My iPad was never found, or unlocked.. I guess the new owner must have binned it.. so pleased you got urs back.. that/makes me feel better
Sorry to hear that. I don't know if there IS a way to bypass the system, or the person just binned it, as you say. I got very lucky.

It makes you wonder how many people forget this useful feature. I use Android, but it has the same thing, and was very handy when I lost a tablet in Manila, Philippines. Great video, Patrick
I agree - I think people use a 'find my' type feature on their phones and often leave it switched off on their other devices, particularly if it's a hassle to activate. Glad to hear you got your tablet back in Manila.

Well done to the Garda Siochana! My wife had her handbag stolen in Barcelona last year (with €3000 cash in it). Find my phone located the phone to an apartment in the city centre (where it was not unreasonable to assume the thieves or their accomplices would also be). The Spanish police could not have been more disinterested! Glad it all worked out well in the end.
Oh wow! I suppose that’s what I expected in this case too and it went completely differently. Sorry about your wife’s experience though - sounds like a real stress.
