Alicia Alicia I wasn’t a fan of Philippines hosting the pageant 2016. Tbh there was very little to like about the pageant other than the contestants. The stage was terrible. There was no Filipino influence during the show. And the girls had to share the stage with each other finals night.
I majorly oppose 100%, to the idea of having Miss Universe 2019 held here in the Philippines. Maybe in 2020, but not this 2019 when we have another chance to get our first back to back win in Miss Universe. I do not want another Miss Philippines (Gazini) who is fighting and working hard for a successful back to back victory to once again, feel the strong and heavy pressure of the Filipinos of having the pageant at home. I know Gazini is strong, and she will overcome whatever will come in her way, but please MUO, us Filipinos do not want the pageant to be held here at home. If Gazini truly deserves to win, even the MU pageant is held in our country, it shouldn’t be an issue especially if it is obvious that she nailed everything above and on top of every candidate. But I think because of the high bar Cat set last year, I guess every beauty queen prepared well to be competitive and meet Cat’s standard. I’ve never been so excited to watch the 2019 because of this reason.
45 minutes of operation spending on the operation is too much for a Ms. Universe. So she really focuses her time helping. Some Ms. Universe they just walk and take a picture for helping charity just to say they are advocating they are promoting.
