My biggest wish for a future SimCity update is that there would be a way to store the buildings and parks you already have so you could reorganize in your city easier. I like you're. New intro btw! :D
MissFluffy Oh, yes! That would be awesome to have! I guess that the developers won't stray too far (if at all) from the Bulldoze mechanic though as it's so distinctly and traditionally part of the SimCity series - but some kind of temporary storage solution as you're re-organising your City would be incredibly useful!
+Miss Fluffy As of July 2016, they added this feature, so EA must have heard you! You can store specilizations (e.g. parks, education, entertainment) by long pressing it, and click on the BLUE box! Store as you wish!
I have a city on my phone and one on my iPad and by putting both of them in the same club I can easily trade back and forth between them pretty efficiently
This video was INCREDIBLY helpful. I started playing a week ago and by about halfway through the week I'd noticed the problems that you'd touched upon. Solid advice. I greatly appreciate it. It's almost like having a workaround for the pay to win/micro transactions.
Here's a tip I learned the hard way: (not sure if it's mentioned already but I can't be bothered to read all the comments :-) ) If you put items up for sale in your feeder city, DON'T FORGET TO BUY THEM WITH YOUR MAIN ACCOUNT!!! Mayor Daniel buys items when they're unsold for a few days. Cost my quite a few dozer parts!
Well, I am now discovering this video. I play this game on my iPad but my start a new one on my phone to follow this strat that somehow is still relevant today
I am familiar with the basic idea from playing Evony but had no idea it could be done with SimCity, it's brilliant! I get the idea of staying at level 8, which allows harvesting of those land expansion thingees, a huge $$$ and time saver.
I think u need to remember - EA's intention is to incentivise transaction for the purchase of cash in order to make any required expansions, and this becomes a lot more apparent as u level up, but this is when the user is hooked and more committed to their progress. This is exactly the perfect time to offer paid solutions for expansion! This is a free game containing no advertising (unless u choose to watch ad bubbles for a in-game reward), we can't really expect EA to make things easier for them not to get some form of payment for the game. Plus I also think it's great that no matter what, everything IS possible in the game if u choose not to make any purchases, all it costs u is your time and patience. So I don't think there should any complaints about that aspect of the game.
I'm not sure about you, but I'm not keen to spend (literally) $1000's of dollars for a stripped down version of Sim City just to make it functional at higher levels. That's a stupid game design decision.
Finished my feeder city last night with help of your excellent video, and this morning the update was released to fix the FB login problems on iOS. I've now got an old google account on bluestacks as a feeder for my main account. :-)
***** - No problem, I'm glad it helped :) If you can (or haven't already gone past it) stay at Level 8 to accumulate as much as you can before moving to Level 10. Doing that will help you find Land Expansions and City Storage items more quickly, because you have less other items unlocked that would clog up your random chances when popping Opinion Bubbles or browsing the Global Trade HQ ;)
+Car Racer - You're welcome! Thanks for your support :) It's pretty handy, especially if you have access to 2 devices! You can do it on 1 device, but it can be a little fiddly to setup and switch until you get used to it.
I became bored with this game not long ago since it was hard to find enough special items to keep growing after reaching 500k, then I decided to build my 7 Y.O. daughter a city on her tablet since she liked mine but was too advance for her to continue. Having her build raw material and collect special items, and then sell them to me has revived my love for this game since I can continue growing my city at a decent rate again. As any loving father would I let her buy special items from me at 1 simoleon, and then I purchase it back from her at full price, that way she often has over 100k simoleons to spend it on parks, or just have fun shopping at the Depot since her city storage has place for 150 items. The only problem now is that she wants to keep building more new buildings and her increasing levels make it harder to find special items on the depot. Great videos. Best of luck.
I am interested in finding out more about epic projects. How do I do 80 "I'll do it" and beyond in limited playing time. at present I can do the 10 for bronze and tend to stop as I waste selling the items instead. Thanks
+Samuel Yang - Also make sure you take advantage of buying Special Items in the Global Trade HQ from other new and similar level players in the Global Trade HQ. I had huge success doing that and maximised my City Storage very early on! It is more difficult these days - but still a very proven strategy to camp and expand before levelling up :)
Ive got a lvl 8 city with over 10k people but when I try to find expansion parts in the trade HQ I can never find them. So does this still work or do I have to reach a higher level to be able to find parts in the trade HQ
I had a feeder city. I could not build my main city without it. I use my feeder city to build the lesser items, nails, hammers, etc. but your right there has to be a balance. I had to upgrade some on my feeder city just so I can get some of the other items for my main city.
I just discovered this then found it on youtube. You can go to the global exchange, click on another players items, then click the x button to close their trading window. Sometimes there is a package in their city. Click on it and you get great rewards. It doesn't gift you everytime when you visit. But you can go past your stash level. Example my max stash is 70. But my screen says 71/70. I screen shot it but cant share here. Thanks for the video.
Im in lvl 30, yeah as we pogress with this game its getting harder to manage your storage, and feeder cities its always 50-50, so what i do i just tackle 2 objectives at a time. Its either increasing my city and filling those cargos (to get special items or keys), or increasing the city and trading (to get more simellions), etc. its more manageble this way.
+Shayaan Mkd - I think you might mean the Tokyo Town skyscrapers?! If so, then you'll need to make sure that they are able to upgrade to Luxurious buildings at the maximum level - check your overlays to see land value etc
I would like to see more detail on setting up your feeder city as far as how you tie your feeder city to your primary city, and move things back and forth between them. I also am very confused about the theory behind how your game is setup for FB. I have three separate Sim City games in progress, but since I cannot delete them, and I have connected to FB and Game Center before I knew you should only connect your cities to just one of them, how do you straighten the mess out. I also have one city in progress where I stopped in Level 9, and wonder if I can still setup a feeder city with it, or do I need to start another?
