After having ignored all warnings and even have been disrespectful - there's no way to expect that other people risk their lifes for a rescue operation! But I feel sad for the kids 😢

People panic in that kind of situation though. It is humanly normal for humans to do all kinds of things when they are about to die. For example, it is common for panicked divers to take off rescuer's mask when grasping for air so most rescue divers under the coast guard is trained in underwater hand to hand combat techniques. In this case, it's super reasonable for them to be disrespectful because they are about to die and the rescue operation seems so easy to them and the rescue departments isn't doing anything. Of course, they don't know the hardship of the rescue department.

I think it's an unfortunate thing that happened but there is really no one to blame but the campers. They were told repeatedly about the danger that was approaching and continued to do nothing, then had the audacity to demand people to 'Do their Job.' It makes me sad that the one girl blames herself when it's not her fault, I hope she realizes that one day. I am curious about the repercussions the Boss faced after the fact, there is no way he kept his job after that.

I was crossing the Cairngorms leading up to and following the Stonehaven Derailment in 2020. I came across a couple that were camping along side the River Dee who were planning on staying the night during the worst of the storm, luckily they listened to my advice, because the following morning the huge boulder (5m squared) that was in the river, had moved downstream and the river bank had been washed away. It really opened my eyes to the sheer power that water has - that boulder must of been 10s of tons, yet was just moved!

Im OBSESSED with your channel thank you! What i don't understand is why you would even want to stay camping in the pouring rain to begin with! I understand that the employees wouldn't want to leave or be seen as disloyal to their boss. BUT they had their families and children with them! I bet they believed the boss who said there was no danger over the police officers. I do understand the culture is completely different over there especially the working culture. I've heard working yourself to death is a huge problem. But what I don't understand is why the boss was so stubborn to begin with? Did he just have a problem with people telling him what to do even if they were trying to save him? Was the boss too prideful? But surely the safety of his employees would be worth humbling yourself. Or after he said no he didn't want to move the first time did he feel unable to humble himself and admit they should go home after that?

Ive seen a similar situation in a boat full of asians where i saw the boat staff told the passenger they need to keep quiet becuz there are sharks in the area. The ppl were disrespectful and kept partying. At some point, a massive shark attacked the boat. Once this happened, suddenly everyone shut the hell up.

my sympaty goes only to the children, rescuers and relatives, the adults made their choise and they paid the price for it, the children however did not get to make a choise, it was forced on them by their parents, which resulted in their death, this is why the police in this kind of scenario shoulc at the very least take the children away with force if they refuse to move as the kids should not have to pay with their life for their parents mistakes, the boss need to be arrested and prosecuted for everyones death as he is directly responsible for them, they died because of his choise and he need to pay for it.
