I just think it didn't corrupt Harry in the beginning because Harry was eternally grateful forgetting his second chance. And once the Symbiote got a whiff of Peter I just wanted to latch on to him and Peter being so good at repressing and controlling his anger it fed off of that much easier much quicker
Exactly what I was thinking. With Harry, he's just so good and has so little problems that anything the symbiote did to him seemed normal, talking about healing the world through the EMF, jumping into being a superhero headfirst, then when it comes to him again, this time he's angry and desperate
You both make at points, but I personally think the symbiote got corrupted as soon as Harry saw Peter get stabbed. Then after seeing how powerful rage and negative emotions made it , the symbiote chose to keep feeding off that trait.

Man, too bad the dialogue between Peter and Miles DURING the fight was skipped in the video they reacted. Peter was all-out in the "evil" within Venom, going all "I MADE you! You owe me!" and with the Venom voice saying "YOU think I'M the problem! I'M the solution!"
It’s worth noting that lizard was more like the traditional one when Peter first fought him; the serum Kraven stuck him with was an enhancement of the original formula, making him larger and more monstrous.
The symbiote only wanted Peter because he’s the most powerful human it’s ever encountered and emotionally vulnerable after may dying. So was easier to manipulate and had to be done quick. With harry there was no rush or danger of being “destroyed”. It’s obviously a living with motives an i love that
Insomniac made Miles more powerful though. It latching onto Peter instead of Miles doesn't make sense. Overall, I didn't like the direction Insomniac took with the game. Peter will be taking a backseat for the finale...

Kraven in other adaptations, probably not, but he has never been more threatening besides Kraven’s Last Hunt. The Spectacular Spider-Man show does exist with a fantastic version of Venom and the Eddie Brock friendship.
Unfortunately?! I dunno.. I’m pretty grateful. Insomniac’s Spider-Man is by far the best Spider-Man content in media besides the movies and I’m ok with that. I prefer these games iteration over any of the MCU films. I think Spidey just works better in this format.. You can tell way more engaging long form stories in games than you can with movies.

No Way Home is the only great MCU Spider-Man film and takes until the moment with the spider-sense to kick into another gear. It’s not as good as the movie, Spider-Man 2. Also the comics exist even though the last great Amazing Spider-Man run was the JMS and Romita Jr. run since it went to crap with Sins Past once Romita Jr. was no longer the artist. Ultimate Spider-Man was fantastic where long form storytelling existed long before these games in other media.

Yeah the original comics didn't have the symbiote make Peter more aggressive but only took him out as Spider-Man when he slept which weirded Pete out and what got him to get rid of it
I love how they upped the horror element when the suit took Peter’s body for a joyride. Beating the hell out of hunters, scaring MJ and citizens, attacking Miles, and chasing down MJ while trying to kill her. Insomniac did good showing that monstrous side of the symbiote.
I wonder how yuri did the voicelines screaming soo convincingly in pain when he hears the bell during the miles fight! One of my favorite things is his screams during the cut scenes and the frustrated groan when you pull the bell
You guys experiencing the story this way makes you really miss out on the best parts of the boss fights which is the INCREDIBLE dialogue in each phase, especially with the Peter fight. Y'all didn't get to hear Peter's voice meld with Venom's.

I LOVE this game it’s my game of the year, some of the vital parts you missed from the other ones videos because they are cut out was that Miles getting thrown halfway across the city by Sandman Scorpion Tricking Miles into opening his cage and stung him Meeting Uncle Aaron Peter inventing the Web line MJ discovering Kraven Killed Electro and Vulture
If you notice it had a slight effect on Harry and Peter before, but once it took that piece of the meteorite from Connor’s it basically gave the symbiote a huge power spike and multiplied the effect it was having in the host, cause Peter didn’t really start the darker selfish harsh attitude until after they touched the stone
the reason it didnt impact harry the first time is because harry wasnt actively having negative thoughts and emotions. quite the opposite actually. thats why it affected peter so much so quickly because petes been spiderman for 8+ years now. hes had negative thoughts for quite a while but pays them no mind bc thats how he keeps on keepin on as spiderman if that makes sense.
If there’s one thing that impresses me time and time again is Greg’s ability to predict things, in any movie, game, or show, he’s very good on picking up on things I never do! Greg, Andrew you two are great! Love the reactions! Keep it up!!!
Dont forget the metiorite made a maassive impact on why venom was so different with peter than harry, we see peter get instantly more intense when first bonded with venom because peter was litrally dead then filled with mass adrenaline when ressurected. But as soon as he comes into contact with the metiorite he becomes more monsterous looking and agressive which slowly starts a fight for controll over peter untill thanks to miles, peter is able to overcome venom, which leads venom to harry where he's finally able to take full control over the host due to harrys broken mental state, and physical state of body from dying, connecting to the stone after spreading through the city. I believe the hive mind is what caused venom to go full villain mixed with all th3 events. This was a very well written venom story