Seth Johnson I almost always trade stuff at default value because it's quicker. Occasionally when I have needed more Simoleons in my Feeder City to buy Special Items, then I sell items at the maximum price. Most of the Simoleons in my Feeder City come from producing and selling Hammers, Measuring Tapes and Vegetables on the Global Trade HQ - that generates enough to keep the City ticking over nicely!
+All Your Blocks Thanks so much for all the info. I have made my feeder city and I'm at level 8. Mass-producing items (Seeds, Nails, Boards, Vegetables, Hammers) and selling them to myself for 1 cent, and then reselling them for max price does bring in quite a bit of money. But I feel that at level 8, you would want to check your city at least once every 1/2 hour to really make some big money. I find myself going back and forth all day long like a crackhead. LOL. . So I think I'm going to level up so I can make fabric!!!. . I never can keep fabric in stock. and I'm always buying it in HQ.
Hello Blocks, how do you make enough money to buy expansion items while remaining at level 8? The highest thing I can find to sell are the wood boards and they don't make much.
spizen - Hey! :) Are you using a Feeder City? You should be able to generate enough Simoleons to fund expansion materials across 1 or 2 Cities fairly easily. You might find my 'How to Earn 1,000,000 Simoleons' video helpful; ruclips.net/video/PD4ShWvO-AI/видео.html - it should get you thinking about which products to make and why. I hope it helps you out :)
All Your Blocks I already have a major city saved on Game Center on my Apple device. How do I set up a feeder account via Facebook on the same device? And also how do you switch between both accounts? Please make a video or explain. Thank you.
Absolutely clever! I had a revalation similar but you took it to the conclusion. Basically I got frustrated with the ridiculous upscaled cost to increase storage, and I made a second city for the fun of it, and even as i realized that all the expansion items are the first available, and realizing that just based on statistical probability of the items that appear on the market, but you level so quickly early on, that at level 13, the expansion etc. items are as rare as in my 1.4 million city (Duffalo)'s marketplace. Also it coincided with the advent of the Mayor's Club, which has made the passing of in game items simple...I might suggest having 2, or even 3 on the outs, extra cities. Maybe you or someone could answer a question I have. Do you think that it's against the terms of service to deliberately have multiple cities, with this purpose in mind?
+Nifty59 - It's specifically not against the terms, and the SimCity BuildIt team have said so publically on their Facebook page on a number of occasions :)
The problem with SimCity BuildIt is the so called "Trade Depot" which really isn't a trade depot at all. It would be nice if you could actually ask for certain items in exchange for something else. The trade depot is just a free for all market.
And that is how it should be otherwise there would be no fun in playing the game ! And this game is for those who are pretty active otherwise pay for it!
@@Defnetlynotkenmy feeder city stayed at level 8 so less item will be shown in the trade hq. If i maxed my main city storage and land expansion i will level up my feeder city up to level 17 so i can unlock flour bag so i can decongest my farmer's market.
Hey, I made many feeder cities and I came across a problem where I ended up unintentionally violating facebook's terms of service. They told me as I was trying to make more facebook accounts that I was only allowed to have 1 personal facebook account. After finding out, I switched over to using Google Play accounts and basically, you have to 1st> have both/or more accounts synced to google play by logging them into the simcity buildit game, then heading over to your gmail on your accounts 2nd> right click under gmail at the top right and select contacts 3rd> then you search for yourself via looking up your other accounts email 4th> add yourself(ves) to you contacts as a friend, there should be a red circle with another red circle thingy on the rectangular name thingy of the contact if done correctly, if it's not showing, then one of your accounts isn't syned up properly... 5th> log out of google play on your simcity buildit devices and log back in then your set!
Does anyone know if it is better to be level 9 so that you can have your population be 20k to unlock the boat dock to help getting special items faster? Was just thinking this but not sure if it is worth it
I guess making a feeder city in another device might be more fun than using the same device. What do you think? Anyway it doesn't change that we need to 'farm' the items. I'm getting the hang of the game, i love the game, but still cant erase the frustration that i need to farm the storage and land items.
Hi All Your Blocks - thanks for the tip on feeder cities. Got mine working a treat for expansion items. Once I have reached my storage and expansion limits though I'd like to grow the feeder so it maximises the output of Dr Vu items. Any advice for what level to hold at to get the most Dr Vu items??
+pjbouic - Just check, double check, triple check, each time you level up - and as soon as you see them start to appear in Opinion Bubbles or the Global Trade HQ, that's your optimum level for farming Vu's Items. I think it was somewhere around levels 14-16, but it's been a while since I checked.
I was wondering the same thing. My main city is level 23 now (about 71 xp away from 24). Since I play the contest of mayors regularly (I'm in megalopolis league), I need a lot of Vu's parts for some of the assignments. My feeder city is level 8. I have all expansions maxed out in my main city (storage, land, beach and mountain) thanks to all your blocks videos, but Vu's parts are still hard to come by.
Feeder city 1: makes metal / nails only City 2 wood / planks City3 seeds/vegetables City 4 minerals/ bricks City 5 chemicals City 6 cement City 7 collect expansion items for main city Main city: buys at minimum from feeder cities and sells at maximum in the trade depot/ upgrade main city has No shops = more room = less traffic = less roads cost there are no factories = more room I m now at level 86 / 2.7 million sims /1840 golden keys/212 platinum/ sadly I can't place anything more / regions all maximum cannot get more land only things to do are disasters/airport/cargo ship/wars/ So now I m starting to upgrade my feeder city's lot of fun tx good video ps My city name is Omega one hope you still play 😃
+Richard Shearman Yes, there is - but I'm not exactly sure when it is because the Disasters and Dr Vu content has changed since I unlocked it. I suggest expanding slowly with your population and level and checking the Global Trade HQ and Opinion Bubbles frequently to see when the components are available. Ideally, you should do this every time you upgrade a Residential Zone and after each time you level up as well. This will ensure you catch the sweet spot perfectly! Hope that helps you out :)
i’m using my moms old phone.. we are facebook friends so i connected it to her account. now i have an account at level 10 to trade myself things for one 1cent!! it’s perfect... i expanded 4 lands in one day and more!!!
