      I am a white guy, and I didn't learn that. I am literally learning right now in University that the Bantu farmers came to Southern Africa at around the 1st millennium AD. The idea that they only came in the 1800s is horribly inaccurate.

    • @showa546
      @showa546 Год назад +3

      @@ashwinnmyburgh9364 True. Bantus brought to central, eastern and southren Africa iron metallurgy, agriculture and overall much more advanced culture than hadza/khoisan/pygmy hunter-gatherers or nilotic/cushitic pastoralists. Unfortunately bantus were not centralized thanks to different enviroments througout regions they inhabit. That's the reason why only few bantu ethnic groups managed to establish empires/kingdoms such as Great Zimbabwe, Kongo, Luba, Bachwezi and Lunda, while other bantu ethnic groups were tribal.

    The disbandment of this great kingdom led to creation of many tribes in southern Africa. Some went to the place now called Botswana, Zimbabwe, Venda etc.

    There were many Kingdoms, in West Africa, established by black Jews, whose fore-fathers, fled from the Southern Kingdom, in 66CE.The British Colonial System, ignored it.

    The architectural structures of great Zimbabwe a well-known worldwide then the Kingdom of Mapungupwe in South Africa. To be honest I think that we should ask the Shona people of Zimbabwe, because they will tell us a whole truth because the media is does not tell the truth 100%.Great Zimbabwe's history is far very -very richer than that of Mapungupungwe kingdom in South Africa.
