I think it's a Magnolia tree. Love that tree, only flowered once a year for a month or so in spring. Love the black lace border. Awesome. Can't wait to see the centre stitched.
Mckenzie, I have to say thanks for the laugh...I was just telling my (grown) kids to pull their heads out and get their shit together!!! Black work sampler is beautiful, also, if I lived in that darling little apartment I would bead at the dining table and have tv as background noise!!! As always, I love your videos, can't wait for more!! Keeping good thoughts for you..for your dad, and your sweet mom too!!!!
Great update. Your Rosewood Manor piece is so beautiful! I'm not a cat person but OMG what a cutie at the end. My thoughts are with you and your family - stay strong Dad!
Hope all went well for your Dad. The Black Lace Sampler is lovely, looking forward to seeing you start the center. So love seeing Dexter at the end of all of your videos, he is becoming a You Tube star.
I love those posters! I feel like everyone needs the 'get your shit together' motivational poster. I might have to buy one for my 17 year old daughter and one for my 20 year old stepson. They need that speech staring them in the faces everyday! LOL The black lace sampler is gorgeous, McKenzie. It looks so intricate. And I adore the gingham fabric you're working on. 😳 Just beautiful. Lily of the Woods is an amazing piece. I am going to put my vote in now for a DVD collection vid and a book one as well. I'd love to be all nosy and see what you have!!!! I hope your dad is doing well. xx ~Amy~
I am the same way with my stitching. I get started on something and I don't want to put it down until I am completely sick of looking at it or I make significant progress. I tried Maynia and it was an epic fail. It did encourage me to kit up several patterns, so that's a win. :)
That's good! As long as you got something out of it, I think it was a success. That's a bit how I feel about mine, didn't realize I would enjoy starting new projects so much but I'm also glad I didn't push myself to start more than I was comfortable with :D
I LOVE the black lace wip it's so beautiful. I'm just not sure I like the middle I will have to see yours when done I think seeing real life things can make them look prettier. But the black part is gorgeous! Stunning ! I love the posters I really love the sh-- one a lot. Words of wisdom to live by! So dang good..
the lace blackwork! That is beautiful. I tend to start with the loop, and weave in if it's a single strand. I feel that's leaving it secure! And totally agree about Mira over one skin. Maybe it started from her mum's designs; the few I have mostly have charted over one skin!
I adore the Blackwork Lace Sampler, even though the 'sampler' part is so pretty I for some reason keep seeing the border as the perfect frame for a special picture...no idea how I would go about doing that but it is sort of like trying to unsee those odd images that turn up from time to time in wips. Sometimes when the 'flow' of stitching gets broken (a move or new schedule) nothing appeals to me, even wips I love can't motivate me, sometimes it's a matter of finding a new thing to work on but sometimes it is just jumping in and stitching until I either totally hate the piece or find my joy in it again. Whatever works I am pretty sure you will get going again
love the Blackwork lace, and the posters! if you are not sure what to stitch next, why not try another small piece, might help with stitchy bug. if not, just fondle your stash......and plan what you might start when the muse finds you again! thanks for posting, I so enjoy your videos.
I love the Black Lace Sampler, it's coming along beautifully :) My stitchy group is starting up a challenge tomorrow, I'm going to be working on Crowns of the Kingdom by Rosewood Manor and I'm soo excited :D Thanks for sharing, and I look forward to the next one! :)
hello. i just finished your video and truely enjoyed it. i loved seeing your work as well. your doing a great job..... keep it up. i'll be anxious to see more from you...... have a great day
I thought the flowers were cherry blossoms until you showed a close up and then I am pretty sure they are flowering Magnolia. There are a lot of them in bloom right now around here and I love them but the flowers don't really last very long. I love the Black lace sampler, it's so pretty. Hope your Dad is feeling okay and things are working well for him.
Great video I love your progress on your wips! I'm doing 1 over 1 skin on my first Mira and I agree it has slightly taken away the enjoyment but I am pleased with it, undecided if I'll do it again! Love your posters too :-)
I finished watching this video and then immediately tried to find Rick and Morty AND Gravity Falls. Hulu has Rick and Morty Season 1, so I watched the pilot. Hilarious. I miss Adult Swim... gonna have to be more crafty to find Gravity Falls. Best of luck to your dad - I'm sure they appreciate all of your help! Can't wait to see your next stitchy updates! xoxox
If you liked the pilot you will love the show - I should have known you would like it! You have my type of humour :D I hope you love it. It's so good. I have to find somewhere to watch Gravity Falls too.
I also like to see decent progress before I rotate. Having a zillion wips with very little done would drive me nuts. Also agree re 2 x 2 skin. Is 1x1 really worth it when it's framed and hanging on the wall and you never look at it close up? Those flowers in Lilly are cherry blossoms, I think, and now I need that pattern because we have lots of cherry blossom trees around here.
That Blackwork Lace sampler is so gorgeous! OMG - I don't even LIKE blackwork and I can just feel myself getting pulled into that! I totally understand what you mean about not starting a million things - I don't get that either. I like long-term relationships with my projects - LOL. Your Mira looks great as well - she is really coming along. Here's a thought for your beading set-up - how about a lap desk? I use one to bead and once I pour the beads into the Tacky bob I don't have any more trouble than usual with beads flying around! LOVED your posters! Especially the first one. But you have totally got to put some of your beautiful stitching on the wall of your home! Blackwork Lace would be a good start when you get it finished? Good luck to your dad.
+thelovelyarray the poster. It arrived today. It's on the side of my fridge. Love it! I will be reminded to "get my sh*t together " every time I make coffee. 😜
I tried over one skin for the first time on Stargazer as there isn't a lot - I have to say I don't think I will be doing it again. Also have you thought about doing your beading at your dining table - you could move it slightly so you could still see the TV while you're beading?
Sorry for the late comment. I'm so behind. :c Ahh, my favourite hoodie comes from Red Bubble. It's a Skyrim one. :D Beautiful progress on your WIPs. I love the black lace sampler. Best wishes to your family also. xxxx
Beautiful work. Love watching your videos. Was wondering do you use a frame, q snap frame or scroll frame. I note that whatever you use allows you to swop easy from one wip to another quickly.
Thank you Jane! I actually stitch in hand, I don't use a frame or hoop of any kind. The benefit of that being that I can basically pick anything up and start working on it :D I have a q-snap but I prefer stitching in hand.
My daughter and I love gravity falls !! I just love mabel! And my daughter says im so much like her lol which i totally take as a compliment Great progress on everything ! Im not a big fan of the over one skin either , i think it looks beautiful ! And admire all the work put in it but for me it throws me off , i thinks its my ocd that makes me want all the stitches the same and same direction idk
I love your laugh so much! When I am stitching and watching your videos and you laugh it makes my whole stitching experience so much more enjoyable :D
Why thank you!
I think it's a Magnolia tree. Love that tree, only flowered once a year for a month or so in spring.
Love the black lace border. Awesome. Can't wait to see the centre stitched.
Wow, thank you!