What's the point in making a feeder City? If it was to provide resources to the main city, then why did you upgrade your Feeder City'Storage? I mean, you could have provided that resources to your main city, right????? Please answer my question
What app do you recommend for making feeder cities on 1 device. I know you need to clone a game to do it but I don't know what app I should get. There aren't any on the app store so I think I need an apk. I don't want to get a virus by getting the wrong game cloner app
Hi ! Very nice video. Tell me some tricks or something like that for expand my city . Problem is I can't find items for expansion in trade market , they are really really rare. I find them in neo market , but don't have always " money " to buy ...

awesome tips thank you a lot and I like your videos keep it up
Hello All Your Blocks! First off great, informative video. I would have never thought to build a second city for this purpose. After doing so, I found the GTHQ only updates with 2-4 items every thirty seconds and rarely is there a desired item. The only difference in our cities is that mine has 84% happiness. Does that have anything to do with the GTHQ or did the developers do something to make this method less viable? Thanks man! Keep up the great videos!
+Anders Livingston Thank you very much! :D Are you using Parks across your whole City to increase Happiness? That's a great way to relatively cheaply increase Happiness! I'll keep trying to produce videos - please help me grow an audience by sharing them around, thank you!
Mayor Blocks, thanks for the very informative videos. Are you still checking these videos comments? I started the game yesterday and have already made a feeder city to allow me to level my main city. I have my feeder hit at level 5 (around 25k population) and am using that to get storage expansion items. Would you recommend I stay at this level or go to to level 8 to allow me to get land expansion items?
+Sam Jago - Thank you, I'm glad you're finding them useful. Yes, I try to keep an eye on comments across all my videos :) Welcome to the game Mayor - levelling is up to you, the tips in the video still apply, level 8 is the sweetspot, but bear in mind that the maximum City Storage size is now a lot more. Whatever you choose it will take longer overall to camp under level 8 and expand to maximum size (even though the items requirements for unlocking City Storage have been reduced). The strategy still applies; expand your City Storage as quickly as you can to make all your later in-game decisions easier! Good luck Mayor :)
Can you make a video tutorial on how to play sim city build it on Bluestacks? Because I don't know how to start and it is very very difficult. Can you pls make a video about this?
I just did this, created a feeder city, because I was so sick of me being on level 30 and NEVER having enough too expand my city or increase my city storage. I got everything working and connected to my city, but I am on level 9 (I was unaware you could buy the expanding items before level 10) but still its hit or miss it seems like to actually find these even when on level 9 :(
I have only 1 device. A Android tablet. Can I create a new user account with a different email and start a feeder city and link it to a different Facebook account? After that if I don't want to switch users each time, can I just log out from my main city then login with my feeder city and not lose one or both cities?
+Thunder Rooster - Yes, but Facebook gets grumpy if you have more than 1 account, so perhaps use another family member or be careful about how you do it. Personally I think you should be able to have a separate gaming-specific (or similar) account on the Facebook platform given how much gaming spam they send me, because I don't want that plastered all over my personal feed. Also, if you do set it up, make sure you're clearing your local device cache as and when you need to before switching Cities!
Can you do it without creating a new profile? Can you just clear out the data then start the game and start fresh then log on with your feeder account?
+Thunder Rooster - No, you need a second City and a second account to link it to. Yes, but you might need to complete the tutorial each time if you don't set it up correctly. Good luck Mayor!
How can one build a level 24 feeder city and fully max store capacity slots without paying for extra Sim dollars since there is a limit to Sim Dollars and it also requires too much time to earn many of the free dollars. I also want to know how many dollars are required for slots and which stores are better suited to max out slots fir feeder purposes? For example, I think hardware, building supplies, farmers market are important to max out. Suggestions?
+Viola M - I'm not aware of a limit to SimCash, so I'm not sure what you're referring to there. If you want a Level 24 Feeder City then simply level up and play efficiently along the way. On the slots for Commercial Buildings though, I think the first 3 (that you mention) are the most important to max out. I talk about it during my Let's Play series and I show the costs of opening various slots. I'm not sure which episodes exactly though. If you want to catch up on it, you can check the playlist out here; ruclips.net/p/PLRLAsOhDeBc_d7TkUvNnDEKl55DfBz0IS
I would like to know more about the mountain houses you can make (the epic project mountain specialization). I placed a building with the golden hat on it near my mountain area but it only offered me other specializations that were nearby, it never came up with the mountain specialization and I got tired of wasting money requesting a specialization change. Any tips?
+Erica Haggar - Yes! You need to have a 'qualifying specialisation' near to each valid Epic Project before you start it. If you want to force the game to give you a specific specialisation, move the building it to an area where you only have Mountain Specialisations nearby :)
Having watched your video I now have a level 8 feeder city. I have a population of around 35,000. I threw a little cash at it to get some parks to make it look nice. Is it going to be an issue that my population is high? Or will it be fine as long as I don’t go above level 8.
I use your tips and hate to be rude, but I'm on LVL 8 and tapped the opinion bubble 100+ just to get 1 camera or 1 lock or 1 storage bar, the same goes for the expansion land. I went to Global Trading and the sec. it refresh, I immediately go to that city, but it's says "SOLD" or " Sorry, you missed the opportunity to purchase this item" (it wasn't purchased yet). I was wondering if the Global Trading is A.I. or real people playing and what am I doing wrong
+King Pin - I'm glad you're finding my tips useful :) Asking questions isn't rude, thank you for getting involved in my channel! The Global Trade HQ is real people playing - buying and selling their items on a big marketplace. Unfortunately it is now more difficult to find and grind (buy) large numbers of items this way, it used to be much easier. Anecdotally, it seems that if you are on a faster internet connection, or using a newer device, then you can load other players' Cities more quickly and therefore have a better chance to buy items. I play using an old iPhone 4S at the moment, which is at the bottom end of the specification that SimCity BuildIt will run on for iOS devices. It is really difficult to buy items consistently, but occasionally I get really lucky still :) I hope that helps a little bit more. Good lucky Mayor!
