As a couple that do renos, first thing.. wear a mask! Second thing get plywood up under the mobile as soon as possible. Mice love insulation and small debris to make their nests in your floor joists. Three, finish one area of floor before tearing out the next area... this will give you a smaller goal that won't make the whole project feel overwhelming. Last suggestion, when ripping apart things clean that area completely, nails, Staples, sweeping, shop vac, etc., then start building. (It's better to start with a clean canvas than to have to clean that canvas in the middle of your masterpiece).

Now, at this point of the winter the snow is piled up so high along my driveway that I literally cannot see over it when I stand beside it, which means it is well over five and a half feet high! I've built 5 houses and remodeled 2. I'll take new any day. I'm like you when remodeling. Tear everything out. Our last house I had down to the bare studs and replaced all the windows. I didn't just replace, I changed from double hung to casement and relocated them. So I had to reframe and resheath the house. When I was done, it was about 90% new house. On the outside, the only thing that was original was the foundation and the concrete stoop at the side door. Before we sold, I decided to redo the basement rec room. The ceiling was drywall but I tore it down because I was sure I'd find all kinds of illegal wiring. I was right, I found many junction boxes buried in the ceiling. I just can't do things half assed.

Meg, Here in the South we make snow cream. It is a lot like homemade I've cream. You take some snow that has been gathered off of a large clean surface, such as a printable or car hood. Scrape off the top not coming directly in contact with the surface of the object you're gathering snow from. Gather it in a large bowl. Mix it a little milk and a little sugar. It is a mix to taste thing. Stir it up really good, not to the point of melting the snow. Google it and you might find a better recipe. I know that you, Ben and all the boys will like it.

The joy expressed in this video for the snow was beautiful, interestingly, is snowing here in Ontario Canada in April as I watch this ❤

Long time watcher, never poster. I was around for the comments to be turned off and then turned back on, I commend you. A lot of folks don't have the time with their children that you do. The real life experience your young people, and future citizens of our country, are learning by hands on experience is amazing. They get to learn about fractions, engineering, life cycles, etc. Way to go! `

You guys are awesome, inspirational, and far from boring! Don’t give up, the trailer looks amazing and you’re making huge progress in such little time! I know it seems slow but that’s only because you’re doing it right! Everything worth having is worth waiting for!!! That’s one of my favorite sayings!! Keep your head up and stay positive! If I lived closer I would love to come help for a day!!
Just to not leave your boys out..... hello Holler boys!! Keep up the good work little buddies, you guys are super cool! I love the videos you have made!

WOW, you're doing a great job, Ben! You're a great example of patience! I'm glad to see that you have a son who seems to be greatly interested in your work. Keep him interested and encourage him to assist you. He'll learn by watching you and helping whenever he can. Ha-ha! Snow... great pictures! Enjoy while you have it. If you miss it, come for a drive up here in the Canadian Laurentians. We have two feet of it! Great for winter skiing or snowboarding :)

It is always a good idea to plan as much of the behind the scenes infrastructure, plumbing, wiring, before it is covered up and behind the scenes. Looking better, when you are done you have a sound house with the personal satisfaction, accomplishment of doing it yourself!!! Keep up the great work and videos!!!!

Love everyone's reaction to the snow. We are supposed to get 18 inches by Friday night. I had to smile when each of the boys stood on the corners. Good luck with it all. Stay strong!

We had to run 1x4's under our flooring. 1970 Waysider, pre HUD, and completely rotten. We're in year 12 on our place. Try and enjoy the journey. Looking great, y'all.

Way to go Ben!! Keep on moving along. Your doing one heck of a job. I could watch videos of this every day. Love seeing what you are all doing to the mobil home. Loved watching the boys play in the snow. We just got 8 inches here in Wisconsin yesterday and more to come in 2 days. Take Care friends. Once again. Great job Ben. So worth all the hard work.

We got that snow down here too, it had the biggest flakes I have ever seen some flakes were the size of a half-dollar. Simply beautiful! I hate when you have one chore but it is held up by other problems that must be dealt with first! It never ends up being simple step 1 then step 2 etc. It will come together though.
