Indian Air Force has the An32 as their backbone for their medium lift needs.its fondly called as Anna(means big brother in most of the south Indian languages).I absolutely love this aircraft, makes one big ruckus when flying overhead
I used to work as a An-32 ground crew. It is incredible airplane! Main feature is two extremely powerful dirty and smoky engines - 5000 hp each ones! Feels like fly WW2 combat mission - very loud, a lot of vibrations, can make a dizzy approach.
@@langietor No. The An-32 is very stable cargo plane. Feels very massive and inert. For pilots it's not an agile unstable WW2 or aerobatic plane. An-32 has simple autopilot for long flights.
@@alexanderzelenkov6944 ok, can you tell me why pilots are shaking too much, its handle also shaking too much. I have seen videos of other planes take off, those are smooth
@@langietor Because of super-powerful old Soviet engines. You can't understand how severe is the vibration in this plane! Even in cruise flight your teeth clattered constantly. Very annoying. The plane just trembles constantly. You can see how GoPro camera shakes during take-off.
You would enjoy the tanker bases in Canada in summer. Many different types of planes. The Canadair CL-215/415, AT-802F, Convair CV580, Dash8-400, Avro RJ85 AT, Electra. There's an old Martin Mars tanker floating in a lake on Vancouver Island. Not to mention all the heavy lift helicopters that are usually used for heli-logging. Like an airshow you don't want to see but can't stop watching.
Stunning. Beautiful old school coal burning engines providing their own smoke screen.. Rarely seen here un the UK, the AN32 has a character that typifies soviet era designs, rugged, built for purpose, and very capable.
Thank you to Ukraine for sending their aircrafts and also helicopters when we needed them here in Turkey. They were one of the first responding countries. Дякую
Hello sam! Great video. Would be very interesting if you made a video about the Beriev Be-200 Altair. The huge disadvantage of this firefighting aircraft is that it cannot take water on the move from the Sea or the lake. When refilling with water at the airport, precious time is lost
@@SamChuiThank you for your answer. Sam, when one of these beautiful firefighter planes crashed, at that time I was in Greece on the island of Rhodes and I saw it in action a couple of days before the crash. I was very impressed by the water intake on the fly directly from the sea. Great plane and professional crew! it is a pity that he suffered a disaster saving animal people and the forest from fires! If you want to fly on arguable the best firefighter aircraft going around the world, check out the Canadair/Bombardier CL-215/CL-415 series of water bombers. They are operated around the world including in Canada (natch) France, Greece & Spain. They are skimmer types, meaning instead of landing at an airport and wasting time waiting getting refilled, they skim across the top of a suitably sized water body, be it lake, river or ocean using hull mounted retractable scoops that can refill its 6100+ litre tanks in a 12 seconds, 140 metre run at 70 knots, allowing it to quickly get back to drop water onto wildfires. Viking Air has since bought out the rights and patents for the CL series and is in the process redesigning a new model with a 7000 litre capacity called the CL-515.