+All Your Blocks - I restarted my city and once I got my city storage, I find it easier to keep collecting the items before increasing the capacity and only sell the other excess to get more simoleons and save the space. I currently have a capacity of 50 and will continue to collect as much as possible then increasing the capacity.
Hi there, do you need level 8 or level 10 for citiy expansion items to show up on Global HQ ? I've seen your comment somewhere, you said to camp at lvl 8 for storage and then lvl 10 for city expansion, but in video you have 20 of each dozer item and you're only level 8. So confused. :(
+Hrvoje Meštrović Thanks for your comment. Sorry if it wasn't clear! Level 8 is when Land Expansion Items start appearing in Opinion Bubbles and the Global Trade HQ - so you can BUY them at Level 8, but not USE them until Level 10. So, ideally - you should store as many as you can before upgrading to Level 10 and then expanding. I hope that helps to explain it better ;)
+Nichola Davis Basically you need level 8 to buy them on GHQ or get them from opinion bubbles, but you cant actually use them untill level 10. Hope it helps!
+Mark Boggs - It depends what device you're playing on. A number of people have asked a similar question, check through the comments on this video already for various solutions, and also over on my Add Friends and Fix Friends Lists video too; ruclips.net/video/RoAkZwLmLwY/видео.html - hope that helps you out Mayor!
couple questions.... if I put items up for sale from my feeder city the key is to not advertise them right? If I put 5 grills on the trade depot what is the likelihood of my main city getting those. don't advertise right? Also, what is that song?
+Chris Foss Yes. Do not advertise! So long as you don't advertise and your Feeder City only has your Main City as a Friend on Facebook (or Google Plus or Gamecentre) then the items won't appear on the Global Trade HQ and therefore no-one else can see or buy them ;) Which song? The intro song or the timelapse one?
Since passing level 15, I can only get gifts by visiting cities between like 6:30ish-8pm Chicago time. Is there a limit on gifts per 24 hours? I play on iPhone. PS: Will t/ blue stack download to PC let me play the same game (same city) if I’m logged in with Facebook (or Google+) on my iPhone? [My PC’s new touchscreen 2 in 1.]
+Sherif Abduramani - Hello, I have an answer! :) You can only have 1 City synchronising with 1 Facebook account. If you try to synchronise a second City with the same account it either won't work, or will overwrite your old City. So if you want a second City, you will either need a second Facebook account (but Facebook will get grumpy about that!) or you need to synchronise your new City with a Google+ account or a Gamecenter account. I suggest re-watching this video on Feeder Cities and also watching my other video on Adding Friends ruclips.net/video/RoAkZwLmLwY/видео.html - to work out the best setup for you. Those 2 videos won't give you the direct answer to your problem, but they will give you the knowledge to be able to solve the 'how to manage 2 Cities problem' yourself :) Good luck Mayor!
Best Advice to Invest with SimCash: Expand Your City Storage Capacity. Notes: That if you purposely buy the Google Play Card to make the gameplay 'easier'.
1. If you get your SimCash by purchasing it via Google Play Card = Buy City Storage Expansion Packages. 2. If you get the SimCash by earning it through clicking the in-game bubbles that showed up in your and other people cities = prioritize to using it for Contest of Mayor. but if you want to, you can also using it to buy anything.
+Charles Smith - Have you tried 'forcing a reload' on your Friends List? More info in my video here; ruclips.net/video/RoAkZwLmLwY/видео.html - good luck Mayor! :)
What I don't understand is how when you started your feeder City you got $150 in sim cash. I just started a feeder City and I only got 50... Which sucks when trying to put in extra spaces in my hardware stores. I also wanted to know where you got all those parks that you showed in your feeder City???..., the one with the plumb bob thing floating in it? I was watching when you clicked it and you didn't pay for it with coins or simcash so how did you get it? I want to be able to do the things you did for your feeder City butt it's looking less and less likely that I'll be able to. I find it frustrating that I'm trying to take your advice and I'm not even given the same resources as you were given at the time you made this video, so what do you suggest I do?
+Jessicalrene_ - That was a limited time promotion on iOS, I can't remember if I knew that at the time of making the video, but I don't think I did. Either way it doesn't matter. You definitely don't need that specific park or any SimCash to make a Feeder City. You can use the parks that are naturally in the game and make a perfectly effective Feeder City with no problems at all! It just takes a bit of time :)
Hi! Great video, this feeder city thing will definitely help out my main city big time! One quick question though, how many parks and RZs do you have in your feeder city? I totally overlooked the fact that parks help boost pop and I kept dropping RZs to get the 8k/10k for the trading aspect.. Im now too near level 9 with only 7k pop, 2 of the cheapest parks and only having 6k simoleons.. To everyone, don't forget the parks! Eventhough the game offers you to build RZs, exercise maximum restraint!!! Imma have to restart on my feeder city now and do it realllllly slow this time hahaha! Again, thanks for the awesome video, will definitely check out the rest!
