      I do not think...
This is no different! These are winged rats. Pests, nothing more! The only difference is that the pigeon can be eaten. Not all of them, only the healthy ones.
And yes! Pest control with an air rifle is extremely enjoyable! not only useful.

Kevin Howard-Tripp The principals are just the same, the guys make super videos, these expensive guns will soon hit the dealers secondhand, that is your opportunity to own one, dealers are a bit lukewarm with PCPs so drive a hard bargain, install new O rings and experience the fun of PCPs, I had to do this, and I wouldn't part with my old Huntsman, don't lose heart mate, I used to ridicule PCPs at every opportunity until I was loaned a PCP by a gun dealer who really didn't like the idea of owning it, it was scruffy but I tidied the stock, fitted new seals as a precaution, it opened up a new world of shooting!

    • @HanSolo__

@@bobbythompson3544 I think he didn't mind the PCP rifles as a thing. The point is that the cheapest new Hatsan Galatian is 1/3 of the price of a new FX Impact. Both are PCPs. Both are great. Impact, of course, is a more capable airgun but the difference between those two is just impassable. Talking like for a guy that lives in some poor country and is not a medicine man or a lawyer.

21:03 -- I think you might have a Cape Sparrow there mate, instead of a House Sparrow. Wiki says capes are native, but idk they may still be pests, and in any case they are a thriving species as they like to live around people (IUCN Red List category "least concern"). So maybe you are taking them on purpose, which is fine by me.
As a bird conservation guy I am very happy to have folks like you reducing the population of invasive species! For every pigeon or house sparrow down there's a couple native birds that just got a raise.

First thing you need is a chrono. If you know your zero distance, fps, your BC, and pellet weight the rest is just math. Test it a little in the real world to confirm, and good to go. Lazer range finder helps if you don't have a pre-measured range to shoot on, but you could use a tape measure to range out 50 yards if needed.

    1. I like you and your channel.
    2. Your friends seem nice as well.
    3. Stop "cracking" up whenever you kill an animal. It makes you guys look stupid, uneducated and unsophisticated. I understand that those animals are pests, but you can still pay respect.
    4. I would be stoked too, if I were to be sponsored by Nightforce as well. However, stop using "old" technology and upgrade to the SIG BDX, for crying out loud. You are already using a million other gadgets, so why not use an "all-in-one" solution? All this dialing and what not is getting old, if you know what I mean. BTW, nice video and good shooting!

      1. I am really happy AND surprised to see your reply. Positively surprised, if I might add. 99% of RUclipsrs that have the amount of subscribers you have, NEVER reply. Nice to see that you care and actually read peoples comments!
      2. I should have explained a little better how I actually meant what I said, about you guys coming across as "stupid, uneducated and unsophisticated". I am an air gunner myself and I do shoot pest animals as well. I try to NOT have people around. Why? Because I get tired of having people look at me in discuss thinking, or actually saying, "How can you kill such a cute little Ground Squirrel!" I am sure you have been in the same situation as well. Having said this, the last thing I want to do is, "celebrate" or shout out a loud "Yee-Haw" whenever I kill an animal. I mean, it is one thing doing it because they cause a lot of damage, and it is another making it a "celebration". I know that you feel the same way as I have heard you many times talk about taking down animal humanly! But there are some people that do not watch all of your videos, so they do not know.
All I want is for you to NOT come across as stupid, uneducated and unsophisticated, because I have, acting a certain way after a kill. I hope this makes more sense now.
      3. You are CLEARLY NOT using a SIG SAUER BDX scope in THIS video!!! You are using the SIG SAUER BDX range finder ONLY. Please show me where you are using the BDX SCOPE! The whole idea is to NEVER EVER have to dial again! Your Kestrel talks to the bdx range finder telling it where the wind comes from, the range finder then tells the scope what the distance is and the hold over and windage correction respectively.
Anyhow. You are a nice guy and I like your videos. I hope that I clarified a few things for you and thanks again for your reply...

    • @HILUXCHAINSAW

Helium would be a ball ache. You would have to greatly increase the tolerances of the rifle so it would still hold pressure. An air rifle that holds pressure for months would empty in a day or 2 if filled with Helium as the atoms are so much smaller.

Don't see any backdrop. What happens if you miss and the slug keeps going and then possibly hit something of value? Or even when it goes through a pigeon and keeps going? 28 ft lbs at 300 yards can still do substantive damage even to a human in the more vulnerable spots.

Make that 68 because trees don't have a running head start or wings, so leave the trees alone and shoot anything that's not stationary.

It’s not that they’re getting extinct; it’s more so that sparrows are invasive species. They exert selective pressure on the other song birds and make those go extinct. I suggest researching it yourself.
