Most VW engines under 2 litres do that sticky starter motor noise, even when relatively new. Ibizas, Polos do it too. I did over 70k in a petrol Passat 1.8 with that noise. Never failed me.
That's a great car for £200. To get out of safe you need to leave ignition on for 30 mins iirc. When putting code in press scan not prog as the manual was wrong

I think the design of this Leon is timeless. Still looks good. These were nice cars, had a ABT-tuned TDI and it drove excellent. For 200,- it is like free candy!

Hi joe its john from Gibraltar,this SEAT Leon shares the same bodywork and engine as the VW Golf,and been a low mileage unit with full service history,should sell well with a healthy profit. I believe its worth fixing the window regulator and rhe starter motor including touching up those scuffs on the rear wheel arches.

I would tidy it up... surely thats a £1,995 car and will sell very quickly - offer a longer warranty for a few hundred extra. Someone will have a cracking car.
Edit: Thats a £2,495 car in this climate with such low mileage. You need to retail this, will possibly generate repeat custom!
That's a tank of petrol for my 540i E39,surprisingly good these early Leon"s and shows you can get a pretty decent car for the price of a meal out.
At 54k miles it’s worth getting involved with and playing the game at £2495 ☺️
200 squids no comm. solid blue. SX or similar trim level Leon. A golf in drag. Loads of risk there !!!! Lol. May even not-loose positive 125 to the scrap man at 325. I can smell feel touch the old Leon from here. Cut my teeth on these. Fiesta 1.25 and Pug 106 independence. VaG locks only work 2/4 or 3/4 locks. Look drive well. Shame we’re in 2023. Early 2000s cars great.

I assume 'Part Exchange' means a trade in of a car to Partially reduce the price of the car being purchased? As opposed to 'here, it's only good for parting-out'.
What a pretty color. Love the shape of the whole design. Unlike about every car in this class that has one or two truly awful design elements.
Bendix. Might need just a rebuild kit if available.
Starter probably just wants lubrication on end bush and the worm spigot under the bendix
I'd buy that, that's a car you can park anywhere and not care, my ex missus used to joke she needed a taxi to get from our car to Tesco main door as I always parked far end of the car park....and would come out to find a car either side of me who had also driven past 200 empty spaces, but that wee Seat I'd buy today and it's a Seat/VAG group car it will run forever regardless of how it looks

I would see what it needs for a fresh MOT, If that's all good machine polish it, Do a better touch in job on the scuffs and flog it for 1K+, Ideal 1st car and it's low mileage!

My right ear enjoyed the video, my left ear did not as there was no sound.
Flipping heck it's basically a rebodied VW Golf with low mileage that just needs a bit of TLC - got to be a bargain for someone who can handle a spanner and polish mop.
Dont see that many of those.Becoming a rare car.

safe on radio,usually means its locked you out and needs de-coding?
Just means wrong code been put in wrong so many times. But all you do is leave ignition on for 30 mins or so and it resets it