+Jane Doe Thank you! I've got 4 Peaceful Parks (25% Boost), 1 Deluxe Plumbob Park (35% Boost) and 20 Residential Zones at various different upgrade stages. The Deluxe Plumbob Park was a limited time item in game and you don't need it to reach 10,000 Sims. My Parks are contributing an additional 4,030 Sims to bring me to the final total of 12,139 in the video - in a layout that deliberately isn't optimised. I did this to demonstrate that the target of 10,000 Sims is easily reachable if you take it steady and use Parks appropriately. Like you said, the key is to exercise restraint - and not overexpand. If you want to check out the final layout in a bit more detail, you can always play through the video on 1/4 speed or step through it using play/pause during this section; ruclips.net/video/U2h3V9AOuhE/видео.html I'm really pleased you found the video useful. Please feel free to subscribe to my channel and share it around to your friends as well - I've got lots more great SimCity BuildIt Masterclass videos planned :)
Hello, I would like to add some friends on Sim City but I do not know how. Could you advice me please. I do not know what game center r u talking about, nor anything else - I have read through your posts, but I am lost. How do you get all that French and English stuff to build London and Paris buildings? Thanks
+Astulka Gaika - Hello! :) Gamecenter is an iOS-specific way to add friends in game. I'll put a video together on 'Finding Friends' soon, I've got some ideas for it already! The Special Items you get from just playing the game, popping Opinion Bubbles, completing Quests etc, those kinds of things. Good luck Mayor! :)
+Rel3el Skum - I haven't tested it, but I'm fairly sure you could get at least 20,000 in population now, and probably a lot more if you build very efficiently. That sounds like something I should test properly in another video! :)
I already have a major city saved on Game Center on my Apple device. How do I set up a feeder account via Facebook on the same device? And also how do you switch between both accounts? Please make a video or explain. Thank you.
Can I just clarify to get the bulldozer parts to expand you can still be at level 8 as I'm at level 6 on my feeder with 12,000 people do I need to go up to level 8 as I've already unlocked global trade?
+Dark Blast99 - Yes, last time I tested it you couldn't SEE Land Expansion Items until Level 8, or USE them until Level 10. I don't think that's changed, but you should probably go slowly one level at a time until you start seeing them appear for sale in the Global Trade HQ and in Gift Bubbles :)
Transfer money from your main city to your feeder city and use that money to buy stuff. If you dont know how to transfer money its easy. Buy the most expensive item your feeder city can buy with your main city (vegetable I think). 5 = 800$ Then sell them for 5$ to your feeder city and re-buy them with your main city for 800$. You just transfer 795$. For faster transfer, buy 6x5 vegetable and sell the 6 pack per shoot. Once done, resell the vegetable with your feeder city and voila! You just transfer your money and it cost nothing!
how do you only have 70 at level 26? did u sell all ur storage parts before. I have 140 at level 22, i just kept buying them everytime i see them at the GTHQ but thats not good enough i need like 200. how long does it take to get a feeder city going?
Myles Mordaunt when you try to max all the map abd need 12/12/12 for the next land, 11/11/11 fot het next beach and 11/11/11 for the next montain land... you can easily need 70-80 storage only for that stuff.
+Jamal amjad - Either follow the tips, tricks and process in this video, or buy them with SimCash (not recommended, very expensive unless you can get it on a deal!), or play the game and get City Storage Items from popping Opinion Bubbles or Gift Bubbles in other Mayors' Cities or completing Quests. There are tons of ways to get different items - good luck Mayor!
The last IOS upgrade left the Game Center basically useless as far as friending. I play 1 city across 2 devices. If I want to set up a feeder city, I assume I would need to have a different Apple ID. I don't use Facebook. The only other method of being able to connect to this city. The only method I know is to leverage the new club abilities in which I am president of my own club, with active members. The main reason for a feeder city for myself is expansion items which can take a long time to get. This is the most frustrating part of the game for me.
+Nifty59 - Add your other account as a friend outside the game, so that you can see your other City in the game. I've got a video that talks about how to do that, here; ruclips.net/video/RoAkZwLmLwY/видео.html - good luck Mayor! :)
+Lucas Ottley - For my SimCity BuildIt videos in general, I use AirServer to send the screen output from my device to my PC. I then record that (full screen at 1920 x 1200) while I talk over the top and use D3DGear to capture the whole thing 'live'. I get occasional audio quality issues with these though because of the SimCity BuildIt in-game audio (possibly related to my old iPad Mini and/or some kind of conflict with the recording software or hardware). For my new Masterclass series - ruclips.net/p/PLRLAsOhDeBc8Ryb2XXTaaAyvfZ7tZ5Kzu- I'm using a slightly different method. I plan the episode in advance by listing the tips and tricks I want to include. I then turn that into a shot list and talking points, with some bits fully scripted. After that I record the audio in Audacity, and then the video separately using AirServer and D3DGear as before. Finally I combine all the different elements in Windows Movie Maker. It's a very time-consuming method, but I hope and think that the results will better suit this tips and tricks style series! :)
Hi there, hope you'll respond. I built my city up to level 8 and 10k inhabitants. Somehow I don't see any opinions bubbles though, why's that? I do see those gift-bubbles in other cities though. But no opinion bubbles, not in my own city nor in other cities.
Hey I just started this today. In about an hour maybe hour and a half, I reached level but I got to 19000 population when I did. Does too high population matter? Also I’m still not getting many of the items I need I mostly need storage and land items obviously. Did I do something wrong or does it just take a while even with feeder city? I’d like to max out my main city regions and improve storage so I can move on and open up the beach and mountains on my main city too, how long should it take before I can level up my feeder to level 15 and so on
Do you have your feeder city on the same device as your main city? If so how do you switch? Or are you just using a second device like a tablet with your phone? Do tell.....
+Gordon Ryan I run my main city (Blocktopia) on an iPad and the feeder city (Twintopia) on a iPhone - it makes for easy side-by-side Global Trade HQ grinding if I have half an hour spare in front of the TV, hehe :)
+sirap ramli - That hasn't changed. Land expansions have always unlocked at Level 10. However, you can see them and buy them in the Global Trade HQ from Level 8 and get them from Gifts, Opinion Bubbles and Daily Chests. So, for super efficiency, you should maximise your City Storage at Level 8 while collecting land expansion items and then go to Level 10 and unlock everything. It's up to you though Mayor, the simplest way to do it is just go to Level 10, stay there and unlock everything! :)
I need help in linking my feeder city to my main city. how is this accomplished? I have a google play acct and a facebook but still can't seem to get it to work. thanks in advance!
Hello there, i just somehow reached to this video. Can you tell if this trick works as of now october 2019. And will I get banned if i use it now? Love the content.
