I also have this exact watch. I am so luck that mine has been so accurate, only 5 second quick every week. Even it is oversize on my wrist but I just love its sharp looking and accuracy.
Great review as always. I love mine, but I’m a GMT geek and dials are my thing, so this one w the Asanoha pattern and true gmt w a high beat sweep won my over. Plan to wear it for many years.
Another great video, Chris! Let’s definitely see a review of the Seiko SLA053! I’m loving that blue dial. Today I’m wearing my Rolex Polar Explorer II, a classic favorite with that crisp white dial and orange GMT hand. Look forward to your next video!
It's okay but yeah that date display. Thought was a seconds dial function. Also agree on golf ball reference. With wet weather this morning strapped King Turtle SRPE05. #JAWG #WOYWT
Dont know why Seiko make this combinations of complications in Presage line.Either useless 24h subdial and open heart or this power reserve and date wheel.Couldnt they make one complication only?Or listen to people about which complications they like?I think this watch would look 2x better with date window above 6' and power reserve only 🙃
@@chrisltj Greetings! I bow to your superior knowledge… Just that SPB217 seem to come both with blue up and blue down. Maybe something with the white colo(u)r way, why they picked blue down?
@@seanmarlow9514 hi Sean, so they have blue up on the spb217, which matches the dial color, and white up on the 223 which also matches the dial color and the accent color is on the bottom. That could be the rationale!

Dig that geometric pattern. Nobody does dials like Seiko and Grand Seiko. Cool subdial date, too.
The hands look great with all that lume. Great review.
Bought this watch from you guys a few weeks ago. The date can definitely be a little hard to read at times, but overall its a great looking watch.
Great review as always.

Thank you Erik! I'm glad that you enjoyed the video, and of course your timepiece!
Saw this in person last Saturday and its stunning. The only thing I wish it had was a normal date window and no power reserve.
Look at earlier model, it exists
@@janhansen554 reference number or it didnt happen.
@@xekret lol love this comment
I bought one! It's hard to read the time with the white hands, but he'll, it's gorgeous.

What do you think about these new Gekkas??

The applied seiko is silver not black. I'm liking the movement at the price point. The watch as a whole not so much.
It’ll hold value!!!

this watch is more pretty than shown in this clip
Are you sure the chapter ring is meant to be like that? I’ve seen copies with it the correct way round.
Hi Sean, I have multiple pieces here that all look the exact same. Maybe it was a different watch that you saw?

Hi Chris, I love Seiko (and GS), and they do seem to apply left field logic at times. Anyway, we agree it’s a great looking watch.
Piastewa peak. Formerly squaw peak
I can sadly never not notice how clunky that 30 and 1 positioning looks
I wish dealers would remove their advertisement videos when a product becomes unavailable.
Hi, I actually have this watch in stock if you want it... Please see the description for contact info. Thanks!
@@Littletreasury I am looking forward to do business with you.
Chris was very helpful to transact this watch. Its a gorgeous piece.
