It’s a shame people think of him and automatically associate him as that one drunk Muay Thai fighter from the ultimate fighter. Skarbowski is a legendary Thaiboxer and is certainly the greatest French fighter next to Danny Bill.
Yeah, though it also speaks volumes to Skarbowski 's talent that a drunk muay Thai fighter can exhaust a top level athlete with insane cardio like GSP.
Cause muay thai is a different game...why is it that the best guys sit around 60kg....mma guys are too heavy to be relavent in this sport...to much muscle...not lean.
@@mrnemo5731 mma requires more physical strength due to grappling, and you need a lot of stamina when it comes to that. Even in Muay Thai strength is important in the clinch alongside technique.
And to answer your question, Thailand doesn't have a lot of huge people, so in Muay Thai the best aren't always the biggest. US in general has bigger people so there's a higher number of fighters above 60 kilos.

Skarbowsky is underrated and is an example of a wolf in sheep's clothing. Also, there is a character modelled after him in the martial art manga KSKM.