+Kellen Goodwin - Ideally yes. You have a higher chance of getting Land Expansion and City Storage items at that Level 8 sweetspot. I explain why clearly (I hope) in the video. Thanks for stopping by Mayor :)
If only I discovered this video 5 years ago.
If only I had discovered it 7 years ago ._.
7 year
@akhil2466for real
Lmao
If i only discovered this video 8 yeara ago...
My biggest wish for a future SimCity update is that there would be a way to store the buildings and parks you already have so you could reorganize in your city easier. I like you're. New intro btw! :D
The last line should say: I like your new intro btw :D
MissFluffy Oh, yes! That would be awesome to have! I guess that the developers won't stray too far (if at all) from the Bulldoze mechanic though as it's so distinctly and traditionally part of the SimCity series - but some kind of temporary storage solution as you're re-organising your City would be incredibly useful!
MissFluffy Hehe, thanks! I hope the new format helps each video to feel a bit more 'me' :)
+Miss Fluffy
As of July 2016, they added this feature, so EA must have heard you! You can store specilizations (e.g. parks, education, entertainment) by long pressing it, and click on the BLUE box! Store as you wish!
yall still on or nah?
Just started my "feeder city" and of course your video was recommended to me by someone and I hadn't seen this one! Great tips!!
+Sim-antha - Hey good to see you! Glad to hear it helped you out :) Thanks!
Sim-antha lol ,
I have a city on my phone and one on my iPad and by putting both of them in the same club I can easily trade back and forth between them pretty efficiently
Sim-antha thanks for the trick, I love too...much playing sim city
This video was INCREDIBLY helpful. I started playing a week ago and by about halfway through the week I'd noticed the problems that you'd touched upon. Solid advice. I greatly appreciate it. It's almost like having a workaround for the pay to win/micro transactions.
Here's a tip I learned the hard way: (not sure if it's mentioned already but I can't be bothered to read all the comments :-) )
If you put items up for sale in your feeder city, DON'T FORGET TO BUY THEM WITH YOUR MAIN ACCOUNT!!!
Mayor Daniel buys items when they're unsold for a few days. Cost my quite a few dozer parts!
Well, I am now discovering this video. I play this game on my iPad but my start a new one on my phone to follow this strat that somehow is still relevant today
I know right! I'm a visionary 😁😂
@@AllYourBlockshow come you stopped making videos? I saw that your last video came out 6 years ago
I Think Sim City is the only Games where you dont want to Level up especially when you are going to get fire, police or medicine.
ikr😭
Lol so true
Nah these roads are a nightmare 😂
How my life would be easy only if I had discovered this video in 2015. thanks and sorry for being late (crying)
🤣🤣🤣
I am familiar with the basic idea from playing Evony but had no idea it could be done with SimCity, it's brilliant! I get the idea of staying at level 8, which allows harvesting of those land expansion thingees, a huge $$$ and time saver.
Bunch of cheats in evony , bots, alts, and lack of true ability is why people use multiple accounts SMH cheating is not a strategic advantage
Wish they would add a mass bulldoze road feature
Still hasn't been added lmao
@@dad641 sad
Amazing, only today I collect 50+ special items.
Is really big help!!!
Thanks bro!!!
Finished my feeder city last night with help of your excellent video, and this morning the update was released to fix the FB login problems on iOS. I've now got an old google account on bluestacks as a feeder for my main account. :-)
+Jan Duin - Awesome, great job Mayor!
Made a feeder city on PC and it takes lvl 10 to unlock land expansions :S Makes it a bit more difficult.
But does it really matter how many citizens I have if I just don't go over the needed lvl?
+iBig870 - Yep, that's right. You can collect them at Level 8, but can't use them until Level 10. That's the same across all platforms :)
+All Your Blocks ohhh I see, thanks for answering so soon or at all. :>
+All Your Blocks Yeah unfortunately I already made it to lvl 9 but Ill be sure to stop there.
Oh this is very helpful! It's so hard to get expansion areas! And city storage upgrades! Thanks for making this!
+Car Racer - You're welcome! Thanks for your support :) It's pretty handy, especially if you have access to 2 devices! You can do it on 1 device, but it can be a little fiddly to setup and switch until you get used to it.
All Your Blocks Yea no problem! And yes it is pretty handy have two devices to help out with city growth! Thanks again!
How to make feeder city
What a lovely story about family gaming! :) Hope the Feeder City idea helped you out!
I am interested in finding out more about epic projects. How do I do 80 "I'll do it" and beyond in limited playing time. at present I can do the 10 for bronze and tend to stop as I waste selling the items instead. Thanks
+Dave Wright - Thanks for your comment. I've got a video on Epic Projects in the works, fingers crossed I'll get it done in the next few weeks! :)
So I stay on LVL 8 and keep tapping the thought bubbles to increase my storage and expand my city?
+Samuel Yang - Also make sure you take advantage of buying Special Items in the Global Trade HQ from other new and similar level players in the Global Trade HQ. I had huge success doing that and maximised my City Storage very early on! It is more difficult these days - but still a very proven strategy to camp and expand before levelling up :)
All Your Blocks whenever I see an important item in the hq, it is always sold out by the time I click on it.
Soldier Hunter I find going from city to city without going back to your home city helps in being quick enough to catch rare items in the market.
So true since I got a feeder city make it slightly easier and now I joined a friend's pm group we help each other during the CoM too
Ive got a lvl 8 city with over 10k people but when I try to find expansion parts in the trade HQ I can never find them.
Nice tip - and thank you! :)
my area finished and how i will build the next buildings
Can you explain more about XP to Population ratios?
Im in lvl 30, yeah as we pogress with this game its getting harder to manage your storage, and feeder cities its always 50-50, so what i do i just tackle 2 objectives at a time. Its either increasing my city and filling those cargos (to get special items or keys), or increasing the city and trading (to get more simellions), etc. its more manageble this way.
Love your videos, really help me with my decision making, especially this piece of Buildit Gold! Keep up the great content dude!
