know where I am paying Skoda /vw car.. bas fir paisa toh Sahi jagah laga hai boss..
There is a you tuber yagya sharma he also have virtus gt 1.5 dsg he also mentioned the same problem that in city traffic when car moves between 1st nd 2nd gear jerk can be felt and a sound as well.....and it's a problem in all virtus GT because in virtual DSG gearbox is DQ200 which is not a carefree gearbox you need mainten that gearbox unless megatronic will be blown out
As per my understanding...TSI 1.0 which is a 3 cylinder is bad.. TSI 1.5 4 cylinder is amazing even the seats are more comfortable in the GT line. Not sure about long term service and maintenance. Though my friend had issues with the window and ac which eventually got fixed over the period of time. But then again these kind of issue doesn't give confidence in the brand

Today on 12 Feb 2023 I took test drive and agree to all the issues.
Ultimately fit and finish is not up to the old VW Standards 😅
Still, Manish ji is better than anything other car manufacturers are giving. I'll make a details video on this very soon.

Ye dq200 by design hi flawed hai. Kuch bhi karlo vo issue dene hi vala hai. TC ek hi gearbox hai jo proper reliable bhi hai aur lag bhi itna nahi hai.

1.5 mein nhi sunna Meine. Sirif rainy time mein 1 baar aayi thi and back karte hue jab break lagti hai.

• Piano black on the interior prone to scratches easily
• Cabin lamp comes apart and fell down on potholed roads
• The cruise buttons in the right switchboard panel of the steering wheel fell off on its own

• Engine sound inside cabin. if music is not played and road is relatively empty, engine noise is irritating inside cabin
• Front ac vents are of cheap quality
• Windows roll up/down not working properly

• Irritating Auto start stop switching off the engine on a speed breaker

• Low quality/resolution reverse camera

• The music audio quality is a let down with no branded audio system in any variants

• Low quality plastics and cheap materials used for India-spec 2.0 models
• Inability of service centre to resolve issues. They are pathetically slow & poor in responding to query
A lot of cost cutting has been done in the new products of VW and Skoda. The basic chasis, body shell, engine, suspension etc are good, but all those things which have been sourced from Indian companies such as interior items are of poor quality and have issues with them.

I own skoda kushaq Monte Carlo 1.5 DSG.. aap aise hi khamiya nikal ro aisa lagra.. about indicator.. it’s usual sound.. utna sound toh banata hai.. about shifting from 2nd to 1st whenever u r driving manual one when u shift down to 1st gear.. woh Jht ka toh lagta hai when u release a clutch.. but 1.5 DSG is smoothest gearbox I have ever had..
Ho sakta hain mein different soch rha hu. But jo bhi sath bethta hain wo same bolta hain.
About that dsg down shift from 2 to 1 even I feel that in my car

There is a you tuber yagya sharma he also have virtus gt 1.5 dsg he also mentioned the same problem that in city traffic when car moves between 1st nd 2nd gear jerk can be felt and a sound as well.....and it's a problem in all virtus GT because in virtual DSG gearbox is DQ200 which is not a carefree gearbox you need mainten that gearbox unless megatronic will be blown out
Yeah Abhinav. I think it is because of the algorithm. Gearbox feel that you need a downshift automatically.

As per my understanding...TSI 1.0 which is a 3 cylinder is bad.. TSI 1.5 4 cylinder is amazing even the seats are more comfortable in the GT line. Not sure about long term service and maintenance. Though my friend had issues with the window and ac which eventually got fixed over the period of time. But then again these kind of issue doesn't give confidence in the brand
