Analogue/vintage gear is great when it's reliable, though I think we're going to see even more of it modelled, emulated and sampled in software in coming years. It's become a hell of a lot more feasible in the past decade or so to accurately model the character and non-linearities that hardware units produce, which aside from the tactile aspect is what people who tend to gravitate towards it are looking for. I'd be curious to know if printing drums to tape and then back in to the DAW was used on every record, I Like It When You Sleep has some of my all time favourite drum sounds.

Is this interview longer ? I wanna see more!
The podcast is on Spotify and Apple podcasts. There’s only a few videos clips of it releases so far though
"plugins are lame bro" K WE'LL JUST GET OUR MONEY UP REAL QUICK AND BUY HARDWARE. THANKS MATTY
This just shows Matty has no idea of what goes on behind the scenes on his music😅
Challenge: count how many times Matty said "like"
Where can we find the full interview
George lost me at M1 and JV1080 being used by Fleetwood Mac, those synths came out after their time. That said, the JV1080 is a classic and fortunately its still dirt cheap, I still am surprised 15 years later what I can get mine to do.
Can anyone tell me if the TG MKII is meant or the TG 2?
where I can find the full episode in video?

Where can I buy George’s model of laptop case?
Case looks cool. It also looks like its sitting on a cooling pad of some sort.
when is the full one coming out!! aahhhhh
These guys out there doing very standard things but talking like they’re really fucking the system 😂
Yeah, exactly! If only their music was interesting, maybe the shitty attitude from the singer would be (more) warranted. Granted, they make well-produced pop music that I'm sure lots of the general public likes when shopping for eggs, but it's almost definitionally standard, boring and safe.
The click bait is real
r/confidentlyincorrect
That Roland JV1080 tho 🔥
it’s just about texture and warmth, you know 🙄
Listen to this thing we recorded *talks over every second of it*
we all know what matty's favourite gear is
🤣🤣
Hating plugins is pretentious
George over here talking like Liam Neeson.
I love that this guy is saying that Plug-ins are lame…he clearly has no real knowledge about mixing or gear. What a joke 😂
MATTY NEEDS TO GO BACK TO 1975. TAPE, PLUGINS, ANALOG HARDWARE< SOFTWARE< CHEAP GUITARS EXPENSIVE GUITARS< GARAGEBAND PRO TOOLS r MERELY TOOLS>..its the artists that are behind the tools that is most important. U say plugins suck, while the next great band of kids in their bedroom are using plugins... who cares, its the end result that matters..
"Useful is annoying"🤔
True, like money.
@@Etrooom 😆
I wish Matty had his own youtube channel. His social media is not enough for me.
Why would anybody want that after this video the bloke is insufferable and not very talented
“Plugins are lame, bro” has gotta be one of the dumbest sentences I’ve heard in a long while. I was hoping for the slightest wink or indication of “British humor,” but it just really seems like someone who’s had success forgetting what it’s like NOT to have everything you want at your fingertips. Or like… congratulations, you have a controversial opinion 🙄
If ever there were a band who define 'lame' it's this lot. 🤣