+Shayaan Mkd Also, any tips on how to get the skyscrapers with the megascreens?
+Shayaan Mkd Thank you very much! :) Please share them around to your friends and other Mayors too!
+Shayaan Mkd - I think you might mean the Tokyo Town skyscrapers?! If so, then you'll need to make sure that they are able to upgrade to Luxurious buildings at the maximum level - check your overlays to see land value etc
+All Your Blocks That's right, and thanks dude!
I have a feeder city! Since I was level 8-9, I was saving and earning money for level 10 Education. Now I am level 22!
My feeder account is on level 8 with 30k population. Still having hardtime to look for land expansion
Have you got anything to add about building a Feeder City? What tips and tricks do you want to see in future episodes? Let me know!
+All Your Blocks
Thanks so much for all the info.
Thank you.
Feeder cities are basically the equivalent of colonies I guess XD
Gotta have them to fuel your city-state :D
+Kuya Leinad - Yeh, I think so! I think of them as being like the equivalent of a SimCity (2013 version) Region with multiple Cities! :)
aahaha I thought the same and named mine New colony XD
Is It Possible to do it on google play for phones?
hello I was wondering how do I add my feeder city as a friend?
+iFreeWifi _ - Have you seen my video on How to Add Friends? It's here; ruclips.net/video/RoAkZwLmLwY/видео.html - I hope it helps you out :)
All Your Blocks oh :P thanks
+iFreeWifi _ - No worries ;)
Does this work?
Woah this is so important tricks thanks mate
Why i was so late, you just solved my problem.
Does it work?
@@Defnetlynotken it does, but you need two separate devices.
@@gsastudio-archl i know I have a cloner
@@gsastudio-archl but what level should I stay since this video is outdated
@@Defnetlynotkenmy feeder city stayed at level 8 so less item will be shown in the trade hq. If i maxed my main city storage and land expansion i will level up my feeder city up to level 17 so i can unlock flour bag so i can decongest my farmer's market.
Hey, I made many feeder cities and I came across a problem where I ended up unintentionally violating facebook's terms of service. They told me as I was trying to make more facebook accounts that I was only allowed to have 1 personal facebook account. After finding out, I switched over to using Google Play accounts and basically, you have to
1st> have both/or more accounts synced to google play by logging them into the simcity buildit game, then heading over to your gmail on your accounts
2nd> right click under gmail at the top right and select contacts
3rd> then you search for yourself via looking up your other accounts email
4th> add yourself(ves) to you contacts as a friend, there should be a red circle with another red circle thingy on the rectangular name thingy of the contact if done correctly, if it's not showing, then one of your accounts isn't syned up properly...
5th> log out of google play on your simcity buildit devices and log back in
then your set!
+Ivan Cheng - That's a useful tip Mayor! Thanks for sharing it :)
Google Play does not work for Apple devices does it? E.g. iPhone, iPad.
Does anyone know if it is better to be level 9 so that you can have your population be 20k to unlock the boat dock to help getting special items faster? Was just thinking this but not sure if it is worth it
Omg, ur so good at explaining things!!
+ZefQ - Awwww, thank you! I try :)
:D
I guess making a feeder city in another device might be more fun than using the same device. What do you think? Anyway it doesn't change that we need to 'farm' the items. I'm getting the hang of the game, i love the game, but still cant erase the frustration that i need to farm the storage and land items.
It's easy to make these "feeder cities" but I only see an FB option to share accounts. So I need multiple FB accounts to use this method?
Feeder city 1: makes metal / nails only
City 2 wood / planks
City3 seeds/vegetables
City 4 minerals/ bricks
City 5 chemicals
City 6 cement
City 7 collect expansion items for main city
Main city: buys at minimum from feeder cities and sells at maximum in the trade depot/ upgrade main city has No shops = more room = less traffic = less roads cost there are no factories = more room
I m now at level 86 / 2.7 million sims /1840 golden keys/212 platinum/ sadly I can't place anything more / regions all maximum cannot get more land only things to do are disasters/airport/cargo ship/wars/
So now I m starting to upgrade my feeder city's lot of fun tx good video ps My city name is Omega one hope you still play 😃
So you make 7 account?
Nice way to get around the rules.
I prefer 'optimise or stretch the limits of the game', but yes :)
0:58 Just wanted to know are you still waiting...?
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe 😂
Is there a sweet spot for your feeder for finding Dr Vu components?
I would like a feeder for these if possible.
Hope that helps you out :)
does this still work I have a city level 8 with 21k people lol but haven't gotten a single expansion piece
+Nallv2 - Yes, it still works :)
Nope you have to be at lvl 10 to unlock expansion items
GamerzEra that’ll be why I’ve not seen a single one for 2days at lvl8 🙈
i’m using my moms old phone.. we are facebook friends so i connected it to her account. now i have an account at level 10 to trade myself things for one 1cent!! it’s perfect... i expanded 4 lands in one day and more!!!
What's the point in making a feeder City? If it was to provide resources to the main city, then why did you upgrade your Feeder City'Storage? I mean, you could have provided that resources to your main city, right?????
Please answer my question
You need ot have enough city storage but not to much to keep feeding the stuff that takes a long time to make
What happens after you reach Megalopolis League? Can you get a 1000 simcash in every contest of mayors if you maintain your position ?? 👀
December no if you get 1st it depends on your standings in the contest
What app do you recommend for making feeder cities on 1 device. I know you need to clone a game to do it but I don't know what app I should get. There aren't any on the app store so I think I need an apk. I don't want to get a virus by getting the wrong game cloner app
Hi ! Very nice video. Tell me some tricks or something like that for expand my city . Problem is I can't find items for expansion in trade market , they are really really rare. I find them in neo market , but don't have always " money " to buy ...
awesome tips thank you a lot and I like your videos keep it up
+Gava Gává Thank you, that's very kind! :D
Thank you! This helped a lot.
Are you using Parks across your whole City to increase Happiness?
