George Daniel is not only one of the best drummer in modern pop but he is an exceptional producer. He contributes so much to the 1975 sound, but seems so down to earth and is happy for Marty to have the spotlight

I hope we get plenty more of the 1975 on tape notes, both of the episodes they have done are super interesting listens and its pretty incredible to get to see behind the scenes on a group as big as they are. the three of them have great chemistry also

Yup. English is not my first language and I always wondered what did he mean by “racket”. Found out recently.
Cool to see them using the stock pro tools EQ.
The 1975 had their own sound down to a T very early on. They don't deserve the hate they're getting at all. And even if you dislike them for whatever reason, you can't deny that they know their stuff and that their production has always been solid.
Just post the whole video interview on the channel please...

I was surprised that they switched to Pro Tools, I thought they were Logic guys
I know Jack uses Pro Tools and worked a lot on this album so that might be the reason. Plus they didn’t use as many “electronic” elements this time around so recording stuff direct into Pro Tools may have been the easier route.
I also didn’t see any midi on the (few) screenshot clips they’ve posted so it’s also possible they started recording stuff in Logic and then bounced everything out to Pro Tools.
Could be mistaken but pretty sure George mentioned somewhere recently that he still composes/arranges in Logic. Pro Tools sessions here probably just tends to be because of them later working in studios that have Pro Tools.
