      Hello,
There isn’t an upgrade version for the timing belt. If you don’t want to have any issues you should change the oil every 10,000 miles maximum using the original Ford oil from the main dealership, and changing the filter from the main dealership as well. This will help prevent any issues from happening

When the pink marks are aligned, there’s no need to talk about the pump timing.the pump can’t get out of timing if your not removing it.

You got the belt on the wrong way round the belt runs anticlockwise

Don't get why the timing has to be done if you don't move anything as the timing is set unless you're removing them.surely if you just remove belt and put it back in same way without turning engine everything should be same and the timing will still be the same? Expecially with the locking pins in place.

Exactly that but he did say if the timing belt snapped or stretched.
But that would destroy the engine anyway !
I remember having a slant 4 vauxhall victor in the early 80's and the timing belt snapped on that whilst doing about 90mph.
I re-aligned everything and whacked a new belt on it and Bob was my Mothers Brother.
I even stripped about 6 teeth off the fibre timing wheel on my 1980 3.0s Capri and it didn't do any damage.
Unfortunately they have removed the safety tolerances in the quest for efficiency in modern vehicles.