Welspoken! I agree, im stuck now in level 15 with traffic problems and money problems and no more special items to expand the land :(
I just did this, created a feeder city, because I was so sick of me being on level 30 and NEVER having enough too expand my city or increase my city storage. I got everything working and connected to my city, but I am on level 9 (I was unaware you could buy the expanding items before level 10) but still its hit or miss it seems like to actually find these even when on level 9 :(
How did you get that simcash
If you want to catch up on it, you can check the playlist out here; ruclips.net/p/PLRLAsOhDeBc_d7TkUvNnDEKl55DfBz0IS
How did you start with 150 cash? Mine starts with 50 cash :-(
+MissionThindom - There was a 100 free SimCash promotion on when I made this Feeder City, so that's what you see during the video!
Should be no issue since population doesn't unlocks new items.
You actually made 100 sense, i wouldnt have thought of lower special item drops
Thanks! I hope it helped you out :)
Hi? anyone watching this in 2024?
I guess I’m still here 😎😁
man this is epic, it's like a time capsule online
Wsg
Me lmao sadly i just found out about this
I use your tips and hate to be rude, but I'm on LVL 8 and tapped the opinion bubble 100+ just to get 1 camera or 1 lock or 1 storage bar, the same goes for the expansion land.
+All Your Blocks - I restarted my city and once I got my city storage, I find it easier to keep collecting the
items before increasing the capacity and only sell the other excess to get more simoleons
and save the space.
+All Your Blocks Thank you for answering! Yes, it's all clear now, thanks!
+Hrvoje Meštrović what did he say ?? I can't see his reply :(
+Nichola Davis Basically you need level 8 to buy them on GHQ or get them from opinion bubbles, but you cant actually use them untill level 10. Hope it helps!
how do I switch between the feeder city and my city while on the same device?
So long as you don't advertise and your Feeder City only has your Main City as a Friend on Facebook (or Google Plus or Gamecentre) then the items won't appear on the Global Trade HQ and therefore no-one else can see or buy them ;)
Which song? The intro song or the timelapse one?
Since passing level 15, I can only get gifts by visiting cities between like 6:30ish-8pm Chicago time. Is there a limit on gifts per 24 hours? I play on iPhone.
PS: Will t/ blue stack download to PC let me play the same game (same city) if I’m logged in with Facebook (or Google+) on my iPhone? [My PC’s new touchscreen 2 in 1.]
Hi, i have a question. How can i start a new city with the same facebook account without creating a new facebook account please help me?!
Where should i spend my simcash? Should i spend it all on my trading depot to expand its capacity? Or what.. thank you in advance for answering ..
Best Advice to Invest with SimCash: Expand Your City Storage Capacity.
Notes:
That if you purposely buy the Google Play Card to make the gameplay 'easier'.
Iam in level 35 my population is 290,000 and they are 98% is happy so this game is very exciting for me
I made my feeder city, but not showing up in my game. It has been over 24hrs since friended, and nothing :(
+Charles Smith - Have you tried 'forcing a reload' on your Friends List?
If you want to check out the final layout in a bit more detail, you can always play through the video on 1/4 speed or step through it using play/pause during this section; ruclips.net/video/U2h3V9AOuhE/видео.html
I'm really pleased you found the video useful. Please feel free to subscribe to my channel and share it around to your friends as well - I've got lots more great SimCity BuildIt Masterclass videos planned :)
Hello,
I would like to add some friends on Sim City but I do not know how.
is it possible with parks and a lower number of residental zones, upgraded, to reach 20,000 population at level 8?
Plz Plz... tell me how did you get to 140 storage at lvl 8 ???? Im stuck to 70 and I'm lvl 26...
Myles Mordaunt found the way... build a lvl 8 feeder city and you will easily be able to buy the stuff you need to upgrade
Axon few hours
Myles Mordaunt when you try to max all the map abd need 12/12/12 for the next land, 11/11/11 fot het next beach and 11/11/11 for the next montain land... you can easily need 70-80 storage only for that stuff.
Would I get expansion items at level 8 even though expansions are level 10?
Assuming it still works the same way it used to, then yes! suggest testing at Level 8 and seeing if it still works :)
How do you get the objects to expand the city storage bigger
Wait, just one question: You can't join a mayors club to trade directly until you've reached level 18, so how do you trade before that?
+Nifty59 - Add your other account as a friend outside the game, so that you can see your other City in the game. I've got a video that talks about how to do that, here; ruclips.net/video/RoAkZwLmLwY/видео.html - good luck Mayor! :)
Hi I've watched all ur videos but was just wondering what do u use to record
Benjamin H yep, same. Until I reached level 22, I didn’t get opinion bubbles. Weird.
you are a genius omg
Can you give any help in some way to get or ways of making sim cash without always having to buy in in the AppStore in iOS please ???
+Paddy Loughlin - Focus on completing the in-game Quests and Achievements. There is a whole bunch of SimCash to be made from them! :)
In the latest update, land expansion unlock at lvl 10.so i need to reach lvl 10 and remain there right?
+Ashley Massey - Link each City to a different account and then 'Friend' yourself on whichever platform you choose!
Hello there, i just somehow reached to this video. Can you tell if this trick works as of now october 2019.
And will I get banned if i use it now?
Love the content.
i play on phone and have my main account on game center, how can i switch between that city and my “facebook city”
Dude I got on lvl 9 by mistake so am I good or messed up?? Waiting for your reply.
Should I keep my main account low level to obtain these items? I am still level 15...
+Kellen Goodwin - Ideally yes. You have a higher chance of getting Land Expansion and City Storage items at that Level 8 sweetspot. I explain why clearly (I hope) in the video. Thanks for stopping by Mayor :)
+All Your Blocks okay, in that case I will probably create a feeder. Would you recommend using Blue Stacks or creating a new Game Center?
Kellen Goodwin - Whatever suits you best personally. It depends on how, where and when you want to access and use your Feeder City! :)
So a colony? I’m in!