VNM-252 in Connors' lab is both an homage to the first appearance in the books, and that Marvel Spidey show that used V-252 to label Venom when it got to Peter then Brock.
Greg, Kraven wants spiderman to kill him. That's why he's been looking for the perfect prey to fight....he's dying and wants to go out in battle, on the hunt. He doesn't want to have a chance. Remember when Peter saw the chemo drugs in Kravens office? Kraven is dying, and wants to go out in battle. It's based on the comic book "Kraven's last hunt"
There’s dialogue during the Lizard fight where Peter is incredibly harsh and says there’s a reason why his wife and son left him. I wish that was left in this edit!
One thing that's a nice touch is Dr. Connors knows Peter is Spiderman but never reveals his identity he just calls him conners but through their dialogue you can tell that Peter was the one who originally saved conners before the events of the first game because this Peter has been spiderman for 10 years now
Also we need more carnage in these games I mean they had that one little side quest in this game "The Flame” where Peter was helping out Wraith, aka Yuri Watanabe, as she investigates a cult called The Flame. At the end of the missions, we learn that the cult's leader is Cletus Cassidy aka Carnage. Venom does not like carnage it scares him lol Venom: [sees Carnage] Oh, shit! [retreats into Eddie] Eddie Brock: Woah! Where are you going? Venom: That is a red one! Eddie Brock: You need to come out right now. I will let you eat everybody! Venom: Promise? Everyone was hyped for venom and that was mainly what insomniac used to market the game. This obviously worked but due to them focusing so much on venom, Kraven ended up being a pleasant surprise in this game. I expected him to be great but he ended up surprising me with how much focus he got in game. Another character that I think insomniac has made a fan favorite or at least a favorite for me is Martin li, I didn't know who he before the first game and by the end of that game I recognized him as another damaged villain. Seeing his arc in spider-man 2 has made him one of the best characters in this insomniac iteration of Spider-man. For miles development as well, Insomniac really got the most out of Martin Li for these games, just goes to show that any character can be relevant if given enough care with their writing.

I too was wondering why the symbiote wasn’t corrupting Harry but watching this it’s only when we find out where the meteorite that Venom crash landed with that we start to see the change in Peter so I think it was playing along nicely trying to find the meteorite so it can do what it wants to do as you will find out 🤣 hope that helps at all and enjoy the rest of it!

Which version of the symbiote suite tear off is better the game or the movie with Toby McGuire
Everyone was hyped for venom and that was mainly what insomniac used to market the game. This obviously worked but due to them focusing so much on venom, Kraven ended up being a pleasant surprise in this game. I expected him to be great but he ended up surprising me with how much focus he got in game. Another character that I think insomniac has made a fan favorite or at least a favorite for me is Martin li, I didn't know who he before the first game and by the end of that game I recognized him as another damaged villain. Seeing his arc in spider-man 2 has made him one of the best characters in this insomniac iteration of Spider-man. For miles development as well, Insomniac really got the most out of Martin Li for these games, just goes to show that any character can be relevant if given enough care with their writing.

the video skipped alot of dialpuge between peter and miles during their fight. during the fight their is alot of pain and anger in peters voice and the venom voice taking over slowly which u guys missed. it was hands down the best performance from yuri for me. plz guy revisit the full fight between miles and peter.

So technically MJ is a superhero and another version of MJ as her superhero name, Spinneret wife of Spider-Man (Peter Parker) and the mother of Spiderling (Annie Parker).
I too was wondering why the symbiote wasn’t corrupting Harry but watching this it’s only when we find out where the meteorite that Venom crash landed with that we start to see the change in Peter so I think it was playing along nicely trying to find the meteorite so it can do what it wants to do as you will find out 🤣 hope that helps at all and enjoy the rest of it!

Harry shows signs of corruption during the gameplay, you didn’t get to see it. He’s very violent and reckless and he tried to kill Kraven when he stabbed Peter.
This edit skips over learning that Kraven killed Vulture, Shocker, and Electro during MJ’s mission. Kraven has never been more threatening besides Kraven’s Last Hunt honestly.