Thank you Staci, what a great idea to bead at the table - how did I not think of that?! I appreciate your thoughts and kind words!
Wow! Your black work boarder lace looks beautiful. The cat poster is soooo cute, happy stitching xxx
Thank you!
Great update. Your Rosewood Manor piece is so beautiful! I'm not a cat person but OMG what a cutie at the end. My thoughts are with you and your family - stay strong Dad!

Thank you Lou!
OMG, That Black Lace sampler! I finally broke down and put it on my wish list! your stitching is amazing!
Thank you lovely!!
I love those posters! I feel like everyone needs the 'get your shit together' motivational poster. I might have to buy one for my 17 year old daughter and one for my 20 year old stepson. It's good advice. And if you need to take it somewhere, take it somewhere, you know? As long as it's together ;)
Thank you Amy!!

Hahaha thank you MaryJo!
Love the update! The Rosewood Manor piece looks beautiful. You have also motivated me to try and finish my Sweetheart Tree piece I started for Maynia.
Ooh, which Sweetheart Tree pattern is it?
It is the "Today is a Good Day" I will have it in my next video too. :)
your wips look great. and i think you hit on a great outro. showing kitty cat at the end of your videos is so cool and soothing.
Thank you!
WOW!!! beautiful black lace sampler!
Thank you!
I super love Rick and Morty! Great poster!
It's so great! Thank you!

Thank you! And that's a good point about Nora's mom! :)
I sent you a pm about a lap desk I use when I bead on my couch. love your new art! loving black lace sampler!
Since that message, several lap desks have gone on my wishlist :D
I adore the Blackwork Lace Sampler, even though the 'sampler' part is so pretty I for some reason keep seeing the border as the perfect frame for a special picture...no idea how I would go about doing that but it is sort of like trying to unsee those odd images that turn up from time to time in wips. It is such a nice frame! Thank you :)

Thank you Kate!

Love the b&w poster and the progress on the black lace, but most of all I love your cat at the end.
Thank you! :D

Great video. I think the flowers look like magnolia flowers - beautiful - early flowering but only last a few days. Xxx
Thank you!
Love your posters. Going to have to see if either of them are available to watch in the UK now lol.
Thanks Lisa! :D

Thank you Teresa - I have actually been shopping for something like that to help with my beading!
WIPs are looking great. I LOVE the Black Lace Sampler. It is so beautiful. Must. Resist. And...I need that "Get Your Sh*t Together" poster. HA!
Ordered it. 😁
Haha the poster or the pattern? I support either decision ;)

Help! I'm stuck on Red Bubble and can't get off!
Enjoy the ride, they have all the things!
They almost look like cherry blossoms.
Agreed. I was going to say cherry blossoms.
