I started out with pasteurized homemade kefir (lactose intolerance) and did okay, but I found a local farmer who sold raw milk and I can drink that stuff all day! Absolutely zero issues!

They’re probably healthy children. The reason why Americans are so unhealthy starting from childhood is the use of antibiotics and eating highly processed foods made with seed grain. The gut flora in the US is probably the worst in the world.
As a Russian, it’s weird to me to hear the word, as it’s truly a must-have in every household. We have lots of kefir growing up here, traditionally drink a glass before bed. I love making my raw milk kefir!!! 😍❤️ I also do a second ferment for only a few hours more with organic orange peels. It is SO good and has such an effervescent flavor! 😍
I think for most people it is not the lactose that causes them problems but the caseine. Which is different in modern cows. If i drink goats milk, raw, pasteurized, boiled or make yogurt out of it i have no problem at all. And the amount of lactose difference is not big, and i drink a lot of it at times and have 0 issues. While just a cup of cow milk makes me really sick and brings my autoimune issues back fast. Doesnt matter if it is raw, not raw or pasteurized.
Greek Yogurt if your looking for a probiotic with a good amount of protein. If no need for the protein and looking for max probiotic than kefir is the way to go. Both are great options for your health
Raw dairy is almost impossible to obtain here in the UK. There are lots of "Alleged" products, but checking out the labels reveal most being pasteurized. So unless you make your own, Yogurt is the only real option!
