I absolutely love tying and learned a lot from you. Watching this video about the Universal ll really intrigued me how very simple they are. Got really curious, found one on Ebay and bought it $50!!! And by the way I absolutely like it. Thx for the videos.
Great video. Tons of great information on the U2. I have two of these vises and I don't think McMaster Carr has those shim washer that you use. They do have the shim washers for the fly wheel side. I been searching for sometime now.
Jay.....wish you were my neighbor. You could come over and use my bead blaster. I have different grits but it would make short work of that rust. I would love to get your bench vise in the blaster and get it cleaned up and repainted. That is a good table vise. Looks like an older version. A lot of these newer vises are made from pot medal and are junk. I have both of my father's bench vises which were fabricated back in the 30's and they are tanks. I restored both of them after dad passed away and they look brand new.
@@alexACR3167 I have an older vise, I think much better brand (# 203 1/2 Reed Manufacturing) you can see in other videos on my casting bench. Would love to refinish that one.
Love this vice. I purchased the universal 2 from your website for a spare , along with some jigs. I wanted to buy some unpainted Barumba jig heads but I didn’t see an option for that. If you sell them, I would love to add some to the order, if not too late. I couldn’t find any contact info on your website.
