As a collector of celebrity autographs I have met many tv personalities. Liz was one of the loveliest, down to earth person. I met Liz in Manchester. She was being driven out of Granada studios and saw me waving to her. She got the driver to stop opened her window and sat chatting to me and signed an autograph. As the car drove away it suddenly stopped and reversed back up to me. Liz opened her window laughing and apologising because she had gone off with my pen. RIP Liz
We were on a cruise around the Med on P&O Arcadia, we went for dinner in the main dining room and heard this laugh that you couldn’t mistake, we looked around and on the next table was Liz Dawn. She was in a wheelchair at the time, we saw her a few more times on the cruise and she came over as a real genuine Lady. Thanks for this video, it brings back those memories.
I met Liz back in 1994. She was lovely, smiling and happy to chat to us. I was devastated upon learning of her passing back in 2017. She was an amazing actress and woman and will always be missed. R.I.P Liz xx ❤❤🕊❤❤
Me my mom and brother met Liz dawn and bill tarmey they opened cousins furniture store in Dudley and they were both lovely really down to earth my mom had a photo with Liz and that photo is still on my hallway wall rest in peace Liz and Bill ❤

Being fondly remembered when you are alive is a feeling most people really appreciate abdso it follows naturally, that to be appreciatively remembered when you have passed away will also bring warm feelings to the deceaseds family, friends - and in the case of the 'well known' to all their admirers too. Didn't even know she had passed often thought of her in the last few years and mentioned her to my Mrs and saying she had infasema as her mum passed with same illness, makes me sad to see this post, Rest in Peace Vera

Liz's daughter lives up the road from me. Met Liz a few times, really lovely woman. Very friendly and chatty. Coronation St is rubbish now. Liz and Bill Tarmey made it worth watching. You could have a laugh. It was entertaining and an easy watch.
Hi on this grave there are only 8 lines to read of which I read anyway for the viewer, and the camera is on the grave for a total of 1 minute 38 seconds which is quite a long time

Me and my Friend sailed on the Queen Mary 2 2011. We were on our Balcony sailing from Southampton and I could heat the Lady in the next cabin chatting to her Husband. I said to my Friend, doesnt that woman talk like Vera Duckworth and we both laughed. The lady appeared at the Balcony and it was Elizabeth Dawn. She said, Ive got tonights Lottery Numbers if you want them love. We met her later in the evening in one of the Bars for a drink, Just a lovely down to earth Lady.
RIP Liz Dawn. Coronation Street wasn't the same without you and Bill Tarmey (Jack). As it's Doctor Who's 60th anniversary next year, are you considering doing some of the stars and production team people's graves?
Hi Paul could you not give any more information regarding the location of the grave? I have just wasted a morning travelling to Thorner Leeds as this is listed as the churchyard where Liz was buried, but alas she wasnt there , I will report the false info on the find a grave website as i would hate anyone else to waste half a day travelling only to be dissapointed. Unfortunately this is one of those finds that have been requested not to be made public, family request otherwise it would be public knowledge, and you should never trust findagrave they have sent me 1000's of miles around the country to locations that are not true
Hi Paul I understand, Its just so frustrating when the users of the find a grave site fabricate the details, some are very good and accurate but it would seem that some are just pure fabrication , I have loaded details on their site several times and helped some users find graves in large cemeteries, anyway all the best mate .@@interestingplaces1
My son fitting her carpet at biddulph Grange where she lived in stoke on trent Staffordshire a wonderful place it is and she was a wonderful person no heirs or Grace's she was great loved corry back in the days with Jack she is missed never met her myself but my son did thou in my time I've met loads of corrie stars like I'll tarmby pat Phoenix etc in stoke on trent and ppl from crossroads like benny all the greats are going I'm getting old with them thou today I dont watch tv Jean Alexander was great to hilda ogden and stan and bet lynch ya dont get them kind of ppl today
Loved Jack and Vera especially when their dog ate the turkey x it's a little strange how the family wanted anonymity but had the name " vera" on the grave.
Vera isn't on the headstone, the headstone has nothing to do with anonymity, its the location, so if you don't know where the grave is you are unlikely to be looking for its in a massive cemetery

One thing I don't like to see is plastic flowers on a grave ! Once my mother in-laws head stone was put on the family put plastic flowers on I am the only one who takes fresh flowers and clean the headstone ! They go once a year at Christmas to put the plastic wreath on they had for years. I think they think the magic grave cleaner keeps it clean as they never ever mention it being clean .
